Most of these wont be hitting shelves until Late Aug early September at the very earliest. The virus will be way behind us by then. I don’t think economically the country can continue to absorb the cost of shutting down. And certainly not until August. Maybe we will get to the point where we will have to protect ourselves as best we can and accept, unfortunately, that people are going to get sick and some will die. Hopefully, a vaccine will come sooner than later and things won’t get that bleak. Hopefully, Mattel won’t screw these up like they did Harley Race. Not trying to be Debbie Downer here but none of us know when this thing will end and anyone who says they know is foolish. My job depends on the NFL season starting at its usual time and my guess it's that's like a 50-50 proposition at this point, and even if they do it might be in empty stadiums or all at one quarantined location away from the rest of us. A vaccine usually takes like 12-18 months because it takes that long to prove that A. It works, and B. It won't have crazy side effects/kill us. Hard to have an economy when you don't have any people around so the first priority just has to be containing this thing. Mattel had to do its job and get us excited with reveals -- that doesn't mean we'll see them in stores in the immediate future. There's gonna be delays and there's probably going to be more changes/developments in shipping methods (look how we already were able to order all of those Decade of Domination figs from Walmart.com that were all ship to home). In the meantime, stay home, buy online and get them shipped to your home. Hey, I know of a site that does that kind of thing around here!

I hate the exclusives, not worth the effort or risk, especially now. Putting these up online would help otherwise I'm not bothering.

I hate the exclusives. Im in the UK and I simply cant afford to buy them and I desperately want them. No fun at all collecting this mattel line and sooner they lose the license the better for me.

In my own honest opinion they should do away with all store exclusive figures, they should just release everyone at every retail store that carries WWE figures, my Walmart that I frequent the most is actually up to date on elites and basic for the first time in a decade, my local target however will be stuck on the elite set 71 for a long time.

Honest question, was jakks figures a challenge to obtain? Idk how distribution was around the late RA era.

"Making things difficult?" Like Ruthlessfigs said... Only for international collectors. And I don't believe these lines have been offered to UK retailers. A pretty prominent online seller over here, said Mattel UK have never had the opportunity to purchase US exclusives.

Mattel should make wrestling figures that can dispense hand sanitizer This is a good idea. Get some old Maximum Sweat figures and fill them with hand sanitizer.

A pretty prominent online seller over here, said Mattel UK have never had the opportunity to purchase US exclusives. The title of my thread was changed. It was originally something like “is mattel trying to kill us?” Obviously it was said in jest because I want a lot of these figures, but with a global pandemic and everything going down, I’ll never have the opportunity to give mattel my money for them. Please come to America, and you’ll realize it’s not some holy grail. Sure we have target and they’re supposed to carry certain exclusives but unless you’re looking for Top Picks AJ Styles, you’ll be out of luck. It’s not easy to find anything here. Ringside is the best resource hands down.

I'll say yes. Since my Walmart hasn't stocked elites well since I stopped working there. No I didn't work in the toy dept. Ever since 2017-2018 it's gotten bad

I read that some stores are now not letting customers buy product from certain departments. If what I read is true then things are going to be really difficult. This would be complete bullshit.

No. Yeah it sucks that store exclusives figures exist, but these won’t be out until mid August early September anyways. By then Covid outbreaks have stabilized. Walmart at least has some exclusives available online.

I feel a quarter of the inventory should be online for those like us who find it harder to get it in stores.

A lot of nice reveals yesterday. But as I scroll through, it feels unlikely I’ll be able to score many of these, if any, especially with lockdowns, and people losing their jobs, and non-essential items being stocked a lot less. It was hard enough to find store exclusives and chases when we weren’t locked down. Now with all this covid bs, who is willing to risk their lives to go against lockdown orders for Pete Dunne and Hollywood Hogan? Please Mattel. I’ll launch you a Shopify site where people can safely buy figures from their homes. Just walked out of my WalMart, they had elite 75 but on Mandy Rose and the Luchador guy left. All three of my WalMarts usually have empty pegs. I’m ok cause I can get anyone from Ringside except these store exclusives. Those are what is killing collecting. Mattel could make so much more money listing exclusives online.

Not sure what the crying is about, wait out a deal on eBay that isn't too obnoxious and buy it.

Well i asked Steve a few days ago and mattel's factories are up and running.
I really think mattel should do away with all these exclusives giving the current pandemic.
The other option would be make all these walmart/Target exclusives only available to order online.
That way people are not going to stores and taking the chance of getting sick just for some wwe figures.

I wouldn't bother looking at retail even if there was no virus or lockdowns. I'll stick with ebay & ringside...

Honest question, was jakks figures a challenge to obtain? Idk how distribution was around the late RA era. There were a few figures that were tough to get. I remember I had to get Luna from Ebay, and there was a Batista that eluded me for some time. There was a Jeff Hardy I wanted that I never found. But it was nothing like this. Jakks figures would come out consistently, month after month. With Mattel, stuff shows up out of order and entire wave are skipped.
