Buying older figures is getting expensive

Some of those are hard to get. You pretty much have to get these as soon as they come out or your out of luck.

I've already sold off my modern / current figures. These prices are making me tempted to sell my 80s / 90s / 00s as well.

I really want Rikishi and Scotty 2 Hotty but haven't found either within my 30 to 35 limit i have set for myself, i hope Mattel can put them out again

And Elites absolutely slow compared to Marvel Legends. THAT line has blown up in the last 3 years, so much good stuff hits so often.

I'm kind of glad the last 2 empty spots in my Legends collection, Akeem and Kevin Von Erich, were the only times I had to pay close to $100. Makes me REALLY glad I bought two of some guys, like Martel, when I found them loose with no staining.

If you're a loose collector and don't mind the slight differences, these were also released again years later... Diesel in the Network Spotlight line, and Mankind and Edge in the SummerSlam sub-series. They might be easier/cheaper to track down...(?)

My list i still need to get my golden era collection complete is very expensive at this point. Ax and smash, rockers, akeem, gorilla, rick martel, king harley, natural disasters, rumble macho king, rsc macho king, rsc pink jacket bret, rsc heel debut shawn michaels. Does anyone see these going down in value at any point or up?

A couple of those are still reasonable but I doubt those older Legends are ever likely to go down much since the chances of them getting new figures seems slim.

King Harley and gorilla may go down if/when there’s a second release. Natural disasters and rse heel Shawn aren’t too expensive are they?
The others are either much older or just because the character rights aren’t expected soon

I'm sick to my stomach at the prices of older elites. Really makes me wish I wouldn't have dumped my collection a few years back. Sold them for far less than what they go for now.

Bought myself Legends 5 Macho loose complete today & I was surprised at the price.

Seller had great feedback & there was heaps of pictures. Snapped him up. Very pleased

Look at it this way - if you knew a global pandemic was coming that would send collectible prices soaring, you could have made a lot more money than on some action figures.  Point is, nobody could have seen this big of a jump coming.

Selling figures online was predicted as being lucrative years ago, but the pandemic has sent the prices through the roof.

Just realised i shouldn't have said that.... They are awful and overpriced and smell like seaweed... No one else should start collecting these actually flood the market with them.
