Has there ever been a time when more companies have been making wrestling figures at the same time?

None of the Walmarts near me have ever had the figures on pegs. They've always been out of stock on Brick Seek. One day, a few weeks back, they showed up at in stock on Brick Seek. So I drove twenty minutes to a Walmart to... not find them. I gave up. I bought Cody/Kenny/Jericho/Young Bucks on the 'Bay MOC for what I felt was a reasonable price (a price which meant not having to go to Walmart as frequently)

Its almost October and I go to 3 different Walmarts on the regular and I still have not seen 1 AEW figure in stores. I can't say I'm surprised.

I’m hoping it’ll be easier to find these in 2021. Yes, we’re in a global pandemic, but it feels like Walmart really dropped the ball on this one.

I’m hoping it’ll be easier to find these in 2021. Yes, we’re in a global pandemic, but it feels like Walmart really dropped the ball on this one. I think we have several issues running at the same time. Firstly, the pandemic has slowed down production and shipping, across all business. I also think Jazwares was conservative, smartly, but as we saw there was a bigger demand then expected. At Walmart, again, several issues that exist pandemic or not. The ordering system is automated, so if a stock drops below a certain number, it reorders. You can order by hand, but tends not to be what they do with toys. Usually just really really popular item (I.E., a slow cooker during the holiday season). The ordering system is good, and bad. The good side is, you don't have to worry about ordering generally. The bad part is they are always short staffed, and that staff is overworked. If it's between inventory, you may not see your count is showing things you don't have, and with all the things going on you just assume it's being slow to come in. I know at stores I've worked at, sometimes it would say we got in a shipper that was never on a truck. So the system says we have 30, when we have none. So it doesn't get ordered.

What's a general number an item has to hit in the system to initiate a re-order? I did my part in buying a couple figs that have been shelf warming to hopefully get this process going at a Walmart near me.

That I couldn't tell you, I don't know. When I did work at Walmart I didn't do toys, so I've never scanned anything to see numbers. I do know there is no general number across the board with items. I.E., milk is going to have a much higher trigger number then, I dunno, baseball bats or something.

Jazwares AEW, along with GI Joe Classified and NECA Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, are 3 mass retail toylines I have never seen in stores.

Just from what I remember talking with the toy dept. manager when I worked at the Wal, some of the toys are set to 0 but inventory is kind of difficult to keep tabs of in toys because it requires a lot of manual adjustments and if the DM doesn't really care about that particular section of their area, you could go a long time without seeing new stuff because inventory levels don't get adjusted and the DM doesn't like whatever that aisle has and won't do anything until someone higher up goes "these have been empty for a while what gives".

It’s not a good look when the Young Bucks have on-camera looked for them 4 times and can’t find them. They found like 2 Kenny’s and a Cody one time, and they’ve been doing looking off camera a ton as well.

Not sure if this means anything but I’ve been thinking about buying the belt just to have it, so I checked Walmart and while I did they had a link for Kenny and Cody and Jericho for PREORDER. Says November 10th, 2020. Don’t know if that’s something new or not but figure I’d pass it along for those who have nothing

I eventually gave up.
I don't have the energy to walk my fat a** back to the toy department every day just to look for figures that will never be there.
I have never seen figure one on the AEW pegs. Not a single one.
And even the WWE selection has been quite sparse. I'm considering making a trip to the next town over to look. At least brickseek lists them as having 6+ Elites as opposed to 1.

I have one Walmart that will be off for months at a time. They'll sell through a case (often with me buying most of the figures), and the figure count will sit at 6+ with zero figures in the store. It'll stay that way for months, until somebody finally manually clears it. A new case comes in, and the problem will happen yet again. None of the other stores have this issue, and this location is always barren across the board (ML, Black series, etc), so the issue may be the department manager just not giving a damn.

Which just baffles me to no end. I never worked in toys but I was a manager of four departments at one time, and I was absolutely meticulous with my inventory. If the shelf was empty, or I noticed very few of something on a shelf for too long and I was checking that inventory. Made my departments look nicer because the freight would actually come in, and would save me soooooo much time during inventory.

And you probably won’t see series 1 on the pegs at this point. Jeremy said in that interview that he strategically underproduced series 1 to get a buzz and want the retailers to order more. Then in the next breath he said they’ll produce more and in the spring they’ll be available at more retailers like Target if all goes well. Then Amazon listed Series 1 for preorder for late this year. Only to have them pushed to April and finally canceled. So clearly Amazon isn’t going to carry them unless it’s third party sellers. And did Walmart.com fill any of their preorders? I don’t think so.
Well the dept manager at one of my local stores has the 19th in their device as when they are supposed to get more from their Distribution Center. This is after the September date came and went with it being delayed because the Distribution Center never received more. I would be surprised/shocked if they actually did come in on the 19th. I honestly don’t think we’ll see more until series 2 hits. Most stores received 1 case and the shipper (If they were lucky) and that’s been it since late Aug - early Sept.

They've begun to hit Canada, but they're first come, first serve. You better get there early in the morning, or you're missing out on them.
