My feeling is that they realized they needed to change gears after lukewarm retailer feedback at ToyFair This is basically it. I know Magic wasn't a fan of them and was happy when he got control of the line. The renders we saw yesterday are proof that they should have just had him do the UFC stuff from the start, too. It's definitely a smart move, and I'm surprised they didn't go that direction from the get go. They'll pick residual sales just by having a line that kids can play with alongside their AEW or WWE figures. And I'm not sure on the particulars of sharing a parts library from a contract standpoint, but if that's possible it will be a huge cost saver. I'm looking forward to seeing full renders. Magic's attention to detail on the AEW line has really impressed me.

Pretty shitty though to go nearly a year between the first release and the second. They better knock these out of the park.

Pretty crapty though to go nearly a year between the first release and the second. They better knock these out of the park. They're probably releasing in April at retail, which probably means February or March on Ringside. This isn't a line that you can really do a series for every 2 months or you run out of marketable fighters quickly.

I'd imagine there are a ton of former fighters that would be willing to sign off on a figure deal, and young guys come along all the time. I dont expect 6 plus sets a year, but 3 to 4 seems like a fair expectation. I doubt it's happening anytime soon because of her involvement with ONE, but I'd kill for a Meisha Tate.

They're just now entering the engineering phase for the figures. It's a long process from what I was told. It's not as simple as "just put gloves on the AEW arms". Plus, I'm almost certain we knew from the jump that this series was the one series for 2020 and that the re-scaled line was coming next year. They're planning on quarterly waves, so spring/summer/fall/winter. I'm not going to complain about a potential 7 or 8 month lag time between series 1 and the redesigns,. Stuff like that usually takes a while to develop.

Good move to making them scale with the wrestling figures. I am definitely excited for certain people in this line and I am happy to see them already having women featured this early on too.

Apparently some currently signed ufc fighters don’t even have merchandise deals in place for them to make figures so making older guys will be hard. But I’m sure they will work it out in time.

Please keep the butterfly joints, that's one of the most important joints for being able to pull off complicated poses. And don't give them rubber tummies like the AEW line.

These renders look extremely good. Very promising start for the reboot series.
Conor is a no-brainer for S1 and Izzy/Amanda are also good choices to come out of the gate strong. I'm hoping for Cormier, Masvidal, and Miocic to round out the first series.
I did like the flags that came with each figure in LE set and hope that continues on into this wave.
Hopefully the belts are retooled to something closer to the AEW belt(s) and if licensing allows we get occasional soft-goods walkout gear (jackets/pants/shirts/etc).

Wow. I didn't think I'd get into this line but I need an Amanda Nunes figure
I can see me posing her punching my Ronda UE figure right in the face
