For example instead of a removable sticker saying 1 of 500, there is embossed ink printed on the card and bottom of the foot 323/500.

Congrats on finding a way to make chases even worse Not sure why that would make it worse? I think it’s a good idea

How about no number for chases so I dont have to spend an extra $300 plus every wave. Thanks in advance.

The whole point of the chases is to bring more of a collectible/valuable aspect to figures so I’m all for it just like sports cards are all numbered.

Remember those Mattel WWE Basics that came with a 1/1000 championship belt? Can you imagine how much a Rey Mysterio 619/1000 or a R-Truth 247/1000 would fetch right now?

The point of individually numbering Chases is to prevent a Upper Deck Griffey situation which has been rumored in the figure collecting game for quite some time.
I can see the 1st, last and maybe a symbolic number like 316, 619, 247 fetching a bit more but other than that they’d all be equal. MajorPod would cream themselves for a 516.

Although already known before the documentary it shed light on Upper Deck printing sheets of Griffey rookies like money. I think we’d all feel more comfortable with a serial numbered chase as opposed to a sticker claiming a specific quantity.

I would prefer to find ANY figures of AEW in stores as opposed to worrying about finding a chase! Why have chases when you can’t find the regular figures in stores? I have gone to so many Walmarts so many times and only ever found a single Kenny Omega. If Jazwares can’t get their crap together concerning equal distribution and sizable production, the line won’t survive past this year. I’m already so discouraged I’m not even sure I want to attempt to collect them anymore.

Ok, so really, this doesn't affect me either way personally because I don't collect the super rare figures.
But personally, I have collected individually numbered trading cards in the past and, well, as a person with OCD, I myself hate it, but I can see why it makes sense.
There's a lot less room for bullcrap to occur when you have physical proof of what number that figure is. Like, with the sheer number of Mox's on the bay right now, if we could see the numbers for every one, it would pretty much prove that there's nothing fishy going on which, lets be honest, is always a possibility. I swear I am not spreading conspiracy theories but as stated above, it has been documented to occur before, so you always have to be careful about these things. Artificial Scarcity comes in many forms my friends.
But for me, if I was collecting them? I'd hate it. My OCD is triggered by pattern irregularities and having individually numbered trading cards makes me a bit twitchy when the cards of the set don't match. I know it sounds weird, but if I had the ability, all of my /10, /25, /50, /99 whatever figures would have the same number... which gets absolutely horrible when you realize, by nature, the number would have to be very low (1-10) and would cost insane amounts of money to collect all those low numbered cards.
No joke, that was one of the reasons I stopped collecting wrestling cards. Too many individually numbered series and too many variants. I couldn't handle it.
Just my 2 cents on the matter.

I have a Randy Orton plaque/picture thingy from WWEShop that I believe is numbered 2/500. Would it be cooler for it to be 1/500? Sure, but it really doesn’t matter. I suppose it might be a little more significant for figures like these, but would it truly matter? No, not to me anyway.

Also, it seems Walmarts only get a single case (if any) of a series of AEW figures. I can’t imagine such limited distribution can be all that profitable. I just hope I can start finding these at Target soon

OK, but here's the curse of it.
Jazwares, nor Mattel, nor any real figure company out there, give half a crap if the figures are being bought by scalpers or fans. Their profit comes from the sale of the figure. 20 bucks from a reseller spends exactly the same as 20 bucks from a fan.
But here's what does make them more money? HYPE.
Building up artificial scarcity and hype for a figure line may drive away fans, but it will increase the profitability via scalpers and resellers. By keeping these figures hard to come by and in small numbers, they are practically guaranteeing that the line succeeds... in a way.
Because, here's the catch.
Those toy companies? They love resellers. But the resellers? They need the fans.
In the end, the end of the line is always that guy who takes the figure home to keep. That's where the chain stops and that's where the money flow stops.
But infuriating collectors to the point of giving up on a line, you lose the final link in that chain and, eventually, the resellers who ARE buying your figures will give up and move on to the next big figure line.
So sure, right now, tons of people are buying the AEW figures and the line will continue. But if they don't start making choices that benefit the collectors, the fans will find other toys to buy, meaning that the entire chain will collapse.
And in the end, that can easily kill a toy line.
