I have seen the initial shippers, and then a single restock of wave 1 at my local stores. No Brandi or chase figs in that 1st restock. Empty pegs ever since, and brick seek shows that to be the case at all stores near me. Tends to be frustrating for customers. I didn't pre-order series 2 from ringside, was kind of enjoying the hunt again but it's been pointless quite a while now. I like what they are trying to do, and I love Jeremy's enthusiasm. Hope they can hurry up and make some stuff happen before Walmart decides to give away the retail space that is going mostly unused.

You have to wonder what has gone wrong with series 1...is this simply supply & demand working wonders for the notoriety of the series or has Jeremy misread the current situation, hyped the series but dropped the ball on distribution (he may not manage supply and distribution, I don't know)?
I'm still intrigued by the series and the hunt to track down the remaining few I need but that intrigue will vanish if it's amateur hour with Jeremy and Co.

Less than a million watch it live in the USA. * Two very important distinctions. That, and there have been plenty of well merchandised marketed shows that have done under, or barely over a million. The demo is what is important, not the total number.

The miscommunication in regards to the figures making it to the UK (flooded with Cody, Bucks never making it to retail shelves) is bizarre. Did they produce too many of the one figure? Did they ship too many Bucks elsewhere? Is it a tactic or a screw up? It's fascinating.

1: Dropping a wave every month....HA!
2: Expanding distribution. HA!
The time for expanding would have been uhm like maybe the initial launch?! Who does commercials, advertising, release date hype, ect JUST to literally send one box to select stores? Oh yeah, sorry, and tons of f’ing rings and plastic belts. The launch date extravangaza flopped more than my bff when he has seizures.
I’ve never seen a man warble for more clout than Jeremy. Having a set of figures that sell out online with month back orders, never show to stores, go for jacked prices on the secondary market...that’s not a success. That’s just gaslighting yourself.
Unless they can legit send out decent boxes then I’m pretty done with it. Heck I’d rather see Omega peg warming rather than bare shelves. Oh and a dang ring and belt a’plenty!
We thought the Elite chase Dunne was bad. These AEW toys are just insane. They are literally the last brand that needs “chase” edition figures. I hate to bash because I was really pulling for these! A whole roster of fresh faces could have drawn tons even if the stores had a few warmers. But woah baby did this sour me. Unless they can mass distribute wave 2, I’m just ordering the bare minimum and that’s even gonna be a stretch.
Rant. Over.

As of right now it’s hard to say that they haven’t totally screwed the pooch on this series’s release and distribution. Maybe when series 2 comes out and they re-release series 1 people will be singing a different tune, but with all the hype and not a lot of results it looks pretty ridiculous. There’s a demand for these and people are anxious to buy these figures and give the company their money but something must seriously be messed up with the lack of execution being a dead giveaway. Also the secrecy and lack of news seems weird, maybe we are expecting too much?!

In regards to the lack of Series 3 news, anyone wonder if maybe there’s a delay because they had to cancel a planned figure? Jimmy Havoc for example, I’m not sure when he signed with AEW but they recently released him, so if he was planned for series 3 as an example then they’d have to make changes

And for once, Walmart is not the one to blame. The majority of these got bought up by scalpers anyway. We were promised restocks, which never happened. Jeremy may be a cool figure designer, but no one should believe any of his high hopes tweets he spouts out. What really killed it for me was basically the bait and switch. They showed us flawless figures and when we got them, quality was ok, but likeness was gone. As you said, few more waves and that it. Less the. A million people watch it a week, the interest of these will wear off even for scalpers you say "less than a million" like that's a small number? That is a small number. The demo doesn’t necessarily mean anything until they are a proven commodity. Shows with ratings like their can be pulled at anytime and be replaced with something that will garner more money

I rather they take theyre time with releases so we can get good quality figures. No need to rush a wave every month

It seems like they’re going through all the big name talents first. I don’t have much interest in anybody after series 2. I can’t imagine many people who would buy the Best Friends or Sonny Kiss. That's why they should start to incorporate legends into the line...1 or 2 per set seems reasonable.

If they're doing the monthly waves that Jeremy says are coming in fall 21, I don't see any way they do that without external talent. You'll still get regular repaints of top stars, but it should be spread out just enough, ala Mattel.
