I miss hearing the crowds sing Jericho's intro.
And the announcement of the Mimosa Mayhem match is a dumb sh*t AEW match that I expect from the WWE. And now they're "waterboarding" Orange Cassidy with the Bubbly. SIGH.
Fail of a segment top to bottom. That made me not want to see the match more than it made me want to.

As I said during 'MURICA time, I certainly hope the Mimosa Mayhem is meant to be a parody, and they are painfully tongue-in-cheek about it in opposition to the seriousness with which the 'E handles their cinematic stuff. Not the thing I would devote time to as it would draw its own criticisms. |

Young Bucks and Omega against Indy Jobbers 4, 5, and 6. Show has been slow. I'm expecting these guys to pick the pace way up and get the high flying going. Not a bold prediction considering the Bucks are here. Omega have Lupus or something? Da f*ck are those spots on his back?
Double suplex spot by Matt looked really bad. Bucks and Kenny went for some kind of 3 way attack after and f*cked it up. They just went to commercial. Why are these Dark Order nobodies having a competitive match against these 3? Maybe they get some offense, but this is over the top. Way too long of a match.
I like the post match "scuffle" with the chair. Omega's turn is overdue.

Watched some clips on youtube of tonight's Dynamite. I loved what they done with the TNT title match. Brodie looked like a real psycho, thought it was real clever, how Cody has been beating people left right and centre. Only to be destroyed tonight. Real good story building, there either gonna go down the redemption road for Rhodes or have him turn heel and attack Anderson and shun his family!

Really good backstage interview with FTR and Page. I like how he goes in raging and calms right down when they give him the beer.
Darby Allin's match was okay. Wasn't too long and wasn't too short. I didn't care for any of the post match stuff with Taz, Cage, and Starks.

No idea who this Darby Allin wannabe chick is with her NWA Women's title. Thunderosa? Pass.

Speaking of pass, here's the women's tag team match. Brandi gives Dustin her action figures and he starts making them kiss each other. (he was making them fight I know)
Meh. Everything seemed like it was in slow motion. They just went back to commercial. I'm happy this time that we don't get picture in picture in Canada. I'm shocked Brandi didn't get the win there.
Card for next Thursday looks good.

Main event, They're already making excuses for Cody to lose this thing. Brodie's dominating here.
WAIT. WHAT? WTF? That's it? Well that was anticlimactic and shocking at the same time. The pin coming with 8 or so minutes left in the show REALLY threw me.
Sh*tty promo by Brodie after followed by some horrible "medical treatment" on Cody.
Weak beatdown on Arn, but I don't expect him to be able to do much. I was hoping Brodie was going to roll Cody off the stage. He just flipped the stretcher over and hit Cody with a purse instead. And of course Brandi makes her appearance.
Meh show. I was hoping for more.

So I know a couple people weren't crazy about this, but I loved this episode. I wasn't expecting every segment to be perfect, they aren't going to put out all the stops on the Saturday show, just a lot of them  Opener was great. I freaking love FTR, and their playing of Hangman is awesome. Tully having the jacket already was a nice touch. 8 man tag was decent, but the part after the match was the important part. I popped HARD for that. 6 man tag was a lot of fun, but predictable of course. No reason for it not to be though, it advanced the Kenny is snapping story. I'm now 100% convinced the finish at All Out is FTR wins, Kenny snaps on Hangman for losing (Regardless who takes the pin) and beats the crap out of him. FTR bails out Hangman, Bucks come out for Kenny, leads to both Hangman potentially aligning with FTR temporary or permanent, as well as Kenny going full heel, and FTR vs. Bucks soon after too. Darby match was fun for what it was. I was really glad to see Will hobbs get a shot on dynamite. Women's tag cup final. This is the one I was pumped about. This is the reason I couldn't wait until 10pm. I was not dissapointed. Right team one, and no one has mentioned it hear, but that Brandi Pedigree spot was F****NG Brilliant. The message was clear. Brandi acting like she could put herself over, and the immediate message of "No, we aren't that kind of a company". Perfect. Loved their "celebration" too. Clearly they both have contracts and I'm so glad for it. Speaking of which. THUNDER EFFING ROSA! No way she's on a PPV for just one match. She's clearly going to play a real role in this company. Guys, this might be the time the women's division really takes off. They've been slow playing it I think almost intentionally to get the fans pissed off at them, so that the fans are the ones actually demanding the women's stuff, rather than having it "shoved at them". If they are, that's low key brilliant, and it worked. So excited. Holy crap was I pumped for both of those things. Then the final match. Perfect. Let Cody beat himself up until there was nothing left, and Mr. Brodie Lee comes and annihilates him. So good. Loved Anna at the end, everything about it. That is how you put the Dark Order over, no lame ass x-mas geek beatdown, that is the way. I'm just bumping my thoughts cuz they got buried and I don't want to type them all out again. Also, not digging the mimosa thing. I'll give it a fair shot, but I was fine with that feud ending at 1 a piece personally. I agree with it needing to be full on 100% parody to be successful. Like, if I'm going to enjoy that 'match', I need to be watching Airplane/Hot Shots the match. If you haven't seen those movies. Stop reading this and go watch them. Now. |

Double post but oh well... The BTE on Monday could possibly have the best Dark Order skit yet. Brodie wins, they all get to celebrate with Chili's. Except for Reynolds, cuz he f***ed it up again.
