I liked the comment someone posted on one of the news pieces of his death, 'there were ring announcers, and then there was Howard Finkel.' He really was a step above the rest in wrestling, and dare I say, beyond. Like many wrestlers have said today, he could make a simple house show match seem like it was the most important thing.

Really sad to hear about the Fink! R.I.P.
He was always a delight to hear announce. Definitely my favorite.

There will never be another ring announcer like him in the business. Remember that Tuxedo match he was in with Lilian Garcia?

Very sad news indeed. He was by far the best and most recognizable ring announcer in WWE. His voice will forever be in my mind when thinking of how superstars should be announced. My thoughts are with his family and friends.

Feeling so sad, hearing about the passing of Howard Finkel. I was fortunate enough of meeting him once at the World in New York back in 2002 I believe it was. When I met him,I told him that I thought he was the true icon of the wwf, because he was there since day 1.Being part of all the big shows and title changes back in the day. He asked what my name was and appreciated it and thought it was kind of me to say that. And he was just so nice. I have met several wrestlers with meet and greets, but meeting the Fink was the most special to me.Always seeing him on tv and then years later meeting him in person was just awesome. Howard,You will be sorely missed. There was only one ring announcer in wrestling and his name was "The Fink" Howard Finkel!

You can hear the passion in his voice when a champ was crowned. ''The winner of this bout and NEW!! World Wrestling Federation Champion!''
A Legend in every sense of the word. RIP Mr. Finkel

People are selling his Jakks CS and Mattel BAF for ridiculous amounts on eBay. Total disrespect for a person who just passed away.

Welp. That's another figure for my shelf.
I was gonna keep my CS Fink in storage, but NOPE, he's gonna have to come out now.
Man. 2020 can get bent.

Out of like the 10 wrestlers/personalities that I met at a convention in NY in 2013, Fink was the coolest.

Sadly it's all too common when someone big dies, not just in wrestling, of any fame. I'm just glad I was able to find the set for his figure. Saw the four only once, and I didn't hesitate to get them. Just always bugged me I never was able to find Mean Gene, and will probably never see Monsoon either.

I doubt I will ever get my hands on a Monsoon

One of the all time great ring announcers from the 80's era. He made those PPV's well worth it just the passion and love he had for his job. Doing the WrestleMania 9 Finkus Maximus, and the angle with Harvey Wippleman. My go to ring announcer in Mattel and Jakks. RIP

Just saw a picture that Bruce Prichard shared with him and Howard in a wheelchair. I was shocked and sad to see him in that condition.
