Seen this disappear already. Ringside must not of had a lot of them because I don't see this being a super popular figure for most (even though I am so excited for it). Are they going to put up more or one and done?
If so guess i'll have to get mine from the auction site.

It's a pre-order, right? I'd imagine with the nature of those figures (the OPC Exclusives) that they probably only had a certain allotment they could pre-sell at this time. Whether that changes once replenishment cases roll in? Who knows?

They made more of them for online retailers to get some too. If these still have high prices it’s because sellers inflated the value

Anyone else think mattel is doing this crap on purpose to try and spike demand for the legends or first time elites ?
Look at all the elite 64, 65, flashback series 3, ghostbusters elite figures ending up either at discount stores, online stores, or liquidation buyers.
Same deal with these 2 exclusives, since Walmart and Target cut there orders. So ringside scooped them up and sold a limited quantity and now are sold out.
I think this is all shenanigans on mattels part.

I think this is all shenanigans on mattels part. I think RSC just pre-sold however many cases worth that they ordered for their pre-sales. Whenever they get their secondary shipment, they'll probably list more. But I do agree that Mattel is trying to create demand and get some buzz. That's not totally a bad thing. The last 2 years have been really rough. Retail has passed on their premium lines (EM, 2 packs so far) or had a limited presence (EG, UE). And their retail presence internationally has fallen off as well. I feel like bringing back Legends and responding to the high demand for the store exclusives was one of the last cards they had to play. I hope it works so we see more legends. |

Im just gonna be honest, everyone has complained that its been too hard to find these in stores and wanted them online. If they sell out (days/weeks) after they are posted and you dont get one....You lose your right to complain. Mattel did their part. Do yours.

Like Nivro said, get in on the preorder. We all had a chance, it wasn't like it sold out in an instant.
So many collecting problems in general go away if you take advantage of the RSC preorders. I've never had to pay $50-75 for any of the hard to find elites (Adam Cole, Buddy Murphy, etc., going back to the early elite days). I got all the original Legends figs for retail prices through RSC. I may pay an extra $5 here and there for ones that go down in price but I never, ever have to worry about missing out. I highly recommend it!
