i think covid really has made everyone crazy back in the day, when Jakks had the WWE license, it was 4 weeks between first time seeing a set released on the west coast, to the time i'd see them here on the east coast....even going into the early days of mattel so like you'd start seeing people on here posting their store finds of a new classic wave, or the TRU wrestlemania wave, and they were all from CA/AZ, etc. then without fail, you'd see the midwest get em, and finally the east coast. i think we are all under this weird expectation now that every figure should be at every store on the exact release date. and this is the fault of the manufacturers and retailers promoting as such. they need to stop with their "street dates" and "launch dates"....unless you're like Funko, and you are guaranteeing shipment to every store on a specific day (Force Friday, etc) this kind of crapwith random collectible figure sets is never going to work. but we are being TOLD specific days, and then scalpers are crying to retail stores days or weeks earlier and getting them, or the stores just aren't getting the shipments at all because distribution is all kinds of ed. the focus shouldnt be complaints towards jazz, mattel, neca, etc.....it should be to tell them to stop giving out specific dates.

Ya that was my huge issue today, don't have a set date and announce it for two or three weeks if you couldn't deliver on it.

Need to move to the west coast just so I can find things is what I’m getting out of this post

**Hot Take**...If video games can be available at every single store at 12am on the exact day that was advertised months in advance than there is no reason we shouldn’t have these figs in hand today!

Not the most accurate comparison. Video games typically have patches post release to fix glitches, meaning they can be released knowing full well there are things to fix. Figures do running changes, etc, but those aren't to the same scale. Plus the video game industry is notorious for horrid working conditions to make those deadlines.

Big Dog, you can literally hold a factory sealed ps4 game in your hand on the date and time advertised 8 months in advance, glitch? What the sh#+ are you talking about lol ok a video game glitch is comparable to a shoddy paint application on a fig? You think these figs are being handcrafted by a Mom&Pop in middle America? Get real.

Get real. I don't think you understood my post at all. I never said they couldn't meet the dates. I said the working conditions to do so are often very horrid. Video game developers who are no longer in the industry talk about it all the time. 16 hour days for weeks and potentially months 7 days a week to get them to meet that date. Plus, the game is often released with many patches required to fix a lot of glitches. In the future, try to be more polite. Peace. Also weren't you supposed to quit collecting again today?
