So my Brother and his wife have a wonderful English Yellow Lab that they were going to breed. They went through all of this trouble to get her pregnant via artificial insemination, various vet health exams, and AKA Certification. Last night she went into labor and had trouble giving birth to her puppies. She gave birth to one who was a male. So the called the vet who immediately came to their house to help deliver the litter. The vet had to perform a C-Section on their dog who then gave birth to 7 puppies. However none of the puppies survived birth. My sister in law is a huge dog lover and is very devastated by the loss of all of the puppies. She had prospective buyers for these puppies and now she has to tell the buyers the bad news. The mother is alright and going to be Ok but seeing all the trouble they went through for this ended in total heartbreak. Please keep my Sister in Law in your thoughts.

Wow. All that effort to be able to share the joy of a dog and then that happens. Very, very sad news.

So sad. It's amazing how much of an impact an animal can have on your life. I hope her dog recovers with no complications & that your sister-in-law can eventually put this behind her.

I was wrong, one puppy did survive. They decided to name the puppy after the vet who took care of their dog.
