My Hayabusa arrived, and I'm super impressed with how it looks, and the condition it arrived in. Chella are doing a great job so far!

Got my Nick Aldis regular variant in today, super impressed with it! I also pre-ordered Dynamite Kid! For those that are interested, Hayabusa & Bull Nakano are both out of stock now so they must have sold out.

Can’t help but think this is putting the screw to someone else’s ECW plans a little bit 😬

This one would make a perfect figure for an alternate headsculpt though...

Nova looks incredible, I think when finished the complete BWO set will look incredible together. This is a set I never thought would have retro style figures but man I am glad they do. Chella is really bringing it.

Nova looks fantastic, another home run from Chella! I'm really excited about the line going forward, they've made great choices of who they've signed and getting a complete bWo is a great idea.
Sabu looks great too, I can't wait to see it fully painted and see what it's like. Might have to be a purchase too.

Zombies arms are all way too long. Not sure what thats about. Nova is fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. Chella is nailing it. Novas arms remind me of bushwhacker arms.

In addition, Chella is nailing in on announcement to actually release. ZST can announce signings and show drawings but from concept art and in hand product Chella is delivering and keeps getting better and product is improving each release. This line of figures is so impressive.

I guess that’s one potential issue in releasing a whole series of 5 together at one time - if there was an issue then it could potentially affect the whole series. Whereas Chella are releasing one at a time, which might give the time in between each release to iron out any kinks/issues before the next release 🤷🏻♂️ And in no way meaning to derail this thread, but anyone else feel like one of the other retro figure providers keeps seeming to take shots at Chella (or someone else) for some reason? “So glad we chose a dedicated factory with over four decades of experience that specializes in creating collectibles for many of the top toy manufacturers throughout the world and not some cheap on demand print service” Maybe I’m just reading too much into it and more than was intended; but it’s the 2nd or 3rd time that he’s come across as throwing shade….

Don’t think you are reading into that at all dude, I felt the same way reading that. That provider needs to realise Chella is up against all the same process he is. When he does that he comes across as immature and jealous that another company is doing it better. Even outclassing him on customer service. So yea that vibe is there dude, I hope he focuses on his own product and goals rather than take shots at another company.

He 100% is. And he's not necessarily wrong with what he's saying. I'm sure the way he says it will rub people with thin-skin the wrong way, but whatever. I've actually been in contact (by complete happenstance for a non-wrestling related project through work) with the people in Asia who produce Chella's figures. They actually showed me Aldis as one of their samples of work without me knowing they produced Chella's figures. I learned quite a bit about their process. Literally anybody with a drawing and money can produce what they want with this company. The company Chella uses is in fact a direct to print model as Zombie mentioned (which explains why that indie dude nobody heard about was able to get a low run figure through Chella). Chella doesn't provide them with anything except the "blueprints" they post on their socials. The company in Asia then creates the 3D model for Chella. They really don't do physical prototypes which would explain why some things get lost in translation from the sketch to final model (looking at that squashed Bull Nakano face. Though to be fair, the height of her hair may have exceeded the limit of how tall the head could be and created a "squashed" effect, but I really don't know for sure as that's speculation on my part). It's a much cheaper and quicker way to produce figures than the way Zombie is doing it, but you do lose a little bit of control with what you're doing - which is ultimately why I couldn't convince the client to use this company.

If your in front you don’t need to mention your competition
When your behind you do
That’s the way it’s been forever: 1. Nintendo didn’t reference sega - sega did the ‘sega does what nintendont’ adverts
2. Pepsi have taken shots at Coca Cola in adverts
3. Vince never mentioned wcw until Ted started throwing cash around and he did the ‘billionaire Ted’ segments
Take from that what you will
One product is in people’s hands. The other is all talk and status symbols: original hasbro artist, best factory making toys for top companies…but no end product

Top companies compare their products to the competitor in adverts all the time (even side by side) in the States without mentioning the name directly, which is exactly what he did. He's confident in his product that he has worked very hard on. I think that's where part of his saltiness comes from. He came up with this idea awhile ago and was beat to the punch via this made to print method which he views as a "short cut". Is it? I personally don't think so. It's just different. But after personally seeing how Chella's figures are produced compared to his, he has every right to be confident his figures will be higher quality in my personal opinion. Will they be? Only time will tell.

I think it's disappointing seeing that comment from him, but I guess that's business (not that I agree with it). Chella are nailing every figure they've released, ZST hasn't got a final product out yet. I understand differences in production is time consuming, but if you look at it from a collectors point of view is that we have Chellas in hand and are more likely to support the line and be excited about the product out and the upcoming products. People have decided they want to support Chella because they're impressed with the figures so far released, same as people will for Zombie once they have them in hand. Until Zombie's figures release, he shouldn't be throwing shade at anyone.
