Part of me feels this will end with him announcing his retirement, the other part says he’ll announce he’s having one final match at Survivor Series, retiring on the exact 30th anniversary of his debut. I don’t see him wrestling another match without a proper audience - if he does have one more, I would be surprised if it happens at the PC/Full Sail.

Didn’t think it was worth making its own thread but Taker is appearing on Corey Graves’ “After The Bell” podcast tomorrow, possibly his first podcast ever? Certainly wrestling related anyway.

Well just got done watching part V and pretty much confirmed that the Boneyard match was indeed his final match and retirement, had a real nice 15 minutes or so at the end of the episode tying his career up.But he did leave the door just a little bit opened for a return.
Still think he'll have "One More Match" just to say and actual goodbye with a crowd and in front of the fans for a final time.Think if their can be some type of crowds by the time Survivor Series roles around having one more match with AJ Styles in the ring and that's it no matter how it turns out.
Really sad to see him finally riding off into the sunset as he's been apart of so many different generations of fans and eras for the company over the last 30 years and pretty much the last semi active guy when it came to working in the ring with ties to the 80's wrestling boom, the golden era of WWF and the New Generation.

He is the greatest wrestling attraction since Andre The Giant. I liked his feud with Mick Foley. The Kane storyline was great and helped bring in a new character. My only problem with his career is the handicapped match with A Train and Big Show. It should have just been one of them.

The series was great but that final episode was phenomenal (maybe pun?)
I was sure that we would get Undertaker Vs AJ at next years Mania for Undertakers final match, doing the favors to AJ. But after part 5, I believe he is done. And with that I believe he is at peace with it. Good for him. Guy is a legend and I dont think anyone is more respected in the history of pro wrestling than Mark Calloway is.
That montage at the end was definitely a tear jerker, for sure.
Thankyou Taker.

We all know he will be in a WWE ring again. Not wrestling, but he is clearly always gonna come back for special events and do his thing in the ring. A choke slam here or there to some dirty heels that the fans hate will still excite and pop the crowd to see from the Phenom that is The Undertaker!

God damn that last episode has me an emotional wreck. It was so good I might head to iTunes to download George Strait. Never thought that'd happen.

God that was emotional. What a LEGEND! This. By far, the biggest case of goosebumps I’ve ever gotten from anything in wrestling.

That last Chapter was incredible.
Truly one of, if not the greatest of all time.

The video package with the country song at the end got me. Real tear jerker. Can't believe this is really it. No words really other then he will go down as the most respected, celebrated, greatest character and entertainer in WWE history.

Did anyone catch that he never said the word "retired"? I think he knows that if he does end up coming back for another match kind of like Shawn Michaels did, he wouldn't want to go back on his word. Just pointing that out because in wrestling that seems to always be the case. Obviously he deserves to end his career however he sees fit, but it was disappointing his "last match" was not in front of any fans, and his true last match was in Saudi Arabia.

During the build up to the Boneyard match, the Undertaker warns the OC of the Unholy Trinity he was going to bring with him. It didn't occur to me that he meant the Deadman, the American Bad @$$, and Mark Calaway. I thought the Good Brothers were going to be facing Kane and Big Show.
I was 11 when the Undertaker debuted. My son is 11 right now. As much as I would love to see more matches inside and / or outside of the ring, I'm glad Taker can finally rest in peace. Maybe he could become a manager someday.

Such a great watch, all 5 episodes i was glued to the screen. So glad The Undertaker decided to open up and show his other side (real life version) like we have all wanted for many years.
I didn't know his brother had died a day before the boneyard filming, that would have been such a weird and surreal few days for him, so professional to continue with the match though.
Been watching this man since i was 5 or 6 when he was having casket matches with the likes of Yokozuna, my first real memories of being a massive fan and loving his work were his feud with Mankind in 96 and i especially loved two matches of his in 1997, first vs Bret Hart at Summerslam and the HIAC vs HBK at Badd Blood and i continued to love the majority of his work till this day.
I have seen many of the greats live at some point but for one reason or another i have never seen him wrestle live, i saw him cut a promo and make his legendary entrance on a RAW so i guess that is better than nothing. he will probably have one more match with Styles in front of fans but i think this is really the end now after that and it should be, man has done everything and for far longer than was required, he deserves to enjoy his retirement.
Words don't really do this man justice and i am not the worlds greatest speaker lol, i will end this by simply stating what we all already know, The Undertaker will go down as the most legendary character and performer in Wrestling, such a unique and iconic presentation visually and performer inside the ring.

Didn't he also just say recently in an interview, he’s gonna hang up his boots officially when he can walk out of the match and be content that that’s how he ended his career

He said if Vince is in a pinch and needs him he'll be there. That's enough to pt hopeful doubt in my mind that he's not done, the boneyard match was epic but I hoped he would wrap it up in front of a live audience at least.
AJ has name dropped him a few times since their mania match. I can see 1 more outing, live crowd, AJ vs Undertaker II, survivor series.

After seeing how good he seemed physically after training for Cena a couple years back, I feel he could do that one last time with a bit of a smaller opponent that can help him pull off some of the heavy lifting of a match. AJ seems like a logical choice.

AJ seems like a logical choice. 100% its always a risk having an older wrestler in the ring, why have they felt the need to double down and have 2 oldies go at it lately. Brothers of Destruction vs DX none of them had worked in a good while, Goldberg vs Taker Goldberg hadn't worked a match longer than 3 mins in a decade or something Saudi money bought bad decisions there. However Rusev vs Taker had a decent amount of time if I remember correctly and Taker looked great. He needs to be in there with a "young veteran" AJ Styles, Daniel Bryan, Nakamura, Sheamus, Cesaro, Rollins, Owens, it's not as if they have to scrape the barrel for talent that fit the bill. They just can't come up with a compelling storyline that isn't "look at this, we haven't done this before!"
