AEW Launch Day Thread (most likely coming 8/6)

Yeah, I'm in PA and haven't seen them once in store or on brickseek.

I finally just got the backorders of Brandi and Kenny off RSC. I'm done searching. The RSC listings aren't too much above retail at this point, I'll take the hit and just wait it out.

Found a full set (minus Brandi) in Michigan today. Popped up on brickseek last night at a store a decent distance away from me. I'm working out that way today so I gave it a shot. I was sitting in the parking lot around 6:45 waiting for the door to open when some lady just walked in. I ran in after her and found them out on the pegs. I'm pretty sure the store wasn't technically open but I was able to self check out and was on my way before 7. Keeping Kenny, Cody and Jericho. But the Bucks and the 2nd Kenny are going to an Instagram buddy who's been helping me hunt.

Had to run to Walmart this morning after work and they were JUST rolling out the PDQ display of AEW and UFC stuff. Was just gonna get Brandi and The Young Bucks but no Brandi on there out of the 24 figures. Got a set of Young Bucks though and actually having them in hand, I gotta say these are really good quality and the articulation is INSANE.

Kind of. It’ll show you who has stock but that doesn’t mean that they’re on the floor to buy from what I experienced yesterday and what others have as well. If Brickseek shows stock and it’s close, I’d gamble and go. If it’s a good distance away, eh.

Brickseek has literally never been accurate in VA valley area. They say right now they have elites (Jim neidhart series) in stock (6+) and they literally haven’t had a single elite in well over 2 months 🤣. I only find figures when I hunt and no luck today with aew

So turns out that other store that I posted the pic of all the ufc figures that was showing in stock but I didn’t see them  actually did have them and they all sold out on Sunday morning confirmed by a friend of mine who bought a full set for his son and said he saw another person buying some was joking he was surprised he got em first since he doesn’t collect simply wanted them for his son who loves figures I didn’t get there till the afternoon 

i headed back to the store I did find them and purchased what you saw here this morning out of curiosity as brickseek is still showing in stock and they absolutely were in fact I went ahead and bought another full set while I was there 

so just FYI for those still hunting     ( and for BradPitt another judo on the general code

. My guess is Walmart said no to stocking the Brandi figure. Unfortunately it is harder to sell female action figures. It doesn't help that Brandi would be the only female in the line for at least a few waves. They needed to commit to at least 1 female fig per wave if it was going to catch on.

How many sets have you bought so far?

I’m 4 sets deep except Brandy only 1 of  her and then 3 randoms so 20 total unrivaled figures.
And then additionally  2 Conor Mcgregor’s

planning to order another Brandi on ringside probably later tonight  but fishing 🎣 for anyone that may have one they don’t want first using trade bait

Actually it’s being said that it was Jeremy’s decision to hold off on including Brandi in initial shipments. Instead, she’ll be available in re-stock waves since she’ll for sure be the shelf-warmer of this set. I can’t blame the business move of this as we see Mattel female figures shelf warm a lot (Billy Kay, Mandy, basic Becky). This helps their product sell and prevents stores from being overstocked with Brandi figures.

She was definitely an odd choice as a first wave first female figure other than the fact that she would of been available day one of the company starting.
