Was inspired by the mod’s anthology series so here it is...Hulkster2001’s Anthologies!! 6. Austin doesn't turn heel
5. The Mega Powers never split
4. Ultimate Warrior in 1996
3. Booker T World Champ in '03
2. Macho Man's second title reign1. Hulk Hogan returns to the WWF in 1998The WWF was in a bad place in 1997, in November they just had lost the WWF Champion to WCW and screwed him out of the WWF Championship. Vince was desperate and was looking for someone to rocket the WWF back on top, rumors have it that Hulk Hogan was in negotiation with the company to return. Unfortunately those fell through and he remained in WCW, but fortunately the WWF had decided to roll with Steve Austin as it’s top face and rocketed him to the championship and launched one of the most beloved eras of wrestling. But what if Hogan had signed back with the WWF in 1998, how would the WWF use the former champ and how would he fit in with the new attitude of the company? (Note: I had the idea to do my own series and this would’ve been the first but warriorlynx had beat me to the punch and thankfully was nice enough to even do this and have it as my first. He’ll also dump his writings here and then I’ll take over.)

WWF RAW is WAR April 20th, 1998 Hosts: Jim Ross and Michael Cole
Vince McMahon and his stooges are in the ring. They have a trophy out. Vince: Ladies and gentlemen, tonight I have this special award to give, this trophy which is long over due in the WWF. I want to bring out a man who is the greatest performer of all time. A big time movie and TV star, I'm talking about a man who main evented Wrestlemania after Wrestlemania, I'm talking about a man who is Immortal, a man who by my side helped create Sports Entertainment, that's right without this man and I none of you would be sitting out there. This is a man who dammit deserves this trophy, which is an award for the Greatest Icon in Sports Entertainment trophy. Take a look at this... A video package of Hulk Hogan is shown with him slamming Andre, facing Warrior, Macho and others. Vince: I would like to bring out the greatest role model in WWF history, a man who is a model WWF Champion, the former five-time World Wrestling Federation Champion the Immortal Hulk Hogan! Hogan makes his way out to much heat (no music). Vince: Hulk, this trophy is to honour you and to welcome you back home (hugs Hulk) Hulk: Well you know something Vince McMahon brother, I've come back to the WWF for one reason and one reason alone, and that's to take down that good for nothing Stone Cold Steve Austin. For far too long I've been watching his bald-headed redneck drinking beer, cursing, using the finger, I mean we're talking about someone who isn't a role model, who is holding that WWF Championship belt which belongs to me because face it I've held that title five times, I've held it longer than anyone backstage. Stone Cold makes his way out and in the ring. Vince: Dammit Austin, this is an important occassion, I've got the Immmortal one back in the WWF. Austin: I don't give a rats a$$ who it is or what this stupid trophy is all about but I'm out here because I got something to ask, is he the guy I'm facing this Sunday at Unforgiven? Vince: Show him the respect that he deserves dammit Austin, this is Hulk Hogan, the greatest of all time, the Muhammad Ali, the Babe Ruth of Sports Entertainment. Austin: I think you misunderstand me there son because the bottom line is do (the fans) you want me to open up a can of whoop a$$ on Hulk Hogan give me a hell ya (hell ya chant). So am I going to get that chance? Vince: As much as I want that title off of you, and (laughs) you wouldn't stand a chance against the Immortal one, the answer is no (laughs) Austin: Is this what you want Hulk? I thought you wanted the WWF title back? I thought you wanted me in the ring so be a man and ask your boss for a match. Hulk: I don't answer to you brother. Austin: O I see let me look at this trophy it's big, looks good (Hulk smiles) Austin smashes the Trophy over Hulk's head! He swings it around as Vince and the stooges run off. Austin: I want my damn opponent for Unforgiven and that's the bottom line because Stone Cold said so! Later Backstage Hulk has an ice pack. Vince says that he can't have Hulk wrestle this Sunday because Hulk has a no-compete clause. Hulk says when that clause is over, he wants Austin, championship or no championship. Steve Austin (c) def. Steve Blackman via DQ. Vince McMahon forces Dude Love to attack Austin and he does it. Vince says Austin has to go through Dude Love first.

Vince says and that special guest referee will be the Immortal Hulk Hogan. Backstage Austin is pissed off at the idea. So tonight is a celebration of a lifetime, let's all welcome the Immortal Hulk Hogan! Hogan gets out with the WWF title. Hogan: I would like to thank you Vince McMahon for this, this is a dream come true. I never thought of coming back to the WWF this way, but in my return match I win the WWF title because let's face it it's where the title should've been all along brother. All those years ago at Madison Square Garden is where it all started brother, when I first won this title and tonight this is a great occasion brother. Patterson grabs more champagne and sprays it around in celebration. Vince: You deserve it Hulk, now all these kids out here can have a hero to look up to dammit (alot of heat) dammit this is Hulk Hogan! Eat your vitamins, say your prayers dammit he deserves this more than you know! He is a true role model, a real champion, a champions champion...and so tonight as Stone Cold Steve Austin has been given a day off....(GLASS SHATTERS) Austin is on the titantron, he has a shirt called "Steve-o-mania" and is all dressed in yellow. Austin: Well that's where your wrong McMahon brother brother brother, the real Hulk Hogan is in the red and yellow brother, you have to drink your can of beer as your vitamins and preach your 3:16 for your prayers brother because tonight Stevomania will be running wild on your brother... Austin tears the shirt and takes off his bandana and wig and fake yellow stach. Austin: Who needs this crap, there is no RAW without Stone Cold so I'm on my way from the airport to open up a can of whoop a$$ and that's the bottom line because Stone Cold said so! Backstage the celebration of Hulk continues with several WWF stars talking to him including Sable who approaches Hulk and flirts with him. After the match Austin arrives to a big pop as he Stuns Funk and Dude Love! Austin gets on the mic. Austin: There is only one No. 1 contender in the WWF and that's me. I've got a rematch clause and I demand a title shot next week on RAW you sob. Vince and the Stooges are out on stage. Vince: (laughs) You may have a rematch clause Austin, but I can make that happen at any time based on the stipulations in your contract. I can make it next week, next month, or hell I can make it in fifty years. Because face it Austin there is no way you're going to be the WWF Champion...ever again. Austin runs towards Vince and knocks him down! The Stooges start fighting Austin, Austin knocks them all down till Hulk jumps Austin with a chair and throws him down the ramp for RAW to go off air.

WWF Raw Is WarMay 18, 1998Nashville Arena in Nashville, TennesseeHosts: Jim Ross and Michael ColeWe start off RAW with footage of last week where Austin was thrown off the ramp by Hogan before Mr. McMahon makes his way out with the Stooges. Vince: I gotta say, what a moment that was! I mean, finally Austin has met his match! I knew it wouldn’t take long, and by god I’m glad it was this man. Ladies and Gentlemen please give a standing ovation to the Immortal Hulk Hogan! Hogan comes out with the belt and the crowd goes nuclear Hogan: Well McMahon, ya see Hulk Hogan is more powerful than anybody on the WWF roster. And although I may not be the most popular, there’ll never ever be a bigger star than Hulk Hogan! Glass shatters and all four men are surprised, they look around for a minute but then laugh as it was all a prank. Hogan: Seriously? You thought Austin was here?! (Laughs) Common, even with all the vitamins and prayers he’d still be in a wheel chair if he really did come out! But all the sudden Dude Love’s music hits and Hogan is confused. Hogan: What the hell is that? (Points to Dude) What do you think this is the sixties? Get your hippie ass out of here or I’ll beat it out! Dude: Ow, Hulkster have mercy! Can’t the #1 contender come out and see the WWF Champion? I’m just trying to see what I’ve got here! Vince: You got the Immortal Hulk Hogan, that’s what ya got! Now show some damn respect and shut up! Hogan: Listen dude, I don’t know what the hell you are doing but just go to the back. You’re not even in my league. Dude looks a little hurt by this but walks to the ring and extends a hand to the champ. Hogan looks back at Vince and McMahon just shrugs and Hogan shakes Dude Love’s hand. But suddenly Dude locks in the mandible claw! McMahon sends out security and has Dude removed off Hogan, Dude slides out and does the Cactus “Bang, bang!” taunt as he leaves. Later on we cut to the back with Hogan and McMahon as Hulk is complaining about what happened with Dude Love. Hogan: What the hell was that? Vince: (pacing) I know, I know. That hippie sob is going to get what’s coming! Hogan: Hey, didn’t Austin want his rematch tonight? Vince: Yeah but what the-oh. (Devilish grin appears on his face) That’s what we’ll do.. WWF Championship match: Immortal Hulk Hogan (c) vs. Dude LoveDude walks out first and does the usual until Hogan runs out and attacks Dude with the belt! He whips him with it and busts him open then forces the ref to ring the bell as he drops the leg. He goes to cover him when the glass shatters and Austin appears! He walks down to the ramp and slides in and nearly avoids Hogan swinging with the belt and gets a Stunner! He climbs on top of him and starts punching til Hogan overpowers him and pushes him into the corner and delivers a couple of kicks to Austin when he is turned around and the mandible claw is locked in by Dude Love! Hogan kicks Dude in the groin before nearly getting another stunner which he reverses and slides out of the ring before grabbing his WWF Title as the show ends.

Immortal Hulk Hogan (c) (w/ Ed Leslie) vs. Kane (w/ Paul Bearer) for the WWF Championship
Hogan comes out first when suddenly he’s attacked by Mankind! The two fight as Kane comes out and the match hasn’t even started, Hogan uses his belt to even the brawl and even steps on Mankind’s hand so he won’t get in the mandible claw. Kane eventually gets the advantage and knocks the Hulkster down, he gets him and chokeslams him through the table! Glass shatters marking Austin’s arrival but he comes out with a steel chair and hits Kane with it! The match officially ends with a no contest but that doesn’t stop the men from fighting as Leslie locks in the sleeper hold on Mankind while Patterson and Brisco help Hogan get the hell out of there with Austin taking on Kane. Vince comes out and has enough of this crap and makes a tag match between Hogan and Austin vs. Kane and Mankind for Fully Loaded to end the show.

Immortal Hulk Hogan and Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Kane and Mankind (c) (w/ Paul Bearer) for the WWF Tag Team Championships The team of Hogan and Austin enters first but they enter separately while the champs enter together. Austin and Kane start off for their respective teams, Austin uses his punches to try to stun Kane but the big red machine barely feels it. Kane is dominating Austin til he misses a big boot which Austin uses to turn it to his side with a Lou Thez press. He goes to tag Hogan but Hulk drops down from the ring apron, Austin is furious and yells at him to get his a$$ back in but Hulk just stays off the apron. Kane rises up and spins Austin around and hits a chokeslam! He goes for the cover but Hogan puts Austin’s boot on the ropes, Kane points at Hogan and beckons him to come in only to get a middle finger from the Immortal one. Kane tags in Mankind and he and Austin fight it out for a while, eventually Hogan gets back on the apron. Stone Cold gets a stunner on Mankind but his pin is broken up by Kane, Mankind gets the mandible claw in but Austin rakes the eyes to get out of it, Mankind tags in Kane and Austin looks towards Hogan and they tag! The crowd pops as the Hulkster enters and delivers some rights to Kane, and whips him into the ropes but is hit by a flying clothesline. The WWF Champion is down and Kane takes his time dismantling the Immortal one, he finally gets tired of this and hits a tombstone. As the ref hits the mat for two, Hogan kicks out and starts to Hulk up! Kane hits him and gets the “YOU!” finger point before the Hulkster hits him with the three punches and the big boot, Austin enters and delivers a stunner to Mankind as Hogan hits the atomic leg drop and we have new champions! Winners and NEW WWF Tag Team Champions: Immortal Hulk Hogan and Stone Cold Steve AustinThe show ends with Austin and Hogan holding up their belts as Austin reminds him that at Summerslam, the WWF Championship will be the belt on the line.

WWF Raw Is WarAugust 3, 1998San Diego Sports Arena in San Diego, CaliforniaHosts: Jim Ross and Michael Cole We get a recap of what went down at Fully Loaded before Hogan and Vince come out. Vince: Last night we saw what I thought was impossible, Stone Cold Steve Austin and the Immortal Hulk Hogan working together. But don’t be mistaken Austin, at Summerslam you’ll once again fall to the power of the Immortal one! Hogan: Stone Cold, those tag titles are the only belts we’ll ever share! This WWF Championship is mine and mine alone. Vince: Just remember Austin. You maybe partners tonight, hell maybe even next week, but at Summerslam you’re on your own! Hogan: And you can take this belt (holds up the tag belt) and shove it! The two leave as the crowd boos. Steve Austin promo on HoganGlass shatters as the Texas Rattlesnake enters the arena, he gets on the mic and talks trash about his “partner” Immortal Hulk Hogan. Austin: The only sob who will have one of these (holds up WWF Tag Title) up their a$$ is going to Hulk Hogan. You’ve held that WWF Championship for far too damn long, this ain’t the 80’s Hogan. No one wants to eat their damm vitamins and no one gives a damn about praying for your old a$$, we’re on the highway to hell Hulk. We definitely might be partners tonight, but that don’t mean I won’t open up a can of whoop a$$ on you if I feel like it! That’s the bottom line because Stone Cold said so! Stone Cold Steve Austin and Immortal Hulk Hogan (c) vs. Owen Hart and The Rock for the WWF Tag Team Championships The champs make their way out first but separately, Owen Hart and The Rock enter with Rocky being the starting man alongside Hogan. The match is somewhat similar to their WM X8 match with it just being a tag match with Austin and Hart, the match ends with a stunner to Owen for Stone Cold and Hogan to retain. Winners and STILL WWF Tag Team Champions: Stone Cold Steve Austin and Immortal Hulk HoganAustin grabs both belts and hands one to Hogan before faking him and the crowd out with a fake stunner, Hogan is pi$$ed and promises he’ll whip his a$$ at Summerslam as he leaves the ring and walks up the stage ending RAW.

WWF Raw Is WarAugust 10, 1998Omaha Civic Auditorium in Omaha, NebraskaHosts: Jim Ross and Jerry LawlerWe get told the match card and our main event, a four corners match for the WWF Tag Team Championships. However as we continue on with the show, Hogan is nowhere to be seen. We cut to the backstage where Austin is looking for Hogan but bumps into McMahon. Austin: Where the hell is the sob? Vince: I don’t know! Austin: I swear if he screws me out of another damn championship, I going to raise more hell than I have in my entire life! Vince: I’ll call him, but if he doesn’t show up then tough s#it! Austin walks away but quickly turns around and decks Vince! Austin walks off as Vince is holding his jaw. Stone Cold Steve Austin and Immortal Hulk Hogan (c) vs. The New Age Outlaws (Billy Gunn & The Road Dogg) vs. Nation of Domination (The Rock & D-Lo Brown) vs. Kane and Mankind with Paul Bearer in a 4 corners match for the WWF Tag Team ChampionshipsIt’s showtime and Hogan is nowhere to be seen, Austin is pi$$ed and when all the others get in he immediately goes to town. He starts stunning everything that moves and throws people over the top rope like it’s the Royal Rumble. The match however soon turns against Austin as the numbers game is too great. All hope seems lost for Austin as he is down (and the ref as well) when suddenly Hogan walks down the aisle! He has a chair with him as he slides in the ring and hits Austin with it! He drops the chair as Kane covers Austin and Hogan wakes up the ref to screw Austin out of the Tag Team Championships. Winners and NEW WWF Tag Team Champions: Kane and Mankind:The show ends with Hogan dropping the leg on Austin and shaking both Mankind’s and Kane’s hands as the crowd boos.
