Sorry if this is lower down or on other pages, I haven't posted here in a while since I don't follow wrestling anymore, and haven't collected figures in about a decade. But to pass the boredom of the lockdown and share some stories - how long have you been a member here and how'd you find out about the forum?
I've been here since the very beginning, I was a member at the old AFR back in 2000 and 2001. In 2001, a guy I knew from AFR invited me to join a new forum, and I never thought this would really take off. Being an 11 or 12 year old kid in 6th grade at the time, getting invited to something online (keep in mind this was before spam and forums and what not were as prevalent as they are now) was sort of a big deal and you never worried about signing up for something and having your data or anything stolen. I remember how at first this website didn't really have many members, but I recognized the names from AFR so I gave it a chance. Slowly but surely the site grew and AFR shut down and this become the preeminent online forum for wrestling figures. It definitely gained some serious legitimacy when RSC bought the site (RSC is a whole other crazy thing to consider because that used to be THE place to see proto images and find out what to look for in stores. I think about found out about it in 1999 from an ad in a wrestling magazine...also they were pioneers of online shopping...seriously).
It's crazy to be posting this and see this place still exists after I've been a member for close to 20 years. It's also crazy to think how I joined here as a kid (probably technically against the TOS, which may not have even existed back then), and then this place ended up being a big part of my life in junior high and high school. I still frequented in college, and now I'm 30 and have been a lawyer for a few years. Just kind of blows my mind.
I had a similar thought when I saw Big Show come out on Raw...I met that guy when I was 9 years old in 1999 when he was already a well established wrestler, and he's still doing this! To that same effect, one of the first trades I ever did on here was with Zack Ryder way before he was a WWE superstar.
Anyhow I've started to ramble...but let's hear some stories!

I first found this place in about 2002 when I was searching for hasbros online. I was a pretty regular member til about 07 but got out of it when I was in college. I’ve been back sparingly since then but I could never remember my old login info. I recently got back on here about 6-7 months ago when I got into the Retro figs. It’s really cool to see that this place is still going strong! I love it how this form still has the same look and feel that it did 20 years ago!

I found WF in 2002 while I was into e-feds. I remember role playing for a 'promotion' called WWeF. Dude's name on AIM was BigDawg8 if I remember.
I started becoming more active in 2003, mainly in the pic fed scene. When I graduated high school and moved away for college in 2009 and 2010, I stopped frequenting the boards just because life became so hectic.
Only a few days ago I somehow recovered my old username and password, and here I am.
For someone who used this place as an escape from the world for most of my childhood, you can't imagine how happy I am to see this place still thriving.

since december 22, 2001. i believe that was 4 or 5 days after the forum first opened. if i'm not mistaken, this forum came to be because afr's server crashed or something like that?

Occasionally visited the boards for years, randomly finding my way on here every now and then. Earliest i can remember is 2009.
Found my way back here in late 2016, had a look at some of the boards, then eventually decided to make an account on Feb 19 2017.
Now it's a site i visit every day. Best parts for me are: - Fix-Up & Pic Request threads - PPV live chats - AlanPartridge's Polls - Threads that involve posting pics of your collection - The Memes of Wfigs (Truck Driver, DrWho etc...)

Knew about this place since 2009, joined a few times but I'm super dumb and lost all the accounts. I made this one in 2018, but forgot it a month later. In February of this year I guess my logins and it was the newest one.

since 2002. I was 12. 29 now.
seeing the forums throughout the times was fun. monthly mods, multi page huge fights, the Canada board being very busy with a strong community.
when I was younger on this forum I met a few people from it in real life and went to wrestling shows and music concerts with them. those were really fun times. those guys are all long gone now.
probably the coolest thing about the site is the ability to realize how much you’ve changed in time. going back years and seeing posts can make you really remember your old headspace and how you perceived things. it’s been a fun ride.

Not exactly... sort of though. It's a story that I will tell when I am not busy. I'll reply to this thread later, probably tonight, to tell it (short version).

I'm... new.
Like, really really new.
But now I wonder why I never found this place ages ago. Or, at least a few years ago. I might have realized in 2017 that there was a difference in scale between Classic Superstars and Mattel before I dropped $275 on loose figures. I have some weird things from that binge, including a loose 1/300 Mick Foley that's in less than mint condition. It's probably the most valuable figure I own, and it's loose and played with.
Who takes a 1/300 figure out of it's package to begin with? Let alone gives it to a child???
I mean, I just bought a 1/10000 Debra figure that I intend to let breathe, but at least that's coming in a trashed box and I'm just displaying it. And 1/10000 is nothing like 1/300. Just, wow.

Found the place in late 2013 joined mid 2014. I was big into wrestling from 1985-2000 but then real life took over and I became entirely disinterested in wrestling. Fast forward 13 years and I found myself looking to find an action figure line to buy for my 3 year old son at Christmas so I randomly googled “Honky tonk man action figure”. The result was a surprise to me and just pure love. I found rsc first then I found this place looking for insider info. When I realized Matteldesignteam interacted here I had to create an account to post my opinions but for years I stuck strictly to the Mattel board only. My very first display name for about 18 months was “Ruler of the world” because I wanted a Sid figure. When Sid was announced, for about 4 months I used the name “Aint I great” but settled with “The human wrecking machine” as a Zeus request for the last 4 years. I will change it again if Mattel makes me a figure of him.
It’s been fun. I’m here every day

Only about a year or so now. Been a wrestling fan since the dawn of Hulkamania. I had LJNs and Remcos as a child of the 80's. I collected baseball cards too, but never once thought there'd be a market for collecting toys. I stumbled upon the "Figure it out" WWE show a year or so ago randomly on Youtube. It was hilarious. Watched all of them. Found there were MWFP videos that weren't WWE branded. those were nearly as entertaining. Out of curiosity, checked out the forum, and was surprised at the amount of activity here. I'd been a sports/wrestling forums guy for a long time, and most of them are dying off because so much discussion is now live on Facebook/Twitter/Social Media. About that time, My favorite current wrestler (Mustafa Ali) had his first figure come out. And I ordered one. And of course, it was a chase, so there was another one I had to find. Then a basic version, ALSO a chase. Finally tracked them all down. And now there's one coming in a battle pack. So that's another figure I'll have to get. So I have a toe dipped in this ocean. I don't see me adding too much to the collection, although I have become a huge Keith Lee fan, and he's from Texas too, so I might be adding a couple to the shelf soon. Now, if my grandsons decide to become wrestling fans and want to collect some toys, then of course, I'll have to enable them....

Since I really started collecting again in 2010, I took a break from here for a couple years when I wasn’t so big into collecting figures but the last year I’ve really gotten into this place again.
