I would prefer seeing only Cody in eight different colors to the empty pegs I see now Oh do not put that energy out there. That's like the exact opposite end of the dang spectrum. That's like going from empty WWE pegs to pegs of 20 different AJ Styles. Neither one is remotely acceptable. I disagree

There has to be a flood of these things coming to stores right? I mean Walmart got the shipper and then thats it. Months with nothing on pegs. I found these 1 time luckily. If there is t a huge wave of these coming to stores that first set is going to be worth crazy money down the road.

Well were already at 3 Jerichos, 3 Codys [if you count uk ring exclusive], and 2 Omegas [if you count RSC ring exclusive]... For Wave 1.

This line is basically dead in my opinion. I think we would be lucky to get 5 or 6 waves. The distribution problem for the first wave has really killed my interest in this line. I was lucky enough to find the set at retail, but none of the 7 WalMarts around me got them in.

We were promised restocks, which never happened. Jeremy may be a cool figure designer, but no one should believe any of his high hopes tweets he spouts out. What really killed it for me was basically the bait and switch. They showed us flawless figures and when we got them, quality was ok, but likeness was gone. As you said, few more waves and that it. Less the. A million people watch it a week, the interest of these will wear off even for scalpers

The final releases looked kiddy, with a cartoon like design. I think thats why I like the masked figures like Rey and Penta more, because they look real or life like. It is what it is though. I love the box design, even though it is flawed and bend and creases out the factory. I'm fine with 5 or 6 waves, as long as they keep releasing new people from the roster, and not re releases. I want a nice AEW roster, I hope they get to make and release TH2 before they end it though.

Less the. A million people watch it a week, the interest of these will wear off even for scalpers Remember when they had that date announced of "This is the day these figures will hit Walmart"? Around that time- for a few weeks- the figures were expensive on eBay. I remember not seeing Kenny Omega (who I wanted most) for less than $100 MOC. Fast forward a few weeks of me not finding these figures at Walmart and I managed to get all of them minus Brandi for $140 shipped. I mean, the price put up by scalpers initially is already dropping. I really have no interest in Series 2. I might pick up MJF or Adam Page if I find them at Walmart (or cheap on the 'Bay) but I already ordered the Lucha Bros. from Boss Fight and those just seem like such better figures overall anyway. While I enjoy the Kenny Omega from Series 1 to an extent, the other figures all would have been huge passes for me if it wasn't the first series/me not having figures of them in my collection (because, no, I don't have a Mattel Cody or Jericho) I also thought the Jericho came with the AEW Title but ah well.

Calling the line dead may be a wee bit premature here lol.
I'm as critical as any of Jeremy's marketing strategy. I've been vocal about it for a while now. But the line itself will survive and be fine. Plenty more than 5 or 6 waves.

But now they know there is a demand for these figures. And you also have to factor in the pandemic and everything else. Once they are available in other stores and online retailers, the line will flourish!!

If Target wanted it to begin with, you can bet anything that they would have been there.

It seems like they’re going through all the big name talents first. I don’t have much interest in anybody after series 2. I can’t imagine many people who would buy the Best Friends or Sonny Kiss.

I love his look. He's fantabulous. Plus, represent! Give me a Sonny Kiss and Nyla Rose 2-pack in rainbow packaging next june and I will buy at least two. We're more likely to see a Ted Turner UE figure from Mattel before we ever got THAT, but a girl can dream.

I think people would buy best friends they are on dynamite nearly every week and people like them I would definitely buy best friends

Why would people not buy Best Friends? They’re an associated act with one of the most popular guys in the company

Less than a million watch it live in the USA. * Two very important distinctions.
