I don't buy a lot of duplicates. I'm usually a "one and done" kinda guy, so typically if I do, it's either a) Macho Man Randy Savage, or b) upgrading from a Basic to an Elite. Even B is a bit of a rarity, so I don't have too much in the way of pre and post TrueFX examples to go off of.
That said, I finally went and picked up the Shinsuke Nakamura Ultimate Edition the other day. I've had his first Basic for forever, and I never felt like they got his likeness down on his first couple of figures, but man - the heads on that UE look great. It's really an upgrade over the heads they'd put on his Basic and first couple of Elites, so I'm really glad I held off on getting one until now.
Who else has really benefitted from this new method of production? I figure all of them are gonna look better, but I'm wondering whose likeness you think really pops in a way it never did prior to being released with TrueFX.

I'd say The Rock from the Walmart Exclusive SmackDown set was phenomenal. A HUGE UPGRADE from his Legends figure. I think the alternate hands have also done wonders for the Mattel figures. I only collect current elite cruiserweights and the Buddy Murphy is my absolute favorite.

I’ll say Steve Harvey. Mattel really nailed his Sheik look.

This is a good question. I can’t think of the best, but the worst I can think of is Billy Gunn even though the original isn’t great either.
I can’t wait to see Orndorff. It’ll be tough to be better than the first figure

Another I just came across looking at my Basics is Ciampa. His Elite 69 face just pops when put next to the NXT Basic.

I'd say AJ Styles, Rick Rude, Bald HHH,have benefited from True FX. I'm sure there are many more but I'm not home to check.

The latest Triple H elite is phenomenal with the True FX, makes me think back to the early Elite sets and how much I hated the Triple H scans.

To me I think it’s just that the new sculpt used on the E69 figures was a much better sculpt than his first figure. I think TrueFX is more of the paint application on the sculpt.

I can't think of a figure that has had a bigger improvement from TrueFX than Lana.

Legit choice on that Shinsuke. I love my UE Nak.
How did we get this far into the discussion anyone bringing up Asuka? I did swaps with all the older Asuka Elites when the most recent one hit, it's just a million percent better now. I have a feeling a lot of female figures are going to be like this. Pre-TrueFx they had some pretty bad headsculpts among the women's roster.

Pre-TrueFx they had some pretty bad headsculpts among the women's roster. Loving the new women's figures. I was late to the game (around Spring of 2018), so I'm glad I didn't pick up any figures before. It's so much better with the updated heads (hit or miss on some, but most have been good) and double-jointed knees. Really wish the figures weren't so freakin tiny. We know a lot of women's roster is small, but they're not THAT small. *EDIT* I lied. I do have a few figures that I picked up before the double-jointed knees.
