Nows the time for Zach to prove himself. Go somewhere else and get over and work. Same for Rusev and the Revival.

I have a feeling he will be back. He did have the Internet Championship given to him.

Zack was so over he managed to get his 1st elite figure worth a ton of money. I remember people spending a lot of money for his figure.

I wasnt watching anything at the time and came back after the pipe bomb. A friend kept telling me about Ryder and how over he was on YouTube and social media but still not on TV. Then he got his push and I really wanted to root for the guy but couldn’t. I remember really hating his facial expressions when selling hurt. I don’t think he shoulda been buried the way he did but I didn’t see him as a top tier guy at the time. He’s definitely improved since. I wish he and Curt were given more to do. I’m sure once this pandemic is over his buddy Cody will give him a job if Vince doesn’t bring him back.

The problem with a lot of those guys like Ryder, Hawkins, and others is that they were just too damn comfortable working for the WWE and collecting a pay check. If Ryder, Hawkins, Miz, Morrison and Ziggler walked into Vince's office and said, "Listen Vince, we want to be a group on TV, we know we can make you and the WWE and each other money, give us the shot, we demand it!" then Vince would have stopped, and listened. Back in the 90s, HBK, Bret, Austin, all of them would go into Vince's office and tell him things. Braun Strowman heard of that and did the same thing a few months ago and now he's being pushed as the Universal Champion. After having the Tag and IC Titles in the last few months. The guys like Ryder, Hawkins, Slater, and them only have themselves to blame. Vince loves it when wrestlers come in and show passion. Those guys were just content being where they were at and making money. You can add R Truth to that list. Another piece of dead wood!

He was told he wouldn't be pushed and he needed to get himself over. He was ahead of his time in this industry and got himself over big time. The company resented him for it and buried him on Raw. Zach Ryder is/was/always will be too good for WWE. His shirt on PWTees is one of the best selling.

I like Ryder, Im a bigger fan of Hawkins....but lets be honest..neither of those guys were going to be "super stars" or World Champions....they're solid hands and reliable. Thats really it. They're not your Hogan, Macho, Warrior guys that people act like they should be getting huge pushes and main eventing and selling out arenas....They were your Greg Valentine, Tito Santana & Mr. Perfect guys....and there's nothing wrong with that.

What happened with Zack Ryder is symbolic of how the whole grab the brass ring mentality in WWE is nonsense.

Zach could have been big if they capitalized on his popularity in 2011. I agree about Hawkins though.

If they do bring Ryder back they should have him address his release in storyline. Ryder was always well liked because he was basically a fan that the people in the crowd to relate to. Have him be emotional about losing his dream job and fighting to get it back. People could really get into that. He still probably wouldn’t get above the mid card, but it would be interesting content for the overall show.

If he's to come back and you're going to play up his release, then it has to be as a heel.

If Kofi Kingston can be World Champion, then Zack absolutely could've.
All it would've took was another push and the crowd would've been right behind him again.
Look at the pop he got at WM32... then they went and pissed it all away the next night.
I think he will be back. And who knows, Drew and Jinder made the whole "I got released and now I'm better than ever" thing work. Maybe Zack can do the same.

I honestly think WWE just didn't want him to succeed. He went out on his own and got himself over with the fans without WWE's help and I think that pissed them off. If WWE was smart about it they would have taken that and pushed him to the stars, but they didn't. That's not his fault, they were so keen on who they had on top that they were content. If Zack goes to another company and succeeds, which I'm sure he will given how popular in the Wrestling & especially figure collecting community he is, then good on him.

This is one of the big problems in WWE today. Unless someone in UPPER-upper management likes you, you aren't going anywhere. Even if you are 3x over with the fans and have really good merch sales. The only one that has really been able to break through this is Daniel Bryan. But WWE used their "one dream scenario a decade" card on him. There was nothing left for Ryder.

I see him getting hired back. Apparently WWE is hoping to bring everyone back over the summer That only pertains to the agents/producers whom were let go.

Zack Ryder has been making six figures annually for around the last twelve years. He’s appeared in multiple WrestleManias, video games, had a bunch of toys and merchandise released. If he’s not a millionaire (which is very unlikely), it would be because he is bad with money.
