In my opinion, as cool as it will be to see it for what it is, it's the biggest waste of time in history. Why not postpone all WWE tv until this blows over and hold Wrestlemania in the summer? Surely the money they'll lose on this and the fact it'll feel like a glorified Raw with title changes, it really just feels like an FU to all the talent and all the build up. The crowd make Wrestlemania just as much as the wrestlers. It'll just feel wrong seeing the big matches with no reaction. Utter BS in my opinion.

While I can understand why people are mad that Wrestlemania is still going on, I think holding the show in an empty performance center is better than postponing. Postponing Wrestlemania wouldn't be that great of an idea anyway because no one knows when this virus outbreak is gonna end. Also I cannot imagine how WWE would drag out the build for most of these Wrestlemania matches if it was pushed back a few months. Just imagine WWE stretching out the build to Roman vs Goldberg and Drew vs Lesnar for two more months, in empty arena shows? That would be terrible. Also if Wrestlemania was cancelled, WWE probably would have just held the Mania matches on Raw and Smackdown. Wrestlemania without a crowd will be interesting, and I hope the matches are good enough to make up for the missing crowd.

Man, imagine how edge has got to be feeling to. His first match back (one v one that is), and it’s not even going to be infront of the huge crowd of fans. Sucks for everyone really. Hey, at least NXT can best AEW in the ratings now so the AEW marks and Dave melt we can quit blowing the elite and Tony Kahn.

I know this is the standard/basic joke/comment to make but are people really ignoring how much Dave loves NXT too?

There are discussions being held regarding WWE's plans moving forward. Several topics include:
Filming enough material in one taping at the PC to broadcast multiple weeks of shows in the buildup to Wrestlemania.
Holding the TakeOver: Tampa card on the Wednesday before Wrestlemania (April 1).
Giving this year's HOF inductees time on Raw and Smackdown for their speeches over the next few weeks to fill time, though it may be difficult to get some talents to the PC.

Really hoping they reconsider and realize that this show needs fans, but I’m afraid it’s too late

This was a no win situation. I don't have a better solution either way, but an empty arena show in a 350 capacity building will not feel like Wrestlemania no matter what they do. The show is a lost cause, but it could easily be October before they're allowed to perform in front of fans again. I'd actually rather they suspended all shows until this is over because the empty arena shows are unwatchable.

That would be great but June still feels early to have fans in an arena.

I don't like this idea of having Mania in an empty Performance Center. Now I honestly see WWE going on hiatus after Mania until they're able to perform in front of fans again. This sounds far fetched, but if they want to continue with Mania, I say go on a hiatus after Mania. Use the TV time for something else

This is going to be very, very interesting. I wonder how this show is going to pan out. It does suck that McIntyre has to get his first WWE Title win in front of ZERO people. Especially seeing that he has had a lot of momentum on his side going into this match.
I am mostly surprised that Vince is actually going through with this option.(Well his hands are tied.)

Anyone else heard it's all a big ploy to get their insurance money and it'll be held at MSG in June?

I don’t remember being this pissed off at something wrestling related ever, I can’t even put it into words. Just postpone the f*cking show! Nobody knows when it will be safe to hold events of that size. Tokyo is still planning on having the Olympics, so maybe the summer?

Well, they can't "Bank on the name" this year. Well...actually...they don't have to, being that there are no fans. 2020 is going to go down as a crapyear.

From what I've heard, there's no official timetable that this virus thing will all be over. So if WWE were to rescheduled WM in June, and come June things are worse, they'd be forced to reschedule it again. And maybe even again. So by just having the event on time, they can just move on with stories and be ready to go when things do pass by.
It's not ideal, and it sucks on many levels, but it is what it is.

Yeah the situation I relayed here paints a real optimistic scenario. With NYC being one to go all-in at mitigation efforts, and with Vince's kindred spirit himself now admitting this isn't going away like a miracle and likely to stretch well into summer.

I know some of the members want WrestleMania to be postpone to June/July of this year with the fans in an arena or stadium but I understand Vince McMahon's decision on holding the showcase of the immortals in an empty WWE Performance Center. This is going to be an interesting WrestleMania in a long ass time. A bar bones WrestleMania is going to happen I have no doubt that the talent is going to entertain us via the WWE Network despite no one in the seats. # Coronavirus
