He's just busting the guy's balls. Nothing malicious or anything.
If figures is what gets him H-A-R-D, so be it. lol

Does this mean he's out of the Elite Squad? That's not a joke, btw. I mean will he still have access to news and things?

$40,000 on action figures, for that amount of money you could buy a decent car, make a down payment on a house. I love action figures there's a lot of gaps in my collection, but spending $40K, I just can't fathom that amount.

He is really regretting being ok with the Woo Woo Woo crap. No one wants to hire a cartoon character these days.

I love action figures there's a lot of gaps in my collection, but spending $40K, I just can't fathom that amount. Really though, it's not an unfathomable amount. Say a person had 1,000 Pop vinyls in their collection and ONLY spent $10 a piece on them. That's 10k already. I think most of us would find if we added up the price of every toy, movie, book, game, or whatever in our collection that we have all spent quite a lot of money. It snuck up on us because we did it incrementally though. Look at it from this point of view. Say you rented an apartment for $800 a month and you lived there for 10 years. You would have spent 96k on rent after a decade.

Making fun of someone for losing their job and spending $40k+ on figures is pathetic.
I have probably spend around $15k-$20k on figures through 4 different collections. I make between $130k-$200k a year friending on commission. I have a young family, house etc.
Ryder probably makes 4x me and will no doubt have someone managing investments etc. $40k will not hurt him like it would the rest of us. Regardless, stop making fun of someone that just had their dream broken. Sometimes you guys are so disappointing.

Zack has spent waaaaay more than 40,000 in total. He’s likely spent 100’s of thousands. If they do lay people off he’d be at the tops of the list. And yeah, he’ll wish he had some of that bread but you won’t be able to get your money back on figures because as we head into a recession, they won’t be a priority for most people. Hate to say I told you so...

$40k is a lot.
The most I spent is $35 on the first elite Goldberg in a Facebook group. I was almost positive the figure was stolen and I wasn’t sure if the figure would arrive, but it did. Grey lips and all. It was glorious.

Not as much as a few years ago, because Mattel pretty much gave up on the DC brand for the last year and a half of the license. And Marvel & Star Wars characters I like/want have been much fewer over the last two years. But the amount I have spent over the last 30-40 years I don’t want to know. Especially seeing much of in is packed away in bins with each new line. lol

For the life of me, I will never understand why people feel the need to kick someone when they are down. This should just be locked.
