Everyone gets so down when they’re figure is made as a basic when it could’ve been elite why not cut out basic and just focus on elite?

Adults buying figures for children prefer the cheaper option. They have their place.

Basic figures with more limited articulation and paint decos will always exist at some level or scale simply because they represent the "entry level" price point for casual fans or parents with more limited income or whom are less willing to pay higher prices for special features.
Think of basics as budget figures more aimed at kids, and Elites and higher are more aimed at fans and collectors.

Basics are the base of the Mattel WWE line, which is still primarily a children's toyline with a subline for adults.

They should do away with basics and just make elites and reduce the price to $14.99.

For some people, extra hands and a tshirt are not worth $10 more.

They’re a cheaper option for younger collectors.

Because children don’t bitch about wrong parts used or which attires are chosen. So it makes them easy to sell.
