I swear we were told they'd be rereleasing that figure.
I know things can be subject to change but can anyone shed any light on this?
One would think it'd be slam dunk to rerelease him in the Legends line. No one would even care if its in the exact same King gear either.
I'm guessing they lost the license ...

Even if they release the figure again or a new one; whos to say you'll find it. The Elite Harley Race seemed to only make it to certain stores. Only a handful of people seem to have seen it in store too.

RSC ones are great because we can obviously get them easily but WalMart and Target ones are ridiculous. |

Im surprised they haven't resigned him if his deal expired. I can understand them not signing some jabroni midcarder but Harley Race is one of the real greats in the business and this was one of the best figures they had done and they wouldn't have to "create" a new figure. They could also give us a 2nd Race as a BAF manager or something.

I was lucky and able to get him off Walmart's site for the couple minutes he was available. I was able to get Jake, Ricky and Harley at different times online. I passed on Austin, which seemed the easiest to get online, thinking I would pick him up later. The only spare suit torso I have is Kane's blue suit from one of the BAF sets I didn't buy all of the figs for so that is my current Commish Shawn.
I think Brickseek still gave the quantities back then and I don't think that they ever hit Chicago Walmarts.

He was sick and then passed away in 2019 so that might have complicated the timing of things. They probably wanted to give his family time and space before contacting them and that is assuming that there aren't any issues with his estate. Adding to that, lineups are planned over a year out and WWE still has to agree/offer the Legends deal.

I know I wouldn't constantly check those two stores to see if they just happen to have the exclusive but especially these days I'm definitely not going to either store. |

I'm pretty sure that after he passed away his legends deal expired. Of course it would be nice if someone would confirm this.

I've come to terms with the fact that I have to replace King Harley Race with King Corbin. I just haven't pulled the trigger on King Corbin.

There are plenty of figures I had to pay over retail for because I either missed out on them or just couldn’t find them. As much as it sucks for people to have to pay higher prices it’s kind of nice having a figure that’s in demand and worth a bit more. I’ve paid almost triple for some of these store exclusives before ringside started stocking them and will probably have to go back to that again now. How Mattel hasn’t figured out some way to fix the distribution on these toys and make everyone have a shot I’ll never know
