Or a desperation move from Kingston. It’s not like this promotion pulls out the hardcore tropes every single week. Look it’s a great spot, but it’s akin to Goldberg/Hogan on Nitro with no build. It’s comes off great, but it didn’t do anything for business. If Cody was willing to do a spot like that, build up some heat with someone and bust it out on a PPV so that it generates people wanting to buy. This. Just like with the dives, the acrobatics are great! The guys today lack the meaning behind everything though. |

what's the point of a women's tag tournament when there's no women's tag title? To crown the inaugural Tag Team champs? no thanks. they don't even have a women's tag division, so a tournament full of thrown together tag teams does not interest me in the slightest. riho and yuka sakazaki would be the only interesting team for me, and even then i'd prefer they stay singles competitors. |

AEW has so much good crap, it’s just thrown out to us with little psychology and meaning. If they could figure that out, they would be unstoppable. Exactly. There’s a miscommunication where people say “it looked great though”..of course it did, the acrobatics are amazing. There’s a reason though Taker only dove over the ropes at a mania, and Edge speared Jeff Hardy off A 20ft ladder ONCE. It carries weight. Even if Jeff Hardy never dove off a ladder again, you’d watch with the same anticipation and excitement that he might do something crazy if need be. To this day they sell Hell in a Cell matches off the Foley match in ‘98 |
