Pretty cool! WWE and NBCU make an excellent team, and it’s good to see their continued success. Between this and Fox, WWE is in very solid shape for years to come. Hopefully, some of this money goes on some more dates for Goldberg, Brock and Rousey.

I wonder if they will continue to make new content for them to publish. I was looking forward to that dark side of the ring rip off they were doing.

I think its cool. My WWE streaming app always has bugs. Question though (if anyone in-the-know, knows) -- Are we going to get to watch the Raw and Smackdowns as they happen now or are they still going to delay them by a month and not air the full shows? Fox still has the SmackDown rights, so nothing will change there.

Too soon to tell. NXT was mentioned as potentially moving from USA to Peacock, but that contract isn't up until like October. There's a lot of uncertainty as far as what Universal will be getting and asking from WWE. As of now, it looks like Raw and SD will be on the app 30-days later and NXT will be added 24 hours after it airs. I'd immediately subscribe if they added Evolve/DGUSA/Progress, but I'm not holding my breath lol

I believe if you're international, nothing changes. NBC is paying WWE... ...for the next five years. It's 4.99 for a version with commercials or 9.99 for commercial free. So you could either save money or pay the same. No price hike. Oh and it's over, Vince failed. How did Vince fail? He just made even MORE money. I think that’s a win for him.

this seems like a natural move, keeping up with the Jones' on networks would be an needless expense when they can just be a feature of an established major one.
I hope it ends up with them putting more classic content up and I might subscribe again for a month or two.

I’m just hoping its a smooth transition and we dont lose content we already have from the network.
If it goes smooth and now I can pay one base price for both WWE Network and NBC then I’m on board.

It’s seems like all the streaming services are in a war to acquire content and Wwe had a wealth of content and got to cash in.

I guess it depends on if those 2 million people stick with peacock when the transition takes place. I thought the same thing about HBO Max and the Warner deal, I couldn’t figure out how anyone was making any money, but the analysts were calling it a genius game changer.

There are around 1.1 million paid subscribers. Honestly, we'll have to wait and see just how profitable this is for both parties. Everyone's just kind of guessing right now. WWE hasn't changed their 2021 guidance yet. After this morning, revenue expectations are the same. My gut reaction is that Universal could have gotten this same deal for significantly less money. To my knowledge, there were no other bidders.

Fastlane will be the first PPV on Peacock (if my math is right). There's a track record of numbers bumping for Mania with a free trial and then dipping back (even below) normal. Like I said, we won't know until they update their public financial information. It shouldn't take too long. We'll likely have a sense of the bigger picture at the next quarterly conference call. There's a lot of expenses that go with the network and if Peacock is footing the bill for those as well, WWE's profits will be even bigger. It'll be interesting to see long term how many of the current network subscribers will stay at the $5 option over the $10.

This could be a good thing but I could see them trying something similar to make us pay for PPVs like UFC which won’t work. Hopefully this doesn’t affect physical releases we will always need them.

On a side note does anyone know if peacock will be available on the Amazon fire stick once this official launch takes place. I’ve searched a whole bunch of time and the only thing that comes up is the universal app.

If they have the same stuff the network has I guess it’s ok. But if it goes downhill that’ll suck.
