Hey crew! Am I safe to store MOC elites in a non climate controlled storage unit? I am in New Jersey and the summers hot af. Are Matel Elites safe in hot storage units or hot garages?
Apologies if this is wrong board and I really appreciate your help.
Thanks!

I wouldn't risk it long term. If you had to do it in a pinch for a little bit, you might be fine.
MOC or loose, you're asking for trouble if it's not climate controlled.

I’d try and get a climate controlled one. That way you don’t really risk much and it’s inside.

Climate controlled only in my opinion if the storage unit is mainly outside. If it’s 100% inside the you should be fine.

Nope. Get an indoor climate controlled unit.

I had sets of Micro Machines packs (& Super Van City) seating in my garage in plastic bins for the last 3 years. The package alone was degrading & the plastic on the actual products were very brittle. The plastic bins are fine.
Play it safe & store in temp control storage room.

I would highly recommend getting a climate controlled unit. It's the safest move to make.

Not the best idea in the world. 2 years ago I helped organize a storage unit for a local disability center. Trust me it was a nightmare organizing everything. Dust everywhere, the ceiling was falling down. Spiderwebs, possible mold. Tons of stuff had to get tossed out. Plus I did it in the summer where it was as hot as an attic in there. The heat would do damage

From RECENT EXPERIENCE, do NOT store in a non-climate controlled unit. I stored my figures, including MOC ones, in that type of space for like two years, and man do I regret it. I had so many things requiring fig baths afterwards and a lot of joints that were warped. Even some of my MOC figures had warped joints from being in that type of heat in the bubble.
