Honestly, short of being really frustrating for completists and such, the way they handled this figure in regards to collectability is...kinda genius. At the reveal stage, you couldn't spit without hitting someone who was certain that this would be the least sought after figure in the set, and Jazwares/WCT took that and completely flipped the script.

Jeremy is a brilliant salesman. But I think it's stuff like you just mentioned and his "aww shucks, did I do that?" persona that frustrates me. They did some master class marketing, even if all the pieces didn't fall into alignment. But Brandi went from sitting on RSC for below retail to being a 3 digit figure. And that didn't happen by accident.

How many more figures would Jazaares sell and make money from if they just made her figure in the same number as the rest of the set? With it selling for 6 times retail and more no one Can say it would have warmed if made in the same quantity as the others. Jazwares gets nothing out of this hype.

Watch that they don't make Brandi again. Then the price will go through the roof

Jeremy's theory of change is that by building secondary market value for figures it creates increased collectability and secondary market value, creating a more profitable and sustainable toy line. We can debate how effective that theory is until the cows come home. But whether it's entirely true, entirely false, or anywhere in the middle is irrelevant. That's the worldview that Jeremy looks at this line, and he's the one who co-owns the company and is pulling the levers on how this line is built, and I don't think anything under the sun is going to change his mind.

I'm sure your right and who knows going forward who the next short print may be. Just glad that it's Brandi as she was the one I really was indifferent about getting. Love to find one just to have a complete set but not at the price she's going for now.

My brother told me today he saw series 1 including Brandi about 2 or 3 weeks ago. He knew I already had the wave and I must have missed them because I wasn't keeping an eye on brickseek at the time. I would've checked them out on the slim chance of finding a chase.

Guys, please. She wasn't short-packed. She just bought them all herself.

News to me, glad I didn't hesitate on ordering the whole set. It's not a great figure and I wouldn't blame any of you for selling over the next few years lol

Aren’t female figures even from wwe sometimes (not all obviously) more rare and often expensive? Maybe it hasn’t happened in a few years but I do remember a time when say the Bella Twins got their first elites that they sold out almost instantly and became hot sellers online after the fact. But like with most things, once things calm down so to the prices.
Brandi though is still $100 or more which is very interesting to see. Makes me wonder if Riho will be scarce as well. Hell, the Riho chase figure may wind up taking the cake for most sought after chase fig!

From what I remember, I had ordered everyone in AEW 1, but Brandi, but had also ordered a Bianca Belair. Instead of Bianca, they accidently sent me Brandi. They let me keep the Brandi (was not charged) and later sent the Bianca (was charged, since I bought it) after paying shipping or something like that. Very cool of RSC. My wife, not knowing how rare she was at the time, opened the Brandi, lol.

The Target exclusives are like Sensational Sherri, Liv Morgan, Sweaty Bill's Asuka, Wendi Richter, Peyton Royce and Billie Kay. Which Elite Bella Twins were hot sellers? Their latest ones E68 and E72 rotted on shelves before and even during the pandemic.
