I like it. Doubt we'll see it thought as most of their figures are not released to a particular event. But I would definitely like to see something like this for upcoming elites. Yeah I think the closes they will do for this is if they do one of the elite series that is already PPV based, but you are mixing events with the current line up philosophy. I just don't see Mattel moving away from the big bulky boxes so they can keep the action poses. You move to something sleek and slim like the ones in the OP the figures will be in the same pose and we've heard in the past how they discuss what poses to put the figures in the package.

I was just thinking about this a minute ago, they could probably do something like this for the WrestleMania Elite, Royal Rumble Elite, Survivor Series Elite, and Summer Slam Elite waves. I know they don't all come from the same year but they could do a generic background with the ring and audience and just add an image of each of the performers in the ring at the event. It would definitely look cool.

Smaller boxes also limit accessories. We already can’t get the super sized ladder anymore because the boxes are smaller, making them this size would make it harder to include tables and the small ladder

I'm probably forgetting someone but the last one i remember is Dudleys.

I bought that figure on clearance to use the body for a Nasty Boys era Missy Hyatt. I totally blanked on it coming with anything else.

Hi all, Hasbro have made the absolute genius idea of splitting the Star Wars Black Series into films, creating not only a novel idea of collecting your favourite film/trilogy, but also creating cool colour coded artwork that looks incredible on a shelf for the MIB collector. I feel like they get the adult collector market quite well. I'd love Mattel to do something like this but with PPV's. It'd be incredible to have a Wrestlemania 2 shelf, or a Survivor Series 1990 shelf and it's an amazing way of re-releasing old figures. I wasn't into The Black Series, but now I want to buy them just to display! The power of marketing I guess! I've mocked up some images here for you. It'd be interesting to get your thoughts. Thanks If they were to do a survivor series set from the same year, and focus on teams, them they could do what you have shown above but with the old team photos on the side of the box:

Great idea, only this involves putting effort into the product which Mattel seems to do less and less of with each year. Hit the nail square on the head. It would also cut into their terrible lines like Top Picks and myriad of store Exclusives we never see.

I love the idea of doing a Survivor Series set each year that is actually a team instead of random guys with Raw or Smackdown shirts. Sadly seems like most of the classic teams consist of guys that don’t have the rights to.
These boxes look amazing though.
