I got 2 chase Rudes and both are a mess - black stains on arms (biceps and forearms), both legs and both right boots - ugh!
For those who wash the robes - are youair drying or throwing in the dryer too?
I'll keep checking to see if anyone finds a way to remove them - so sad.

After seeing everyone complain about them being stained I passed on the chase to save me the aggrivation. I pre ordered the standard one and by what I've seen they are no better as far as the arms go. I wonder if they are going to make things right with us with a possible running change with the robe off the figure and offering a replacement or just posting a disclaimer that they are all stained like they did with the Storm Hogan.

I'm afraid high heat in the dryer may peel some of the logos off. Never had an issue washing and air drying. The method that Axe suggested worked just fine for me. I did practice on one of the arms and it worked, but left some significant white residue. I assume the clear-coat spray would have taken care of that though.

I have the first NWO Hogan and washed his shirt straight away (I preordered upon initial release so the shirt wasn't on it longer than from factory to my house). Never had any staining on this particular Hogan, but have seen terrible staining with the black and white one.

The red and black Storm Hogan was worse literally all were stained Ringside had a disclaimer stating all were stained. Sure enough they were right lol.

That's the one I meant. Definitely not what I said, though.

Haven't tried the lacquer thinner method on Hogan but i will give it a shot. Honestly I don't know if it will work in this case. With the Rick Rude i can see it working as the stains are somewhat new and fresh. In the case of the Storm Hogan those are old well settled stains that have probably penetrated the plastic to the core. But its worth a try I work at a body shop so lacquer thinner is everywhere I'll bring some home tomorrow and try it.

So after spending $40 on a chase Rude, you have to spend another $9 on some chemical to clean stains off it - all because they couldn't package it properly.

I'm miffed that we've spent $40 on chase Rude that's all stained up. I'm more miffed that my Walmart doesn't have Klean Strip and my Home Depot only has this (for $23): And I also have to buy that testors spray

Just out of curiosity - and maybe this is a stupid suggestion - but has anyone tried magic eraser to get rid of stains? Would that work as an alternative to the lacquer thinner?

I had a little bit on my The tights. It is what it is. I just took the robe off and stored it in my bin and will keep it off

Right bicep, both elbows, both upper thighs, and a tiny bit on the right lower calf. Both boots were spared the staining, so thats a plus i suppose. Lol. I'm glad this thread exists though. If i weren't tipped off to this problem, i would have been substantially more upset. I may look into some of these tips on removal, but i dont have any of the suggested items laying around and I'm not sure i want to sink any more money into this one figure after dropping 40 plus shipping on it already. This may have been answered already, but I've been out of the loop working overtime lately, does anyone know if the regular Rude figure has been suffering the same fate?

My ultimate warrior trunks have staining over the writing, I wonder if that’s from the coat I’ve left on?

My Rude has staining all over it. Tried the method with the exact brand Axe mentioned with no luck at all.
However latest run on a pair of Steamboat arms showed me that the stains arent that deep. A couple swipes on low with a dremel, 2000 grit sand paper to smooth and brush on some lacquer thinner and shine it with model masters semi-gloss and the stain isnt noticable. I'm just not sure if I'm feeling ballsy with my chase Rude

Don't have Rude, but about a year ago I bought some custom shirts from a guy and just around March or so I was organizing my figures and noticed they had all stained. My UE, mullet Eddie's, and DX were all stained badly. I looked online and did research and found this www.twinpines.com/remove-zitI tired it and it is working. It takes time, but the stains do come off. They also recommend using another product after the stains are removed. I found that once I have cleaned them off the plastic feels rough. The formula 9-1-1is suppose to help with that. Some people say that the product is repackaged Oxy, but I don't know tried it on a pimple and didn't go away lol.
