^ This. So much this. I have a freakishly weird cousin-in-law (who I no longer speak to or acknowledge) who said "Every child has a God-given right to go to Disney." And she makes her husband (my cousin) go at least twice a year with their 2 kids. The kicker is, the husband & kids don't seem to be all that interested in it anymore. Adult Disney fans are in a world all their own. They think they're the first ones to get engaged in front of the Magic Castle. Yawn. Or say "When I die, I want my ashes go be secretly scattered in the Haunted Castle." News flash, moron. The Haunted Castle gets vacuumed out every night. Looks like your remains will end up in a landfill somewhere in Florida. But as long as they don't push their "Disney Kool-Aid" on anyone, I guess it's their life to live. Hahaha, are we related? I have a cousin who drags her family down there pretty frequently. They are in no financial position to be going as frequently as they do. Every time she springs a trip on them, she tries to do some Facebook video reveal to the kids that always falls flat because a) she overthinks it and b) the kids aren't the sharpest crayons in the box. Then they get down there, and she makes them pose for every last photo op under the sun. Their photos are always in front of the digital backdrops, look fake as all getup, and to boot, her husband looks 1000% miserable with everything in his life. #HappiestPlaceOnEarth

She's the type of person who would blow a gasket & be upset for weeks if my cousin even suggested going someplace else. I think he's too scared to even think about it. He works his @ss off, she works part-time. She's definitely a "Karen", a highly opinionated b*tch, spends hours s day on social media and should seriously go see a psychiatrist. If Rebel Wilson had brown hair & crazy eyes, she'd look exactly like her.

Her kids are monsters. They've been addicted to coffee and sugar since the age of 2/3 because she thinks it's cute. The five year old has already had a root canal, but she's certain their bad teeth are just genetic. Definitely the type that calls herself a "cool mom".

Ugh. I know the type! Yeah, my cousin-in-law definitely has a case of the bat sh*ts.

I went to Universal in Orlando 3 years ago and it was amazing, if you can afford it i highly suggest getting a fast pass since the lines at the major rides are long and it did make a difference.

Fresh off my worst amusement park experience..Disney’s Hollywood studios,. I’m curious what parks everyone has been too and which ones are recommended and which ones are just plain bad. In Orlando, I have loved animal kingdom and I can easily appreciate the magic kingdom. I love universal. (I’ve never been to any of the water parks.) I have liked several six flags. I liked kings dominion Virginia. I like canobie lake park, which is local to me. Star Wars world at Hollywood studios is sub-par. The entire park leaves something to be desired especially compared with the other Disney parks I know. Universals Harry Potter is king imo. Avatar at animal kingdom also rocks. Star Wars should be better. I was mega disappointed today with Disney. What do you all like/dislike about the parks you know? Kings Dominion has went so far downhill the last few years. Used to he a great day. Now the ride maintenance is pathetic, food is lukewarm at best, frogs were floating in the wave pool last time we went. When Paramount owned it, it was great.

I haven’t been in almost 30 years. Too bad to hear that but not surprising

Ome of my favorite places to visit in college was Cedar Point, despite the fact that I swear every time I went, something horrible happened.
One day I went, and it poured all day and most of the coasters were shut down. One day, I lost a lens to my glasses on a ride in the first hour and had to go home early because of an eye-strain headache One day, my SO got a massive bloody nose and we spent three hours in the nurse's station before they would let us leave
And so on.
Every time I went, something went wrong. It was like the place was cursed. And yet, I kept going back.

At the time, they had just opened a coaster called “Superman” and it was crazy high and fast. A friend and I got a season pass and after class together we went over to the park and did the coaster once or twice and then just left. That was a fun semester.
