I'm all for improvement, but I miss the "olden days". Simple things, really. Like actually getting a prize inside a box of cereal instead of "download this app & play a free game!" Or paying for things in cash. Getting my groceries in paper bags. Telling the gas station attendant "Fill it up with regular no-lead". Sending away for an action figure & having to wait 6 to 10 weeks for delivery.
And it seems today that too many people either want stuff for free, want to be confrontational, or want to talk to a manager. They're called Karens or Chads. In my day, we called them @ssholes.
When I was a kid, we were taught about manners & (to a point), etiquette. It seems a majority of people I interact with have neither.
And I still can't wrap my head around young people making large sums of money by playing video games online. Am I jealous? Sure. It just doesn't seem right to me.
Sometimes I really envy the Amish.

Kids today will never know the excitement then disappointment when your waiting on a figure and you see UPS drive up, slow down, then pass your house. I remember my brothers and I just waiting on packages only to have this happen every day. No tracking back in the day. It was just a guessing game as to what day it’ll be delivered.
