hey posting something for the first time here! i wanted to share this arena that i'm making let me know what you all think!!

Very cool looking! I would love to see the commentator set up.
Looking at this now I realize Nitro was probably the basis for the Titan Tron and Raw set up. Raw was still doing their basic sets while Nitro was a bit ahead of the game. I think the Titan Tron wound up being bigger better than the Nitro set but Nitro probably made WWF step up their game.

Definitely looking good. I still want to make a new longer ramp for my old Smackdown stage. Those things were way too short.

yeah nitro really set the tone for what followed! as far as the commentator set up goes itll be some time dont have the resources or time currently but will get back to it surely!

Really cool piece. What materials did you use?

3d printed arches,logos and mini spots. used acrylic plastic sheets to make the stage and applied electrical tape to make the pattern underneath then applied a cross stitch canvas sheet after spray painting it silver to give the mesh look. the side letters are laser cut steel sheets glued onto wood added ws28211 leds to be able to program custom light patterns later on still figuring out how to do that.

yeah really been debating how i should go about it. its definetly on my mind il try using pixel leds and replace some small mini cabinet lights but im really running out of space hopefully will try to make a stand alone light setup around the large truss itll be alot of work though

man im not gonna lie with the internet you can literally find hundreds of people to help you online and il put up a break down of all the components and its actually not that hard at all. this is literally the first time i did something like this im happy with how it turned out. it can definitely be better but if i keep making it il get good i kinda know it now after doing it and obviously you cant do it alone you need to out source laser cutting or 3d printing if you dont have those but the rest you can easily do give it a try!!!

new led light update

heres a new update the leds really make it look amazing so much more alive. gonna add the 4 mini yellow spot lights on each side and thats pretty much most of it done for now. this was a pain in the ass to do ngl but the results are great. the commentator area and spots on the truss will have to wait for now but i was looking for a specific part from a jakks trash talkers playset. its the chain mesh backdrop if anyone has one they dont need or one thats like cheap let me know i need it to add at the back and put a 3d printed wcw logo on it!

How long did it take?  I know you said anyone could do it -- but seems like for me personally, it would be a ton of work. Seems pretty difficult.

itll take time took me about 4 months and im still working on it. but its great given that its still lockdown around the world best time to do it now. you can always split the work with someone. i made lots of ups along the way alot of parts had to be redone but its totally doable

3D Printing seems more common now, but I presume it's still way out of the reach of the average joe soap in terms of cost? Or are there places that you can go to get stuff 3D printed cheap-ish?
