AEW DYNAMITE Wednesday, May 27, 2020 on TNT Jacksonville, FL | Daily's Place
Following a video package showcasing the highlights of this past Saturday’s Double or Nothing, AEW Dynamite kicked off immediately with the soon-to-be-familiar soundbite asking “Who can stop the path of Cage?”, prompting the entrance of Taz and his new client Brian Cage. They were all business as Cage’s imposing figure cast a shadow on recent AEW Dark stalwart Tony Donati who was in the ring for the first match of the night…
1. Brian Cage (w/ Taz) def. Tony Donati - This was all Cage, who rushed Donati with a vicious lariat. A few suplexes and powerbombs later, Taz instructed his client to finish the match. One Weapon X later, Donati would have to be scraped off the mat as Cage scored the pinfall.
After the match, Taz grabbed a microphone at ringside and had a message to deliver to AEW World Champion Jon Moxley. After winning the Casino Ladder Match at Double or Nothing, Brian Cage has earned himself a shot at Moxley’s title at this year’s Fyter Fest, and there is no way Cage is walking out a loser. Taz claims there’s no one in the AEW locker room - scratch that… the world over - that will be able to stop the path of Cage. “No one will survive.” finished Taz as Cage motioned for a title belt around his waist.
Outside of Daily’s Place, Alex Marvez stands by as Chris Jericho and the Inner Circle drive up to the amphitheatre in golf carts. Jericho nearly runs Marvez over before stopping for the interview. On behalf of the Inner Circle, Jericho is pissed off and claims the group was robbed of a victory in the Stadium Stampede because of “the con-spy-racy” against them and he wants answers! Tonight… they are taking over TIAA Bank Field!
2. The Young Bucks def. Jungle Boy & Marko Stunt of the Jurassic Express (w/ Luchasaurus) - The Young Bucks were back in action on Dynamite and they came to show why they claim to be the best tag team in the world. In their way stood Jungle Boy and Marko Stunt, who showed that they can hang with the Bucks in this fast-paced all-action affair. While Stunt and Jungle Boy gave it their all, Matt and Nick Jackson walked away victorious with More Bang for Your Buck.
3. Big Swole def. Penelope Ford (w/ Kip Sabian) - Both competitors looked to establish their place in the AEW Women’s division rankings now that Hikaru Shida sits on top of the division after dethroning Nyla Rose last Saturday. Even with Kip Sabian by her side, Penelope Ford came up just short in this back-and-forth match, with Swole picking up the win with the Blue Thunder Bomb.
Before she could really celebrate her win, Big Swole’s time was cut off by the arrival of Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. who walked out on stage with her leg in a brace. After jawjacking with Swole, Baker asked for Tony Schiavone to join her in the ring for her big announcement. With her friend by her side, Baker announced that she considered retirement because of her injury and she blames Kris Statlander, Hikaru Shida, and Nyla Rose for ending her career prematurely. Tony looked perplexed at the decision and asked her to reconsider. “You’re right Tony… I am too good to just retire like this. I will come back. I will be the role model you all need.” added Baker with a grin, knowing she just played Schiavone and all of the AEW faithful around the world. This is Dr. Britt’s world and we’re all just living in it.
4. Colt Cabana def. Alex Reynolds, Austin Gunn, Billy Gunn, Christopher Daniels, Dustin Rhodes, Frankie Kazarian, Jimmy Havoc, Joey Janela, John Silver, Kip Sabian, Lance Archer, Luchasaurus, Michael Nakazawa, MJF, Mr. Brodie Lee, Orange Cassidy, QT Marshall, Scorpio Sky, Sonny Kiss, and Wardlow in a Battle Royal for a shot at the AEW TNT Championship next week - A star-studded battle royal showcased some of the best of the All Elite Wrestling roster as factions and stories intertwined in this one. With the Dark Order by his side, Mr. Brodie Lee looked as unstoppable as Lance Archer in the ring, laying waste to the rest of the field. Their time in the match, however, was cut short as Wardlow eliminated them both in a tussle between the three. SCU worked together to rid Wardlow, leaving MJF all alone to face the wrath of Luchasaurus. As the field dwindled down, Orange Cassidy got a big elimination when he held the ropes down that led to Luchasaurus going up-and-over. Bodies flew out of the ring and it came down to Colt Cabana, Jimmy Havoc, Kip Sabian, and Orange Cassidy. Havoc and Sabian made quick work of Cassidy but Cabana fought back from their two-on-one assault and eliminated both to show that he’s not just a funny guy, he’s also a very serious professional wrestler!
Colt Cabana had done it! As Cabana celebrated in the ring with referee Bryce Remsburg, Cody’s theme music blared around Daily’s Place and the AEW TNT Champion struted to the ring in a suit with the championship around his waist. Cody congratulated Colt on the win and demanded that the challenger bring his best next week - because Cody promises to be a fighting champion.
The Inner Circle has taken over TIAA Bank Field when Chris Jericho stands in the middle of the stadium with a scowl on his face. Jericho recapped the Stadium Stampede match and the vicious actions that took years off all of their lives before he touted that The Elite were cheaters because they brought a horse to a football fight! Sammy Guevara, wearing a back and neck brace, piped in and claimed that he wants AEW to show the footage of the horse biting him! “He has rabies!” yelled Jericho. “The Painmaker” promised that he and the Inner Circle will never leave until the decision was reversed. As Santana, Ortiz, and Hager grabbed chairs and sat down, “Broken” Matt Hardy appeared at the top of the stands and pointed down to the Inner Circle. “No, it is not The Wall, but it is I DAMASCUS and I will not stand for a reversal of deeecisions.” started Matt, who then claimed Sammy crashing and burning was simply “or-gah-smic”. But enough was enough as the former World champions traded barbs, they must clash to determine who is the “best evah!”. Chris Jericho has one week to answer the challenge brought forward by “His Broken Brilliance”: All DELETE Wrestling! Will Jericho accept the challenge?
5. Nyla Rose def. Anna Jay - After losing the AEW Women’s World Championship to Hikaru Shida this past Saturday, “The Native Beast” was on a rampage in hopes of regaining her spot at the top of the division. “The Star of the Show” Anna Jay started off hot but Rose was too much to handle and quickly put things away.
A video package was shown highlighting the vicious AEW World Championship match at Double or Nothing, followed by a promo by champion Jon Moxley. With the title back in his grasp, Moxley promises to bring the fight to anybody who wants to step up and try to take it away from him. He doesn’t care how big you are, all challengers will fall victim to the Paradigm Shift. “As for Cage, forget who can stop the path of Cage, we all need to worry about the rage of Moxley.” finished the champ before walking off set.
After his embarrassment at Double or Nothing, Shawn Spears came down to the ring to voice his displeasure with Dustin Rhodes’ actions this past Saturday night. “The Chairman” is unhappy that Tony Khan allowed such a grotesque act to be televised and he demands a rematch with “The Natural” right now! Spears waited in silence as the cameras cut to backstage where The Butcher & The Blade were shown throwing Rhodes and QT Marshall into the lockers. Butcher & Blade continued to beat the living crap out of The Natural Nightmares as Spears cackled in the ring before sarcastically making the challenge once again. Silence loomed on air until three words started playing loudly: CHRIS IS AWESOME. The wrestlers around ringside popped as Chris Hero walked out on stage and came down to the ring to stare down “The Chairman”. Spears shook his head and extended his hand, but “The Knockout Artist” had none of it and knocked Shawn out with a Rolling Elbow to the jaw. Chris Hero is #AllElite! 6. Best Friends def. Hangman Page & Kenny Omega to win the AEW World Tag Team Championship - The stakes were high in the main event of the evening as Best Friends captured the AEW World Tag Team Championships against The Elite’s Page and Omega. The competition was tough, with both teams working well together as tag team wrestling was on full display. Omega nearly had the match won early after hitting the V-Trigger on Chuck but Trent pulled his partner outside the ring to let him recover. After Chuck and Trent beat down Kenny, a Hangman hot tag looked to put things away but a mistimed springboard attack led to a “Cleaner” knee to strike Page right in the face, bloodying his nose. The team cracked from there as Best Friends amped up and swayed momentum their way for the rest of the match, leading to a Chuck Taylor Awful Waffle to Hangman for the one-two-three! Best Friends did it! Referee Aubrey Edwards handed them the gold and Chuck and Trent were joined in the ring by Orange Cassidy, who actually had a smile on his face even with his hands in his pockets. Celebrating with a hug, the Best Friends stood tall as Hangman Page was attended to by the ringside doctor as Kenny Omega left the entrance area in frustration. Even though they worked together in the Stadium Stampede, the cracks in The Elite have only gotten deeper.

Welcome back. I think it's better to try an AEW again now that we have more of a basis of what to expect from the company. Hopefully it lasts and the stories are there. The style is incredibly easy to write, nice and basic in a good way. I'm not a big fan of the gigantic borders on the layout, though the GIFs are a good unique direction to go with in order to really set the tone for the show. I wouldn't have opened with Brian Cage in a squash match, as much as I understand you wanting to get over the legitimacy of a new top guy. I liked the authentic touches you jotted in throughout about what would be an average Daily's Place-ran show in the midst of the closed arena - namely the Inner Circle segments with golf carts and the stadium. Britt Baker's promo was well-written considering her situation, and I'm hoping in her absence we can see you start building up strong women oppositions for Hikaru Shida. I would have featured Shida on the show in some form, being the new AEW Women's World Champion and all. I'm split on my feelings for Colt Cabana of all participants winning the battle royal, though I'm hopeful this is merely something that will lead to Cody's next big feud whatever that may be. I believe Chris Hero's a signee that AEW would go for, although I'm hoping that while still in lockdown we don't see too many of these new signings just yet. I assume we have Marty Scurll hinted at coming in as well. Lastly, Best Friends winning the AEW World Tag Team Championships I would be all for, I've always been big fans of theirs. That said, Hangman Page and Kenny Omega feel as though they've barely held them, due to the lockdown. I feel like it's very premature, as hot as a show-closing segment it might be for the post-Double or Nothing Dynamite. I hope we don't dive head-first into the dissension and split of Hangman and Kenny, and continue moving at a snail's pace for the time being - that said, we don't know what'll happen on tonight's show in real life.
Not a bad start, you have all of the tools to make this a classic if you can keep it up.

AEW DYNAMITE - PREVIEW Wednesday, June 3, 2020 on TNT Jacksonville, FL | Daily's Place AEW Dynamite returns to Daily's Place in Jacksonville for another action-packed night of action on TNT. Looking to cement his place as the face of TNT, "The American Nightmare" Cody defends the AEW TNT Championship against last week's battle royal winner Colt Cabana. Cabana promises to show that he is more than a fun-loving guy in this battle between two former NWA Worlds Heavyweight champions.
"Broken" Matt Hardy has been a constant thorn in the side of "Le Champion" Chris Jericho ever since Hardy - and his alter ego, the 3,000 year old Damascus - first arrived in AEW. While trying to hold TIAA Bank Field hostage last week looking to reverse the decision of the Stadium Stampede match, Chris Jericho was once interrupted by Hardy - who invited the former AEW World Champion to come to the Hardy Compound for a very special ALL DELETE WRESTLING. Will Jericho accept the challenge made by the "Broken" psychopath? What version of Matt Hardy will show up to Jacksonville when he goes one-on-one with Kip Sabian.
The Young Bucks are back and are ready to prove that they are the best tag team in the world. The first challengers to that claim? Former AEW World Tag Team Champions SCU! Who will prevail in this tag team extravaganza?
Last week, Chris Hero arrived to AEW and knocked out Shawn Spears with a devastating Rolling Elbow. "The Knockout Artist" went directly to Tony Khan after the show and requested to make his AEW debut as soon as possible. Tully Blanchard was quick to call Khan after the show to voice his displeasure of the embarrassment of his client. One plus one equals two, and we have a very special singles match in Jacksonville pitting Hero and Spears in competition. All this plus much more, this Wednesday, June 3, 2020, only on AEW Dynamite on TNT!

AEW DYNAMITE Wednesday, June 3, 2020 on TNT Jacksonville, FL | Daily's Place in memory of Danny Havoc AEW Dynamite kicked off with a video package highlighting last week’s epic main event where Best Friends defeated Kenny Omega and Hangman Page to become the new AEW World Tag Team Champions! Unreleased footage was aired of The Elite’s locker room post-match last week, where Hangman Page confronted Omega for the errant knee in the face. Even though it looked like a scuffle were to ensue, Page dropped the frustration and offered his partner a glass of milk as he also grabbed a beer. The former champions decided to put this in the past and try their hand at regaining the titles in the future. A cheers of milk and beer later, the cameras cut to Daily’s Place for an extravagant display of pyrotechnics as Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, and Jim Ross introduced the show. 1. The Young Bucks def. SCU - A hot start to the show as The Young Bucks and SCU went all out to try and prove tag team dominance. Matt and Nick Jackson demonstrated that they are simply on another level after their big showdown on BTE 200, but Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky were not going to go down easily. The former AEW World Tag Team Champions nearly had it in a few moments in the match, but the Bucks fought back and put Kazarian away with More Bang for Your Buck to get this fast-paced victory.
Outside of Daily’s Place, Alex Marvez was joined by the arriving AEW World Champion Jon Moxley. Moxley quipped that he is feeling ready for the gargantuan challenge of Brian Cage for Fyter Fest but he is ready for some action right now and challenges anybody in the locker room to meet him in that ring.
2. Jon Moxley def. Luther - Moxley’s challenge was answered by “The Original Death Dealer” Luther, but the Deathmatch legend quickly fell to the warpath of the AEW World Champion. While Luther tried to introduce some plunder, it was Moxley who used a chair, a trash can and put the crazed old man through a table with a Paradigm Shift off the top rope for the win.
After the match, minions of the Dark Order swarmed the ring and toppled the Champion to the mat to beat him down. Alex Reynolds and John Silver soon ran out to join the fray as Mr. Brodie Lee calmly walked out on stage with a microphone in hand and a smile on his face. Lee stated that while Mox may have won their fight, The Dark Order will win the war. The beatdown stopped when Taz walked out on stage and introduced his client Brian Cage who rushed the ring and clotheslined minion after minion. Lee instructed his goons to exit as Moxley struggled to his feet and came face-to-face with Cage, who grinned and left alongside Taz to leave Mox all alone.
The Inner Circle entered the “ShopAEW Zone” backstage lugging boxes with them. Jericho is still on a crusade to have the result of the Stadium Stampede match reversed to crown The Inner Circle the proper winners! Santana and Ortiz introduced the new “Real Stadium Stampede Winners” t-shirt, available now! Guevara tried to throw on to the camera but missed due to his injuries, the shirt landing on the face of one Orange Cassidy passing by, who retaliated by giving them the laziest middle finger salute in history.
3. Chris Hero def. Shawn Spears (w. Tully Blanchard) - With Tully Blanchard by his side, “The Chairman” Shawn Spears looked for revenge for getting knocked out last week on Dynamite, but Chris Hero isn’t to be messed with. “The Wrestling Genius” showcased his ring intelligence and proved his amazing ring abilities in this back-and-forth contest. The end marked the second week in a row that Hero knocked Spears the hell out, once again with a Rolling Elbow for the one-two-three.
A video package is shown on the subject of Darby Allin. Darby’s body was left mangled in the Casino Ladder Match but this is not the worst he’s ever been. Allin promised that he is coming back to AEW next week and will stop at nothing to prove that he is relentless!
4. Hikaru Shida & Kris Statlander def. Christi Jaynes & KiLynn King - After successfully toppling Nyla Rose to become the AEW Women’s World Champion, Hikaru Shida returned to action on Dynamite teaming with her friend Kris Statlander. Recent Dark stalwarts Jaynes and King tried their hand at toppling the faces of the women’s division, but Shida and Stat proved too mighty when Shida did the deal and put King away with the Falcon Arrow.
5. Matt Hardy def. Kip Sabian (w. Penelope Ford) - Hardy threw it back to the 90’s as he arrived in his Team Xtreme gear to battle “Superbad” Kip Sabian. Sabian fought hard against the veteran and gave himself a nice showcase against “The Broken One”, but Hardy was not going to lay down and let the next generation beat him. After a slap from Penelope, Hardy called upon Damascus and finished the match with two Twist of Fates following by a beautiful Moonsault for the win.
As Hardy growled in the ring, Chris Jericho entered Daily’s Place in a giant truck with a big Inner Circle logo on the hood, driving it right into a guardrail to cause a scene. Jericho exited the truck and climbed up on the roof to address his foe. “Shut your ass, Dumbasskiss!” started Jericho as the rest of the Inner Circle cheered him on from the cab of the truck. Jericho was upset that Hardy tried to ice his guys at Double or Nothing and that NEO-1 must die just like Vanguard 1! Hardy motioned for Jericho to join him in the ring but “Le Champion” refused on the account that Hardy smells like “kangaroo piss.” But Jericho acknowledged the All Delete Wrestling challenge, but he accepts on three conditions: 1. Matt Hardy must shower!, 2. The Elite must not interfere, and 3. When Jericho wins, The Inner Circle must be recognized as the true winners of the Stadium Stampede Match!... as the conditions settled, Hardy laughed and accepted as NEO-1 zoomed in over the truck and sprayed The Inner Circle with water!
6. Cody def. Colt Cabana to retain the AEW TNT Championship - Earning this title shot after winning the big battle royal last week, Colt Cabana walked into Daily’s Place with one mission on his mind: to show why he’s one of the most underrated wrestlers in the world and to win the TNT championship. Cody proved to be a defending champion as the two clashed in a back-and-forth athletic match. The two former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champions shared control of the encounter but Cabana came up just short when Cody his the Cross Rhodes for the win.
After the match, Cody reached out and shook his opponent’s hand and thanked him for the hard-fought match. “The American Nightmare” invited Tony Schiavone to join him in the squared circle as he had a few things to say. Cody threw up four fingers and mentioned that he was the fourth person called by Tony Khan to join AEW, but he proved tonight that he will always be #1 on TNT. Cody added that he will be a fighting champion and will put wrestling on TNT back on the map going forward, claiming to be the flag bearer of the network… and going forward he will defend his championship every week in an open challenge to anybody around the world to prove his point. Who will accept Cody’s first open challenge? Find out next week on AEW Dynamite, only on TNT!

You can truly admire how much work AEW puts out for Dark. I will say, I haven’t been a fan of the need of up to 9 matches on a YouTube B-show like AEW Dark but at least can accept the need for it, when Dynamite can only muster up so much in a two-hour timespan. With that said, I feel like Dark was a little star-studded, even for Dark. With his participation on Dynamite, I don’t think it needed Hangman Page at all. I would have probably combined the Dark Order’s two matches too. I’m hoping that Lance Archer emerges in storylines soon enough, it feels like a major fall from grace with the lack of his presence coming off of a Double or Nothing main event.
Moving onto your second edition of Dynamite, it all felt like your basic show. Has the power rankings been done away with? We are seeing Young Bucks elevated, one would assume to being the Best Friends’ upcoming challengers. I liked the creativity behind Jon Moxley’s match against the lunatic that is Luther, and you have the option of factoring Moxley and Brian Cage as unlikely allies against the Dark Order. I wouldn’t go the route of having the two World Championship contenders teaming up though - that feels too WWE, even for WWE. Not to mention, we have that already with Hangman Page and Kenny Omega. Chris Hero picking up a credible win over Shawn Spears was to be expected, but I would hope you have some plans for Spears and am curious what Hero’s direction specifically will be. I see a shot at the AEW TNT Championship in his near future. I think a match with Matt Hardy would do Kip Sabian’s seasoning some serious favours, and appreciate the feud with Chris Jericho. Cody defeating Colt Cabana in his first defense was to be expected. Overall, I feel like the show was missing a very important ingredient. Did it set up next week? Partly, yes. There was only two angles, and a major lack of follow-up from last week. It absolutely needed something involving Hangman and Page, and would have definitely featured a Best Friends celebratory interview after their AEW World Tag Team Championship. Further, I think the show lacked that one show-long hook that would keep your viewership figures. Next week looks inviting, although Kenny Omega facing MJF feels like a television match that should have had some build-up first.
The writing is great, the format is great, the graphics are all right. I’m just hoping you have goals for where you are heading with things. Similarly, with the unfortunate timing of FTR’s arrival last week, and wisely avoiding the Chris Jericho and Mike Tyson route, I wonder where your directions are headed. When is Fyter Fest? How might you handle the easing of the lockdown, allowing you to branch away from Daly’s Place? A lot of questions to consider, I’ll be reading.

EVERYTHING ELITE All Elite Wrestling News Roundup June 8, 2020
- A few details on Chris Hero's signing were revealed this week online. Hero is signed to be a player-coach and he will also agent some matches. Hero's incredible wrestling knowledge is considered an asset by AEW management.
- A date is announced for this year's Fyter Fest. Originally scheduled to be the AEW debut in the UK, the show will take place in Daily's Place on July 8th live on TNT. There is some hope going around the office that this will be one of the last shows taped without a crowd due to the COVID-19 situation.
- It was another strong week for wrestling on Wednesday nights as the viewership increased for both NXT and AEW. AEW scored 834,000 viewers (0.30 in the 18-49 demo), whereas NXT trailed at 732,000 (an astonishing 0.13 in the 18-49 demo).
- In AEW-adjacent news, Jeff Hardy has requested his release from the WWE after doing an angle where he hit Elias with a car and was arrested for a DUI. Hardy has a history of addiction and has been arrested multiple times for driving under the influence, but has stated on record that he is working on getting his life back together after his last DWI incident back in October. UPDATE: WWE has granted Hardy's request and wishes him the best in his future endeavours.
BEING THE ELITE ROUND-UP
This week's BTE's main storyline involved The Young Bucks seeing flashes of Marty Scurll everytime they looked in a mirror - a spoof on when Hulk Hogan saw The Ultimate Warrior in the mirror back in WCW. This is a follow-up to last week where The Bucks were sent a stopwatch and an umbrella in the mail. As for the rest of The Elite, Kenny Omega and Hangman Page worked out their differences over a hotel room dinner after losing the AEW World Tag Team Championships to Best Friends. Page and Omega agreed to continue to try the tag team thing and want to win the titles back.
"Broken" Matt Hardy's industry term of the week was "blow off". "The final match in a feud." Hardy promised that All Delete Wrestling will be his blow off match with Chris Jericho. Hardy promised a tour of the Hardy Compound as he prepares for ADW.
The Hybrid2 of Jack Evans and Angelico gave a non-sensical promo detailing their lives, conspiracies, and aliens. TH2 have found the "secret fuel for success" and promise to climb the tag team mountain when they return to AEW.
Following up on their recent feud on AEW Dark, Brandon Cutler and "The Librarian" Peter Avalon continued their war of words on who will be the first to get a win in All Elite Wrestling. As they traded barbs back and forth, QT Marshall interrupted and informed them that they will be teaming this week on Dark. Maybe they can get their first win together?
THIS WEEK ON "ROAD TO..."
This week's Road to Dynamite started with Tony Schiavone sitting down with Cody to discuss his plans as AEW TNT Champion. Cody goes into further detail after his promo on Dynamite next week and promises to be a fighting champion. He invites anybody from around the globe to come to "the greatest network on television" and try to take the title away from him. Cody will stop at nothing to prove that the TNT title is just as important as the AEW World Championship.
Brian Cage and Taz are ready to wreak havoc on the AEW locker room. Taz mentioned that his client is a machine that can't be stopped, but they both agree that they want Jon Moxley at 100% for the AEW World Championship match at Fyter Fest. While Cage is a bad dude, he's not willing to let anybody else do his dirty work for him. The Dark Order got in their way last week on Dynamite and must suffer because of it. Taz wants Moxley to put his differences aside to take care of their common enemy before focusing on each other. "We will not let the Dark Order survive."
Rey Fenix of the Death Triangle went over his injury that prevented him from competing in the Casino Ladder Match at Double or Nothing. Fenix claims he was robbed of the opportunity at a future AEW World Championship match. He is not happy that Joey Janela took his spot and promises to show Janela that he's not on Fenix's level this Wednesday on Dynamite.
Tully Blanchard read the riot act on "The Chairman" Shawn Spears for being embarrassed two weeks in a row by "The Wrestling Genius" Chris Hero. He challenged Spears to reach deep inside himself, dig something out of his heart and think about the legacy he wants to leave. Blanchard promised that his legacy will not be tarnished by Spears' losing ways and he will drop him as a client if he doesn't get his act together.
MJF closed out this week's edition of Road To with a scathing promo on Kenny Omega. MJF is the current number one contender and has never been pinned or submitted in an AEW ring. Claiming he is better than everybody in the AEW locker room, "The Salt of the Earth" promised to put away "The Dweebs' Favourite" to show that he is truly THE GUY in the company... even when injured. MJF promised to beat Kenny despite a broken finger caused by Jungle Boy because he is "better than you, and you know it".

AEW DYNAMITE - PREVIEW Wednesday, June 10, 2020 on TNT Jacksonville, FL | Daily's Place AEW Dynamite is back in Daily's Place for another week of exciting action on TNT. The main event of the evening has some title contention implications as the #1 ranked MJF battles the #4 ranked Kenny Omega. Will "The Salt of the Earth" earn another huge victory in his young career, or will "The Cleaner" be the first to hand MJF a pinfall or submission loss? As for the AEW World Champion Jon Moxley, he will be keeping a close eye when Brian Cage takes on The Dark Order's Alex Reynolds. Will Moxley and Cage need to see eye to eye to rid of a common enemy?
Cody successfully retained the AEW TNT Championship last week in a highly praised bout with Colt "Boom Boom" Cabana. After the match, "The American Nightmare" declared that he will defend the title every week in an open challenge. Who will step up to do battle and try to pry the TNT Championship from Cody's hands?
The Young Bucks are back and are on a roll! Matt and Nick Jackson have been unstoppable since returning to in-ring action. The SuperBad Squad of Jimmy Havoc and Kip Sabian, however, want to take them down a step in what will surely be a fast-paced tag team affair.
Also on the card, the AEW Women's World Champion Hikaru Shida is back in action as she takes on Dani Jordyn. Jordyn has been impressive on AEW Dark recently and a win over the champion will do huge favours for her young career. Meanwhile, Rey Fenix returns from injury as he battles Joey Janela - the man who replaced him in the Casino Ladder Match at Double or Nothing. Will Fenix get his revenge or will Janela have the proto-vision to get the victory? All this plus much more, this Wednesday, June 10, 2020, only on AEW Dynamite on TNT! Match Card Kenny Omega vs. MJF AEW TNT Championship - Cody (c) vs. ?? The Young Bucks vs. The SuperBad Squad Rey Fenix vs. Joey Janela Brian Cage vs. Alex Reynolds Hikaru Shida vs. Dani Jordyn

AEW DYNAMITE Wednesday, June 10, 2020 on TNT Jacksonville, FL | Daily's Place All Elite Wrestling is back in the Daily’s Place for another action-packed edition of AEW Dynamite! The opening video package is played followed by a thunderous pyrotechnic display. Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, and “Good Ol’” Jim Ross are on the call tonight and they throw it right to the ring. 1. The Young Bucks def. The SuperBad Squad (w. Penelope Ford) - Ever since returning to AEW action after being on lockdown, The Young Bucks have been on a roll and continued their momentum when they worked like a well-oiled machine against the duo of Jimmy Havoc and Kip Sabian. Even though The SuperBad Squad tried their all, it just wasn’t enough when Havoc fell victim to the Meltzer Driver.
As Matt and Nick Jackson rose to their feet, the video wall on the stage shut off as The Young Bucks and the world were left confused. A quick second later, a villainous laugh blasted over the speakers as familiar entrance music started playing in Daily’s Place. “The Villain” Marty Scurll walked out on stage holding his trademark umbrella as The Bucks questioned why he was there. Scurll took off his mask and waved to his former friends… as Brody King and Flip Gordon rushed the ring from the back and blindsided the members of The Elite. King flattened both of them with huge Gonzo Bombs followed by a Flip 450 Splash as Marty climbed into the ring with a smile. He grabbed a microphone and had one message for his fallen friends: “You shouldn’t have forgotten about me.” Villain Enterprises have arrived in AEW!
Backstage in the medical room, MJF sat on top of the examination table next to Dr. Sampson. “The Salt of the Earth” claimed that he tweaked his knee earlier in the day and that it has been bothering him ever since. The doctor asked to see the injury but MJF refused because of the cameras in the room. Dr. Sampson barred the cameramen from the room but the audio carried over from outside the door with MJF’s statement of thinking he could not compete against Kenny Omega later tonight.
2. Hikaru Shida def. Dani Jordyn - Dani Jordyn has been making a name for herself recently on AEW Dark, but she fell short to the AEW Women’s World Champion tonight in Daily’s Place. Shida demonstrated that she is on another level since becoming champion, putting an exclamation point on her win by doing to the deal and hitting the Falcon Arrow.
Chris Jericho provided a video update from his hot tub outside his home. Jericho, with a little bit of the bubbly, by his side, said he hopes Matt Hardy is training hard for All Delete Wrestling because Jericho is in the prime of his life, baybay. “Le Champion” promised to put an end to “The Broken One” and The Inner Circle will be rightfully called the winners of the Stadium Stampede, man!
3. Rey Fenix def. Joey Janela - Rey Fenix returned to action with a fire lit inside him as he faced the man who replaced him in the Casino Ladder Match. Joey Janela arrived to show his worth in AEW, but The Death Triangle’s Fenix had one mission in mind for the night: to win. Janela tried his best, but Fenix walked out the victor with the Fenix Driver.
AEW’s backstage correspondent Alex Marvez stood outside the trainer’s room in Daily’s Place waiting for an update on MJF’s condition for tonight’s main event against Kenny Omega. Marvez had nothing as of yet but promised to keep trying to get word from Dr. Sampson.
Tully Blanchard walked down to the ring alone, without Shawn Spears, with papers in his hands. The former Four Horsemen member was here to talk business and address the AEW Tag Team division, but before he could proceed he wanted to invite the current AEW World Tag Team Champions to join him in the ring. The confused duo of Chuck Taylor and Trent casually entered the ring and Tully read them the riot act about how they carry the legacy of tag team wrestling but he finds them to be a joke and that the Best Friends do not represent tag team wrestling… “these men do”, exclaimed Tully as Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood drove into the arena in an old pickup truck. #FTR jumped the guardrail and came face-to-face with the champions. Initially feigning a handshake, Wheeler and Harwood jumped Best Friends and beat them down as Tully shouted instructions. #FTR tossed Chuck out of the ring and focused on Trent, dropping the champion with two Shatter Machines followed by a Spike Piledriver! Trent screamed in pain as Dr. Sampson ran down to the ring to check on the champion. #FTR and Tully left the ring, satisfied with their dirty work, knowing they made their mark injuring the AEW World Tag Team Champions in their AEW arrival.
4. AEW TNT Championship - Cody © (w. Arn Anderson) def. Chris Hero - Cody promised to be a defending champion and he kept his promise in tonight’s TNT Championship open challenge, answered by none other than “Wrestling Genius” Chris Hero. Hero had Cody’s number on a few occasions in the match, demonstrating his insane wrestling knowledge as he and Cody tore the house down. The TNT Champion, however, walked away victorious after he connected with a beautiful Cross Rhodes for the one-two-three.
Backstage in their locker room, Kenny Omega, Hangman Page, and The Young Bucks discussed the arrival of Villain Enterprises earlier in the night. Matt and Nick Jackson were infuriated with the return of “The Villain” Marty Scurll and they want to drive him out of their AEW as soon as possible. Omega encouraged them but refused to say much as he prepared for his match with MJF later on, meanwhile, Hangman Page didn’t say much and drank his whiskey but piped in when Kenny left the room, “I understand why he’s here. You did leave them behind.”
5. Brian Cage (w. Taz) def. Alex Reynolds (w. The Dark Order) - AEW World Champion Jon Moxley joined the commentary booth as Brian Cage destroyed Alex Reynolds of The Dark Order. Mr. Brodie Lee sat ringside and became increasingly frustrated as Cage played with Reynolds like a toy in the ring. Taz smirked at ringside when Cage connected with the Drill Claw for the easy victory.
All hell broke loose as Mr. Brodie Lee instructed his Dark Order minions to rush the ring after the match. Cage tried to fend off the attackers but the numbers game became a bit too much and then Lee joined in the beatdown… until Jon Moxley rose from the commentary desk and grabbed a steel chair and rushed the ring. He cracked a few chair shots on some of the Dark Order members as Mr. Brodie Lee retreated from the ring. Taz held Cage back in a corner as Moxley dropped Alex Reynolds with a Paradigm Shift - a message sent directly to his Fyter Fest opponent… even with their enemy of my enemy is my friend dynamic.
Before the main event could begin, MJF made his entrance limping with Wardlow by his side. MJF grimaced as he entered the ring, with Wardlow continuously checking on him. After Kenny Omega made his entrance, MJF immediately called for a time out before referee Aubrey Edwards could call for the bell and he demanded a microphone. MJF stated that his knee hurts too much to wrestle tonight, but Wardlow will take his place! “Mr. Mayhem” looked confused but started taking off his suit jacket and dress shirt to do as his boss commands.
6. Kenny Omega def. Wardlow (w. MJF) - Wardlow was not at all prepared for this match but still worked hard and brought the fight to “The Cleaner”. MJF yelled instructions from ringside and walked around the ring, sometimes seemingly forgetting to limp. As Wardlow picked up steam and nearly had Omega dead to rights, MJF jumped up and down on the stage yelling for “Mr. Mayhem” to finish things. Wardlow was distracted by MJF’s sudden healed knee, which allowed Kenny Omega to jump back up and connect with the V-Trigger to bring momentum back on his side. Omega got the win with an impressive One Winged Angel, getting the pin on the destructive Wardlow.
After the match, MJF entered the ring and clipped Omega at the knee and put the boots to “The Cleaner”. MJF was relentless, and seemingly fully healed, and instructed the hurting Wardlow to join. The two continued the beatdown until Hangman Page rushed the ring and clotheslined Wardlow over the top rope, allowing MJF enough time to leave the ring. Even with their recent problems, Hangman Page helped Omega to his feet as Dynamite came to a close.
