What would yall say Impact is doing right, and wrong?
From what I have seen, they have the talent, and creative talent at that. That cane spot with Ace was cool...they have a star there. Ethan Page and his partner sure are move innovators.
Haven't watched long enough for a vignette...I pop in and out every once in awhile.
The color scheme is just too dark, and it feels not flat, but negative, an actual detriment to the talent they have. I would love some bright colors and presentation.
The commentary of Cyrus and Josh, eh, no thanks....I am biased against them though. Tenay and West were their voices. Too, that commentary feels overlayed heavily, so much that you cannot hear the match and bumps. I cannot even hear the crowd, and I am sure people are enjoying it and it aint dead in there.
The Impact name has a bad taste in a lot of mouths, and essentially being the reason NJPW isn't on AXS doesn't help...they have goodwill with the TNA name, just look at the hype for the homecoming show.
Lastly, they do have some youtube innovation (some wrestlers have channels) that gets their talent over, on their own. And they did seem to level out the money issues, and could do some good stuff.....
Anyhoo, what are yalls thoughts? I really don't want the place to be a joke, it had so many good memories for me in the weekly ppv era.
GeGeGeGeGe....That's all folks!
Cheers.

What's Impact doing right??
Impact is up and running, even after every single good and bad situation that could possibly and impossibly happen, happened. No matter what happens, they've outlasted WCW and ECW. Wait, is this just a case of WWE not being interested in buying them out, shutting them down, and using the library for the Network?? Whatever the case, Impact! is still making an Impact!!
What's Impact doing wrong??
Impact gets in it's on way, regardless of their position in Professional Sports Wrestling Entertainment. When things are good, they push a little too far from their range. When things are bad, its usually too late. They lost the number 2 spot to Generation Me. Think about that.

What they are doing right: They are not afraid to be different. The way they shoot their segments, the style of storylines they do, the gimmicks they choose. I really appreciate how they are willing to be the alternative. AEW is great, but it's very close to WWE. Impact is the furthest thing, I fell, you can find from "mainstream" wrestling on TV. They also aren't afraid to repackage a veteran or longtime employee. Guys like John Cena or Roman Reigns have been who they have been for 8+ years now. But in Impact they let guys like Eddie Edwards do a complete repackage from the technical wrestler to the crazy guy who talks to a kendo stick. They turned Jeff Hardy, one of the most over babyfaces, to a heel as the Anti-Christ. And look at what they are doing with RVD now. It isn't a nostalgia run, it's actually a new gimmick and character for him. Plus, they have intergender wrestling with Tessa being the World Champ of the entire company.
What they are doing wrong: The above doesn't always work out. While yes, they are different, that doesn't always mean it's better. I know a lot of people who are not fans of the way they shoot their backstage segments. It's almost a cheaper version of the ol' Broken Hardy style of shooting. Another thing is I know a lot of people are turned off by their "nastiness" and "grossness." The RVD character, all the F words, the flipping people off, the Ace Austin angles, Tessa wrestling men, I know a lot of people who feel it comes across as too trashy and they can't get into something like that.
So for me, their biggest plus is also their biggest negative.

I just hate how Scott D'Amore has turned Impact Wrestling into his BCW company. Bringing in local Canadian wrestlers that nobody knows of.
The Fight Network in Canada airs Impact and it will also air hour long TNA specials. And watching guys like Sting, Hogan, Roode, Styles, Dudleys, Christian, Booker T, Daniels, Kaz, Joe on those shows, and seeing who is there now, just feels like a completely different wrestling company and not for the better at that!

That's only when they do shows in Canada though. Like Aiden Prince only works the Canada shows, but tends to be one of the more over guys when they do go over there. Like in Mexico they use all the AAA guys. Wherever they tour, they bring in local talent. I don't think it's flooded currently with Canadian wrestlers.

I watch Impact but never consistently enough because it doesn’t often leave an impact on me when I watch. Don’t get me wrong there are some crazy things going on and they’re definitely creative. Something about the promotion doesn’t sit well for some reason? Like there are a lot of guys there I enjoy watching but it doesn’t seem like Impact to me.
If I had to name some stuff, my viewing of Impact dwindled after Lashley left and they became almost just like a televised indy. I guess I don’t like the rebrand?
Idk that’s a rambling answer but I can’t exactly put my finger on it.

I enjoy Impact, I watch every week, but I do have a hard time remembering what happened the previous week. Nothing really stays with me. And I agree about the televised indy. I think they operate it as such too. The Twitch specials, the buildings they pick, the talent exchanges, the "novelty" bookings like Ken Shamrock, it definitely operates like an indy that has a TV deal.
