08th October 2021
FIGHT! kicks off with the opening credits followed by pyro where we remain in the CHI Health Centre in Nebraska before the crew travel to Missouri for Fall of Man!
Bocchini: ”It’s almost time! Ladies and gentlemen, Fall of Man is almost upon us but first we are here for FIGHT!”
Striker: ”That’s right Rich but we are wasting no time tonight as we get straight into the action and here comes Jon Moxley!!”
Moxley makes his way to the ring through the crowd to a huge ovation and we are ready for our opening match!
Jon Moxley vs. Karl Anderson w/Doc Gallows
Anderson tries to take Moxley by surprise but Moxley sees him coming and takes him down to the mat followed by quick punches to the side of the head! Moxley stays in control and uses his vicious bullish offence to stay on top. Moxley hits hit patented rebound lariat and covers but only a two. Gallows trips Moxley but as Moxley goes after Gallows on the outside it allows Anderson to deliver a jumping calf kick on the outside! Anderson gets a little control but it doesn’t last for long as he goes for a corner clothesline but Moxley gets the boot to the face before going behind Anderson and hitting a snap german suplex! Moxley mounts Anderson and drives his elbow into Anderson’s head viciously! Anderson is stunned and Moxley hits the Paradigm Shift before covering for the three count!
Bocchini: ”Moxley dominant here to kick off FIGHT! this week!”
Striker: ”Moxley will definitely have one eye on both the World and International Championship matches on Sunday! His approach has been so much more aggressive since his return, there’s no telling how far he can go with this new attitude!”
Next, we see highlights from the closing moments of Warfare last night including Samoa Joe defeating Kross and Levi as well as Aleister finding that Adam Scherr was no longer in exile and had escaped!
Bocchini: ”This situation with Aleister and Adam Scherr is a little scary Matt, but would it be fair to say Aleister hasn’t been focused as maybe he should be considering his opponent on Sunday is Samoa Joe?”
Striker: ”I feel like Aleister had a plan walking in to Sunday that consisted of a 7ft monster in Adam Scherr but it may have backfired last night! Aleister has no choice now but to fully focus on Samoa Joe on Sunday or else we could have a new champion!”
Bocchini: ”Aleister has been a dominant champion ever since winning the title on Championship Warfare all them months ago, maybe some over confidence from Aleister, either way I can’t wait until they finally meet on Sunday!”
Willow Nightingale vs. Lexi Kaufman
Up next, the debut of Willow Nightingale in PWU!
Nightingale displays her power and strength in this match straight away as Lexi struggles for momentum, Nightingale constantly out powering Kaufman. Nightingale hits hard with huge forearms to the chest followed by a series of headbutts. Nightingale hits a corner splash followed by a beautiful Samoan drop for a near fall! Nightingale sets up for a basement cross body but Lexi rolls out the way and goes on offence. Lexi keeps Willow grounded with a series of kicks and a nice standing moonsault. Lexi counters a running attack with a drop toe hold sending Willow draped over the middle rope following by driving her knees to the back of Willow! Back and forth action continues between the two but in the end, Willow’s power is too much for Lexi to handle as Lexi goes for a hurrincarana but Willow counters with a sit-out powerbomb which is enough for the 1……..2…….3!
After the match we see Piper Niven appear by the stage, staring a hole through Willow! The two lock eyes before Piper makes her way to the back…
Striker: ”Willow with an impressive debut and she seems to have caught the attention of Piper Niven! Now that’s a match I’d pay to see!”
Bocchini: ”The Women’s division hotting up here in PWU!”
Striker: ”Talking of hotting up…..this feud between Kenny Omega and CM Punk has been boiling over for weeks now….Adnan Virk had a chance to sit down with CM Punk earlier this week, let’s hear what he had to say….”
We go to the studio where Adnan is sat opposite CM Punk, Punk sat on a sofa in his casual clothes looking calm and collected.
Virk: ”Well Punk, thank you for joining me for this interview as you know I’ve already spoken to Kenny but the main question on everyone’s minds I guess would be….why Kenny Omega? And why now?”
Punk: ”It’s not too difficult to figure it out. Kenny has been going around for years stating that he is the best wrestler in the world, a moniker that was mine….and to be honest with you, I think Kenny’s full of s**t. I’ve wrestled all around the world, the biggest arenas, the biggest companies and I did all of that by hard work and on my own. I didn’t ride the coattails of my buddies to get where I am, I got to where I am through working my ass off and determination. Omega loves to bring up his PWI top 500 rating like that even matters but seeing as that matters so much to him, I’d like to remind him I was also number one on that list back in 2012….”
Virk: ”What’s the difference between CM Punk now and CM Punk in 2012? Obviously we’ve seen your career change drastically over the last 9 or so years, what’s different now? What made you come back to pro wrestling?”
Punk: ”I’ll admit that I’ve suffered some set backs but to me that’s what makes me so damn unique. Kenny likes to speak about the last 10 years of my career but really he knows deep down that his career doesn’t compare to mine. He was in the minor leagues while I was holding the WWE Championship….whoops I mean that ‘company in New York’s main title’ I have everything to gain and absolutely nothing to lose in PWU. People can draw similarities between us but there’s only one Best In The World……and that’s CM Punk and Kenny take a look and listen to me……on Sunday, you are getting in the ring with the very best professional wrestler alive. You are getting in the ring against CM Punk of 2021, not 2012 and this CM Punk is better than he’s ever been and more determined to prove that you are nothing more than a con man, a fake, a pretender. In The Bullet Club, your nickname was The Cleaner because you were cleaning up crime scenes? Ohh scary…..the only crime committed here Kenny, is fraud. You let people believe that you were the best wrestler in the World even though I hadn’t yet hung up my boots….but maybe you can go back to Japan and clean the dojos or maybe while you’re doing that you can go and polish The Young Bucks, we all know you’d like that…..Your buddies oops sorry ‘ex buddies’ if we’re keeping it kayfabe wont be by your side on Sunday, the people you’ve used and stepped over to get to the top won’t be able to help you and when it’s all said and done you’ll be looking up at the lights and you can say to yourself……I’ve just been beaten by The Best In The World……you talk about The Elite…..well Kenny you’re looking at the elite wrestler in PWU and that’s CM f*****g Punk….”
Virk: ”Umm well……thank you for your time CM Punk…..”
Punk stares down the lense of the camera intensely and we go back to Striker and Bocchini.
Striker and Bocchini run down the Fall of Man card for Sunday and then there is a promo video announcing the final eight teams in the Road Warrior Invitational tag team tournament which will kick off on next week’s Warfare! The teams announced in the video are The Good Brothers, D.I.Y, Kazarian and Daniels, Keith Lee and Lio Rush, Heath Miller and Rhino, Motor City Machine Gunns, FTR and a final mystery team that wont be revealed until after Fall of Man! Brackets announced on Warfare next week!
Bocchini: ”Man, I am hyped for the Road Warrior Invitational tournament! 15 teams announced plus a mystery team still to be announced, who’s your money on Matt?”
Striker: ”Well it’s difficult to look past The Hardyz, experience and numerous championships between them so I’m going with The Hardyz….”
The screen then goes blurry and there’s interference. We then see the Xcite Champion, Pac sitting in a darkened room with the title glimmering in the dim light.
Pac:”Sorry to interrupt this broadcast but it’s time to get this off my chest. Stu Bennett…..Davey Williams you’ve tried to stack the deck against me by appointing Stu as the referee for my match against Alam on Sunday…..just to let you all know that it’s over for you Stu….and you Alam. You see (Pac begins shuffling cards) you can stack the deck……but if I have the power card…….there’s no amount of stacking that can change the outcome….”
Pac reveals the apocalypse card to the camera and lays it on the ground before the camera zooms in before we go back to the commentary team….
Bocchini: ”What the hell was that about!? Pac predicting an apocalypse at Fall of Man? Our GM Stu Bennett may need to watch out…..”
Striker: ”Pac ready for his title defence on Sunday and what a match that’s going to be!”
Claudio Castagnoli w/Ric Flair vs. Johnny Gargano w/Tommaso
Castagnoli comes out to a decent reaction accompanied by The Nature Boy, as does Gargano accompanied by Tommaso.
The two talk trash to each other before the bell before Claudio slaps Gargano across the face to which Gargano retaliates with a slap of his own. The two lock up and Gargano is backed into the corner before Castagnoli drives his shoulder into Gargano’s ribs. Claudio takes control early on with numerous hard forearms and a nice snap suplex. Castagnoli wears down Gargano using his strength but Gargano reverses a german suplex attempt with a roll through, 1…….2……only a two! Gargano then gains some control of the match. Gargano hits his roll up head kick which sends Claudio on dream steet before Gargano follows up with a basement dropkick to the head. Quite an even match as Castagnoli gets back into it after a running hurrincarana attempt by Gargano is blocked and Claudio hits a sit out powerbomb. Claudio awaits Gargano to return to his feet and hits a springboard kick to the head followed by a german suplex pin attempt but only a two! The match continues and Gargano thinks the match is won after a slingshot DDT but only a two! The back and forth action here continues but in the end, Castagnoli locks Gargano in the sharpshooter! Gargano tries to wrestle out of it but Castagnoli wrenches back and Gargano taps out.
A great match to end this week’s FIGHT! we fade to black as Flair hypes up Castagnoli while Tommaso checks on his fallen team mate in the ring.
