I originally noticed the black fabric staining on the Rick Rude chase promotional photos on RSC and was hoping it was a fluke. Received mine today and there are fairly dark black stains where the plastic bubble, figure and robe all met. Anyone else have this problem? Any known fixes?

Someone on another thread suggested trying this:
I already ordered the stuff from Amazon. It'll be here tomorrow and Rude on Monday. Gonna try it out.

I confirm that it works. I did it with a yokozuna. The difference for me is that i put the figure under the sun, did not use a hairdryer.

As I said before that oxy cream really does work. But it takes awhile. I have had better luck with a hair dryer than sunlight. My Rude chase has some vicious stains on his legs and everywhere else. Gonna start the process sometime this week.

I put some cream on the figure (where the stains were) and then placed the figure under the sun for several hours. Then i removed the cream to put some new one the day after and under the sun again. And so on until it worked. Maybe there is an easier way to do it but i am happy with the result. Stains were really inside the plastic, it was from Yokozuna's robe (i kept the figure MOC for years before opening it)

You know, I have the earlier Legends series Elite Rick Rude, and he has the same robe. I haven't noticed the issue yet. I normally keep the robe on display for him. Does anyone know what causes the stain, is it just longterm contact?

As much as i prefer soft goods with my figures I think Mattel should try packaging the figures with the cloth accessories to the side to avoid these issues.

What’s the point of having a soft goods anything if it’s just gonna stain the figure? I have a lot of Legends, and only ones I’ve noticed stains on were King King Bundy, Rick Flair, Rick martell. And those are the ones I kept MOC for a long time. So, idk if it would make a difference if they came seperate then put on the figure loose or Not, so far out of around 230 loose legends figures, I haven’t noticed many stained figures besides the ones I kept MOC for over a year

Ill never believe anything gets stains out until I actually see someone post proof. More then once Ive seen people say "its works Ive done it" but yet nobody ever shows proof.

Carona and Myers should experiment with some stained figures and see if any process works for Major WF Pod.

Don t remember exactly but i remember it was several days. I thought it worked with the UV from the sun, but if it s only the heat maybe it s a lot faster with the hairdryer.
