And for the love of god, leave the employees alone. I happened across the shipper yesterday just as the girl who'd put it out was coming over to show one of her co-workers, telling him how she'd barely gotten it into place and somebody was already trying to jump ahead of her and tear it open. Like...get a grip. The last thing anyone in retail wants to be dealing with right now, amid a global pandemic, is any number of grown ass men treating a feature display like a god damned Black Friday bargain. But Jeremy fanning the flames with talk of a "limited run" and packing Brandi in revision caused a commotion. Call me a cynic, but I'd say that was probably the intent. Jeremy knew exactly what he was doing with every word that he spoke or typed. People always complain about guys like Bill and Steve not catering their every move to the adult collector, but I think as time goes on, the downside of having somebody that does think that way, who has gone on record as being a complete fan of "collecting as an investment", is going to rear its ugly head. I get Jeremy's thinking. They're generating a ton of social media traffic (positive and negative) and have whipped fans into a frenzy. He knows what he's doing, and honestly if I was in his shoes I'd probably do the exact same thing. The line is going to have a rabid debut and great sell through numbers, which will help them move more product. And in the grand scheme of things, most collectors will forget the sloppy rollout and retailers couldn't care less as long as it sells. But as a collector and someone who values his free time and sanity, it's a slipper slope that I wish we weren't starting down.

Being an exclusive line will have its ups and downs. Like without the exclusivity I seriously doubt they would have gotten the shipper this fast which increases the visibility of the line to Walmarts general customer base exponentially.

But as a collector and someone who values his free time and sanity, it's a slipper slope that I wish we weren't starting down. I just hope that, going forward, there's either less hang up on a street date, or it's more rigidly adhered to. I don't particularly care street dates in regard to toys/collectibles, but while I made a complete mockery of the anybody-should-have-seen-it-coming failure to deliver on August 3rd with these, if you're gonna run with a street date, you've gotta exercise the moving pieces needed to be ready to roll on that date. That's a tall order for something not typically dated for release like action figures in a mass market, general merchandise retail environment. Hopefully series two goes better - I honestly think the shipper is a slam dunk idea for the initial release while each series is still straight new releases, at least until the hype flattens a bit. Just find a way to make sure it's on the tiles when the doors are unlocked on release day - otherwise, they're going to keep getting caught with their pants down. People here at least seem to be mostly forgiving, given that it's their first time out of the gate, but that goodwill won't last forever.

Alabama peeps, first βin stockβ showing up in Birmingham. Unfortunately itβs not in a great part of town and I canβt get down there anyway. Iβm going to wait and see if anywhere closer to me gets them. Hopefully this is a good sign.

Aberdeen, NC now has 'em (for realz) in stock. Look for the display setup - no Brandi Rhodes.

Just found these in Massachusetts in the shipper so thse are finally making their way to the Northeast area of the country. The shipper was right in action alley adjacent to the toy department. Based on distribution I would say if you see 6+ on brickseek there's a good chance they have the shipper just a matter if its on the floor or not. great news, hopefully well catch em in NJ soon.

Brickseek shows them as in-stock about 40 miles from me but if they were ever here, they're gone now. I stopped looking and just bought them on RSC.

These figures are amazing and worth every penny; but the packages... what were they thinking?

Being an exclusive line will have its ups and downs. Like without the exclusivity I seriously doubt they would have gotten the shipper this fast which increases the visibility of the line to Walmarts general customer base exponentially. According to this, they are trying to get AEW toys into Target in 2021, so it may not be exclusive for much longer.
