Just catching up on Major Pod -- and heard these figures look good, but feel hollow -- not close to Hasbros. Anyone know if they're planning on changing material? Buy into the product mate and try for yourself, take what those peeps say with a pinch of salt. All is subjective. I love the Chella product and they improve with each release. These are mostly for display to blend in with your Hasbros and retros so the ecstatics are on point rather than function. Especially since they’ve been bigging up the other line without a finished mass produced (in terms of the scale they’re doing) production piece

If I was Chella though I would not worry as that opinion can be altered rather quickly with a paid sponsorship or an influencer sample. To your point sir they appear to have a very invested interest in the other company’s success so will use their platform as such, and sadly it appears to have worked to some degree, as per the initial post I responded too, the gentleman strongly reconsidered the Chella product following their input. The fan base is referred to as “Marks” for a reason. If anyone feels that’s a term to be proud of please YouTube “Al snow - What’s a Mark” to get a blue print of the business model. That’s all I will say in the matter, as I have seen peeps freak out over this topic and these guys.

Off topic but based on you mentioning snows video I have to say his seminars and clips on YouTube where he dissects the art of wrestling and the business are amazing There’s one where he asks the trainees who has a finisher and some put their hands up and he’s like “bs none of you have a finisher, who have you beat with it? What was my finisher?” Some shout out snowplough and he says “it’s not, I beat none with that. I used to hit them with a mannequin head, that was my finisher” and goes on to talk about how to work and plan the match to the finish. It’s genius and shows that the flashy high flying moves or how many titles someone holds doesn’t = their understanding about wrestling

Wrestlers trained with this mindset carry this into every business venture.

I know you are joking but for the sake of clarity: There is nothing to allege when you have been openly selling bootlegs in the past. Benefit of the doubt, he doesn’t do that anymore. That doesn’t change the unprofessional and shady ways in which he continues to conduct himself. Again, benefit of the doubt - some people have a tendency to rub others the wrong way online and are sweethearts in real life. It does make me question someone as a distributor though which is one reason why I prefer to wait or pass on these items. Do you mean JB or Asylum? I was gonna preorder Hayabusa from Asylum but don't want to give money to someone who's shady

If they are offering them at the same price or close to, I would go with them based on my unpleasant interactions with JB.

Ouch. Wish more people were aware of this

Well that took a turn. I will say -- I did not come here to bash Chella AT ALL. I think it's great what they are doing. But I do think people have a right to know what the figures feel like and how they are constructed before buying. If there's nothing to hide, what's wrong with that?
Tell the truth -- then let ppl decide themselves

I get what the dude was saying though, as great bing peeps who are considering a heads up. You are right too though, no toy company would allow it lol

The difference is, Mattel and Hasbro and Jakks have been doing this for decades. We KNOW what it's going to feel like basically. They don't produce hollow stuff (and I understand why Chella does -- because it's cheaper -- no hate on them).
It also wouldn't cost me 40-50 shipped to buy a Hasbro or Mattel or Jakks figure and see for myself...

Same could be said for zombies line since no one has held a fully realised production piece - only samples

Yep -- and i would say the same, if they looked like Hasbros but then felt like hollow versions...

Hasbros were pretty hollow. The mechanisms had a lot of the weight

This isn’t meant to be snarky, I’m for real curious...
Is the weight/feel of a figure something people consider when buying toys/action figures/collectibles?

I think the difference is these are being compared to Hasbros and retros as they are meant to fit in with that world. If these were a completely new toy line there would be not a lot of complaints, but again I believe, and the same with Zombies are intended as display items.

Ok. That makes sense. I can say that I have Chella’s Meanie and Mattel’s Retro William Regal cosplaying as Shawn Michaels and the Meanie is heavier.

As the original poster, I couldn't have said it better myself...
