I'm kinda curious to know everyone's personal opinion on the matter. Jazzwares/Wicked Cool Toys announced the second figure line for AEW Unmatched.
Initially I was under this impression that the AEW line probably won't get to the same degree as mattel or jakks wwe and was expecting it to maybe stop being produced after so many series.
With this announcement made it seems it may be more possible that they are attempting to go as big as the wwe line figures in hopes of getting to 100 different lines/series.
That also being said, many people still have a hard time obtaining these figures and they aren't as heavily produced as jakks or mattel.
Anyways, what do you think? Will the line eventually be cut off after a certain amount of figures or are they going to go big and create thousands of figures?

I mean, I don’t know if it’ll hit “thousands” but I think another couple of years at least.

They'll continue to make toys as long as they sell and make Jazwares/AEW money.
From the looks of it, since August they're released 3 waves with a 4th already on the way. The 3 that are out have all been found in stores. Target is picking up the series soon, so I expect other retailers to follow. You can tell that Jazwares is in this for the foreseeable future. I'm expecting a good few years of these things and then we'll see where the world takes AEW.

If you have the whole collection, it will end up making you a rich man.

I'm guessing the overall line will do well, but it's too soon to tell.
We're still in the fever pitch for these things and there hasn't been a cool off period. We'll know more in a year. Maybe longer.

As a brand, AEW has really been a home run. They exceeded their profitability targets by years with the TNT extension, and viewership has been well above pretty much any early projections. The show is consistently one of the top rated shows of the night among key demographics, and there should still be plenty of room to grow.
I think you're going to see sustained interest in the toy line. Just getting the figures into Walmart and Target is a huge win. It's impossible to know where the figure industry is going to go in the coming years. But I think this line is pretty well positioned to be successful.

If you have the whole collection, it will end up making you a rich man. Joke if you will but I remember a time where Mattel legends were dead on the shelf for $5 a pop. Now look at them. Not retirement money but better than some stocks lol

Not retirement money but better than some stocks lol I just have to say I honestly think that this line started off a lot better than mattel did. Given that all of the aew figures (as of now) are all in the style of elite rather than basic and they have for the most part all unique molds and etc. Ik its just a start, but overall the feel and look of the figures are really great.

With Jeremy heading things up I expect it to do well. I think the first 2 series were kinda test runs with the expectation to do well. The weird skin tone didn’t even hurt series one and the fact that they’re willing to correct mistakes is huge. Target now carries them and I think that’s a game changer that will help the line. If AEW keeps creating a bigger fan base I think they’ll become on the level of WWE within a few years. A lot of people aren’t into WWE and want a more current product. Each AEW series has improved on the previous so I think it’ll be around as long as AEW is.

option 2.
I like the line and genuinely feel that making the figures the same size and fit as Mattel's line was genius. I know a fair few kids and collectors that had no interest in these until they seen that Young Bucks vs Viking Raiders or whatever was now a possibility in their fed.
BUT? they gotta get them out there....series 1 needs to be shipped again in Ireland or at the very least the characters put into future waves.

If you have the whole collection, it will end up making you a rich man. If you have the following lines, you won't need a job: AEW Unrivaled Series 1 AEW Unrivaled Series 2 AEW Unrivaled Series 3 AEW Unrivaled Series 4

So far the figures are just too hard to find and the little stock stores get doesn't seem to last long.
The distribution has to improve for the line to have a long and successful run.

it is safe to say, considering that despite all the setbacks it's still incredibly popular, that we're just getting started.

I mean, I don’t know if it’ll hit “thousands” but I think another couple of years at least. Well not THOUSANDS per say lol. I'm just saying as in they will make a lot of figures like mattel is still currently making wwe. Unlike how jakks had a short run making impact figures Jakks had a short run with Impact because the whole thing was just a mess. Impact was a disaster in terms of business, and Jakks was just coming off the WWE license where they had gotten very lazy and cheap toward the end. The line itself was so lazy too. Aside from heads, they just continued using existing molds from the WWE line. So a product people weren’t really interested in + a company a lot of collectors felt turned off by, meant the line was doomed from the start. I think this AEW line will continue as long as AEW is going strong. Production and distribution started out wonky, but it seems like they’re finding a groove now and releases will become more frequent. Barring AEW basically going under, the only thing that will end this line is another toy company obtaining the rights and starting a new line (like WWE going from LJN to Hasbro to Jakks to Mattel).

This line is on fire right now. I don't see it simmering down til a couple more series once they get all the big names out there. Once the more repaints start happening it should be easier to find but until then its like the gi joe and tmnt lines. They already had 2 ringside exclusives that were hugely successful and they were both aimed towards adult collectors thats another big win. Plus they aren't scared to try new stuff look at Orange Cassidy for example..would mattel have gone to that length? I love mattel but I don't see them doing that kind of thing on a normal release figure that isn't ringside exclusive. Also they are listening and fixing stuff (the bare skin ball joints and pale skin). This line is delivering and also improving at the same time.

I think the line will do well, and produce many Waves of unrivaled and Unmatched over the next few years. I've enjoyed it so far. But as others have said, they have to get figures to retail.
