As a collector from Germany I am in the same situation (or even worse because I do not even get the UK stuff). I really wonder why you guys keep pushing this issue so much. It has always been like this and will stay like this. There are ways to work this around. I have never had any issues with ordering US only stuff if I really wanted to. At the end it is just a question of how much it will cost you and if it is worth it to you. Can you recommend a service for shipping from US? I've looked at some of the companies doing this (ordering and shipping to a US address which then forwards your goods for a charge) but many reviews are negative.

Honestly the best way is to find a fellow collector from US who is willing to help you. Usually it is really not that hard.

Anyways I don’t think it’s about pushing the issue, rather just highlighting an area needing clarity and likely this aspect is still unknown at this time. Honesty it’s a big potential market for Zombie that I hope he finds a solution to as it would gain him a lot of business and returning customers. Your right in that it will come down to what people are willing to pay, and how bad they want the figures etc. Personally I am not paying double what everyone is expected to pay from day one, I totally understand that happens but it won’t be for me if that’s the case. Trust me I want these figs but to a point. I still have real life bills to pay lol

I just sold a figure on eBay overseas; I said U.S. only -- but apparently has something called "Global Shipping Service" where I sent it somewhere in the U.S., and they boxed it and shipped it. It didn't cost me anything extra -- not sure how much extra it cost the buyer

I’ve used the MyUS service before (I’m in the UK), as I was hoping it would work out cheaper than Ringside’s international shipping. I didn’t have any issues, but it ended up costing about the same as if I’d just got the stuff sent straight from Ringside to me. I’d definitely recommend it if you’re after something that’s only shipping within the US.

You can disable that by unchecking the box for it when creating listings.

Oh -- I was TOTALLY happy with it. I paid no extra money, but was able to sell to someone overseas. I think it's great -- that's why I thought maybe something like that could work if people wanted to buy some of these figs off eBay

Yeah, I get that it's no extra cost. I still turn it off, with how ebay always sides with buyers, it's just too much risk to me that they could claim some BS story and screw me. I can totally get why someone wouldn't want to ship overseas. It just adds so much chance for something to go wrong. Especially with how bad the carriers have been in the past year or so.

crap -- I didn't think of that. I wish they could just send the whole box --- but of course they have to open it. Damn. I sent that thing minty mint, wrapped so well. I hope they don't screw me...

I think the eBay global shipping packages are tracked, but the courier they use in the UK (Hermes) is awful.

I just ordered a Ghostbusters firehouse using Global shipping from the UK and it came destroyed. I’ve never seen something like this happen. I was refunded, and the seller was reimbursed through eBay, as well, but it’s really made me think twice about buying anything potentially breakable that goes global shipping. This is how the box arrived...

Wow? Was this MIB? How does this work? If you were refunded and seller reimbursed -- you get to keep it any way I guess? So did you basically get your money back, but the playhouse would be mint if you opened the box?
Or was it loose, and there was a lot of damage?

As long as the item gets to the global shipping centre it is out of your hands and ebay assumes all responsibility for the package. If it arrives to the buyer damaged (or not at all), ebay refunds them but it's not out of your pocket.

It was mint/loose/complete. I was refunded under buyer protection and then eBay does an insurance claim through global shipping to protect the seller, from what I understand. The seller had to send the refund to me before he could do the shipping claim, from what he said. But the item arrived broken. The roof was smashed in several places, and the fire pole was snapped in half. My guess, something extremely heavy was stacked on top of it because it all seemed like pressure breakage. It has white stress marks on the base, too. So it definitely was holding weight it couldn’t. I did get to keep the house for parts, which is nice, but this is my son’s big birthday present. I was able to buy an incomplete firehouse since then. It’s coming from the northeast, so much shorter ride. Hopefully it holds up and I can combine the two to make one nice, complete version for him. But I looked for about 6 months to get this one, thus the reason I was willing to get it from the UK, and my heart just sank when it was delivered.

That's the problem with Global shipping, they open up your item to see it matches what was in the auction, and they don't exactly take care with putting it back inside to send it to you.
