How I Would’ve Booked: Ultimate Warrior Had He Stayed 1996 Onward
In the conclusion of WrestleMania XII, Shawn Michaels beats Bret Hart for the WWE Championship. As Vince McMahon says the “boyhood dream has come true”- The Ultimate Warrior’s music plays. The Ultimate Warrior runs down the ramp, into the ring, and goes face-to-face with Shawn Michaels. Warrior taps on the WWE Championship and stares down HBK to end WrestleMania XII. The Ultimate Warrior does not face Hunter Hearst Helmsley; but returns at the conclusion of WrestleMania XII instead.
The following night on Raw, Ultimate Warrior doesn’t speak, but still signals that he wants the WWE Championship by signifying the gesture of the hands around the waist. Shawn Michaels comes out and goes head-to-head with Warrior, stating that if he wants a match for the WWE Championship, he can have it anytime, anyplace, and anywhere. Ultimate Warrior picks up Shawn and hits him with the Gorilla Press Slam. Vince McMahon announces that Shawn Michaels will defend the WWE Championship against the Ultimate Warrior at In Your House 7.
At In Your House 7: Shawn Michaels hits the Ultimate Warrior with a third Sweet Chin Music, but Diesel interferes and Jackknife Powerbombs both men to end the PPV. At In Your House 8, it is revealed that Shawn Michaels will defend the WWE Championship against The Ultimate Warrior & Diesel in a Triple-Threat match.
During the Triple-Threat Match, Warrior Gorilla Press Slams Diesel through the announce table- but Shawn Sweet Chin Musics Warrior over the barricade and rolls Diesel in to pin him and retain the WWE Championship. Warrior begins to get frustrated after the match and throws a monitor. Warrior has not said a single word since his return.
On the Raw after In Your House 8: The Ultimate Warrior is confronted by Jerry Lawler. Lawler slaps Warrior and runs away. Warrior chases him backstage and tears apart the entire locker room.
Vince McMahon schedules the Ultimate Warrior vs Jerry Lawler for King of the Ring. Jerry claims that he’s going to show Warrior how to bow down to the king of WWE. At King of the Ring, Warrior squashes Jerry Lawler in a way similar to Brock Lesnar and John Cena at SummerSlam 2014.
After being in exile for a few weeks, The Ultimate Warrior returns to WWE programming to once again challenge Shawn Michaels for the WWE Championship. At SummerSlam 1996, The Ultimate Warrior defeats Shawn Michaels for the WWE Championship.
Shawn Michaels still feuds with Mankind at In Your House: Mind Games- So Ultimate Warrior needs a challenger for the WWE Championship. Jake Roberts steps up and tries to prove he still has one great run left in him. In the leadup to the match, Jake throws Damien at Warrior, which distracts him long enough for Jake to hit the DDT onto the WWE Title. Warrior recovers from the DDT and lets out a battle scream.
At In Your House: Mind Games, Jake Roberts does everything he can to keep Warrior down, but he can’t get the job done. Warrior kicks out of the DDT onto the WWE Title- but Warrior manages to hit the Gorilla Press Slam and retain the WWE Championship.
At In Your House: Buried Alive, Shawn Michaels, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, and Vader all challenge for Ultimate Warrior’s WWE Championship. Warrior and Vader have a great exchange. Vader hits Warrior with the Vader Bomb through the announce table. Warrior manages to recover and pin Shawn to retain the WWE Title.
At Survivor Series 1996, The Ultimate Warrior accidentally throws Shawn Michaels into the referee when attempting the Gorilla Press Slam; Shawn lands on his feet, low blows Warrior, and hits two Sweet Chin Musics to finally regain the WWE Championship. After the match, The Ultimate Warrior is nowhere to be seen for two months.
The Ultimate Warrior returns during the Royal Rumble match and wins by last eliminating The Undertaker. The Ultimate Warrior challenges the WWE Champion, Vader at WrestleMania 13.

At WrestleMania 13, Vader and Ultimate Warrior take on each other in a Last Man Standing match. They break tables, exchange chairshots, and brawl in the stands. Vader hits a Vader Bomb, then another onto the steel steps. Warrior cannot reach the ten count and Vader retains the WWE Championship. As Warrior begins to rise up, Mankind appears and locks in the Mandible Claw- thus knocking Ultimate Warrior unconscious.
At In Your House: Revenge of The Taker, Mankind brutalizes the Ultimate Warrior before their match even takes place. Warrior tries to fight back, but he’s overwhelmed by Mankind’s Mandible Claw.
At in Your House: A Cold Day in Hell: Mankind makes Ultimate Warrior pass out to the Mandible Claw. Warrior gets his shots in but Mankind proves to be too much.
On Raw, Ultimate Warrior grabs a mic and tells his legion of fans that the Warrior is going to overcome all evil and prevail at the end.
At King of the Ring, Ultimate Warrior hits Mankind with the Gorilla Press Slam, but Mankind rises from the dead to lock in the Mandible Claw once again. Warrior manages to power out, but Mankind manages to lock the Mandible Claw back in- and Warrior passes out.
At Badd Blood 1997: after a four month absence, the Ultimate Warrior is found sitting in the middle of the crowd in normal street clothes. Warrior is sitting in the crowd, chewing gum, and expressionless.
The following night on Raw, Ultimate Warrior isn’t seen. However, Warrior is spotted two weeks later outside the arena, standing expressionless with black Aviator sunglasses on.
Ultimate Warrior is spotted outside the arena at Survivor Series. Jim Ross attempts to have an interview with Warrior. However, Ultimate Warrior glances at Jim Ross and walks off.
For weeks and weeks, no one can get a hold of the Ultimate Warrior. Even Vince McMahon attempts to lure Warrior back into the arena- but he’s unsuccessful.
On the first Raw of 1998, Ultimate Warrior walks to the ring in his normal clothing and black sunglasses. Warrior grabs a mic and speaks for the first time since June of 1997. Warrior says he’s sick and tired of the way WWE is. The way Vince McMahon screwed over Bret Hart, the way Shawn Michaels and Triple H run roughshod all over the arena, and most of all, the way Vince McMahon has treated Jim Hellwig over the years. Jim Hellwig says that Vince McMahon has made a fortune at his expense, and he’s emotionally exhausted with wrestling. On the other hand, Jim Hellwig says that he needs to make a change in this business. Hellwig claims that the Ultimate Warrior is dead, thanks to Vince McMahon. This 20-minute main event segment draws huge numbers for Raw and WWE.
Vince McMahon does not know how to respond to the Ultimate Warrior’s accusations towards him and WWE. Vince McMahon states that he has officially released Jim Hellwig from his WWE contract.
At the 1998 Royal Rumble, DX and Vince McMahon are teaming up to screw “Stone Cold” Steve Austin out of winning the Royal Rumble match. However, Ultimate Warrior comes through the crowd and cleans house. Warrior takes out Triple H and punches out Shawn Michaels, then knocks out Vince McMahon. Ultimate Warrior screws over Vince McMahon at the Royal Rumble.
Vince McMahon recruits the Nation of Domination to help assist him in dealing with the Ultimate Warrior. On the other hand, Warrior challenges Vince McMahon to a fight at WrestleMania XIV. If the Ultimate Warrior loses, he will never be seen again in WWE. Vince McMahon shockingly accepts the challenge and says besides the affiliation with the Nation of Domination, he will fight the match fair and square.
At WrestleMania XIV, Ultimate Warrior makes his entrance in somber, black pyrotechnics. Warrior wears black warrior face paint, black arm tassels, black wristbands, new full-legged black tights, and black tassels attached to his black boots. This is a new Ultimate Warrior. Warrior changes a majority of his moveset. The Ultimate Warrior still has the same intensity- except much more aggressive and vicious than before. Warrior fights off Kama, D-Lo, and Farooq. Then, Warrior hits the Gorilla Press Slam on Vince and retains his career.
At SummerSlam 1998, The Ultimate Warrior finally gets revenge over Mankind with this new gimmick. As a result of the match, Mankind temporarily retires the Mankind gimmick and goes back to Dude Love.
Throughout the rest of 1998, The Ultimate Warrior and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin are the two performers that always have Vince McMahon’s number. At Survivor Series, Ultimate Warrior and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin team up against the Corporation and are victorious.
The final four of the 1999 Royal Rumble are “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, the Ultimate Warrior, Owen Hart, & Triple H. The Ultimate Warrior eliminates Triple H. Then, in a fit of retaliation, Triple H returns to the ring and tosses Warrior out of the ring. Both men brawl to the back.
At WrestleMania XV, the Ultimate Warrior defeats Triple H in a No Disqualification match. After the match, Ultimate Warrior disappears from WWE television once again.
The Ultimate Warrior returns to WWE at SummerSlam 1999 to team up with “Stone Cold” Steve Austin to take on the Unholy Alliance for the WWE Tag Team Championships. Ultimate Warrior manages to Gorilla Press Slam The Undertaker and score a three count to capture the WWE Tag Team Championships.
At Unforgiven, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and the Ultimate Warrior retain the WWE Tag Team Championships against Edge & Christian.
At No Mercy, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and the Ultimate Warrior would retain the WWE Tag Team Championships against the Hardy Boyz
At Survivor Series, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin is found run over backstage. Ultimate Warrior defends the WWE Tag Team Championships in a Ladder match against Edge & Christian & The Hardy Boyz. However, the Hardy Boyz would capture the WWE Tag Team Championships. The Ultimate Warrior disappears.
The Ultimate Warrior would return the night after the 2000 Royal Rumble and confront The Rock. In this booking, Cactus Jack wins the 2000 Royal Rumble, and will take on Triple H at WrestleMania 2000. Ultimate Warrior stares down The Rock, and Rock makes the WrestleMania challenge. Warrior accepts and the dream match is set.
At WrestleMania 2000, the Ultimate Warrior defeats The Rock in the semi main event.
At Backlash 2000, the Ultimate Warrior is challenged by Chris Benoit. Benoit manages to out-wrestle Warrior, but Ultimate Warrior manages to hit the Gorilla Press Slam with a bad right arm and score a three count.
At Judgement Day 2000, Shane McMahon challenges the Ultimate Warrior to a street fight. Vince McMahon tells Shane that picking a fight with a man of Warrior’s calibre isn’t the best idea, but Shane begs to differ. Even with the help of Big Show, Shane isn’t able to keep Warrior down and Warrior manges to kick out of a Coast-to-Coast and Gorilla Press Slam Shane onto a trash can along with picking up the win.
In the weeks leading up to SummerSlam, the Ultimate Warrior returns to challenge Triple H for the WWE Championship. At SummerSlam, the Ultimate Warrior wins the WWE Championship from Triple H, and overcoming Vince, Stephanie, and Shane McMahon in the process.
At Unforgiven, the Ultimate Warrior would successfully defend the WWE Championship against Kurt Angle. After the match, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin returns and hits Kurt Angle with a “Stone Cold” Stunner and confronts the Ultimate Warrior.
At No Mercy, the Ultimate Warrior retains the WWE Championship against “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and Kurt Angle in a Triple-Threat match.
At Survivor Series, the Ultimate Warrior retains the WWE Championship against Kane.
At Armageddon, the Ultimate Warrior successfully defends the WWE Championship inside Hell in a Cell against The Undertaker, The Rock, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Triple H, Kane, and Kurt Angle.
At the 2001 Royal Rumble, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin would beat the Ultimate Warrior to win back the WWE Championship while The Rock would win the 2001 Royal Rumble match.
In the weeks leading up to WrestleMania, the Ultimate Warrior is challenged by The Undertaker to a No Holds Barred match at WrestleMania X-Seven. The Ultimate Warrior proves to be a great adversary for the American Badass, but it takes three Tombstone Piledrivers to keep him down. Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross say the Ultimate Warrior is the closest to ever beat The Undertaker at WrestleMania. The Ultimate Warrior vanishes from WWE TV.
The Alliance has a 5-4 advantage at Survivor Series. Team WWE is The Rock, Kurt Angle, The Undertaker, and Kane and Team Alliance is “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Shane McMahon, Booker T, Rob Van Dam, and Chris Jericho. Right as the match starts, the lights go out. Then, the Ultimate Warrior is standing in the middle of the ring, and points at the Alliance. The Rock and Ultimate Warrior are the two sole-survivors to team WWE as Warrior eliminates Austin with the Gorilla Press Slam.
In the 2002 Royal Rumble, the final four are “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Triple H, Mr. Perfect, and Kurt Angle. Austin hits all three men with “Stone Cold” Stunners; then, the lights go out. When the lights are back on, the Ultimate Warrior stands in the middle of the ring and throws “Stone Cold” Steve Austin out of the ring, eliminating him.
The next night on Raw, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin wants blood, and looks for Warrior all over the arena. However, Warrior isn’t anywhere to be found. Austin claims he wants a match for the Undisputed Championship at No Way Out, then he’ll take care of the Ultimate Warrior later.
At No Way Out, the Ultimate Warrior re-appears and costs “Stone Cold” Steve Austin the Undisputed against Chris Jericho. Ultimate Warrior doesn’t attack “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, but distracts him long enough for Jericho to roll him up.
At WrestleMania X8, the Ultimate Warrior defeats “Stone Cold” Steve Austin in a Texas Deathmatch. After the match, Ultimate Warrior nods to Austin in respect.
At Judgement Day, the Ultimate Warrior defeats The Undertaker and Hulk Hogan- winning the Undisputed Championship.
At King of the Ring, the Ultimate Warrior successfully defends the Undisputed Championship against The Undertaker and Triple H in a Triple-Threat match.
At Vengeance, The Rock defeats the Ultimate Warrior, Kurt Angle, The Undertaker, and Rob Van Dam to win the Undisputed Championship.

The Ultimate Warrior confirms no affiliation with any brand, thus making him and Hulk Hogan the only free agents in WWE.

At SummerSlam 2003, the Ultimate Warrior wins the World Heavyweight Championship inside the Elimination Chamber. The Elimination Chamber participants are: Ultimate Warrior, Chris Jericho, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Kane, & Rob Van Dam. Ultimate Warrior defeats Triple H in the final two by executing the Gorilla Press Slam- thus winning the World Heavyweight Championship.
At Unforgiven, the Ultimate Warrior defeats Shawn Michaels to retain the World Heavyweight Championship.
At Survivor Series, the Ultimate Warrior takes on Brock Lesnar in a WWE Champion vs World Heavyweight Champion match. Ultimate Warrior manages to kick out of two F5s and conquer Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series.

The Ultimate Warrior faces Goldberg at the 2004 Royal Rumble and gets destroyed. Goldberg spears him through the barricade, over the announce table, and Jackhammers Warrior through the announce table. Goldberg tosses Warrior back into the ring and hits one last Jackhammer to secure the win. Ultimate Warrior leaves the 2004 Royal Rumble bloodied and battered.
Eric Bischoff announces that at WrestleMania XX, Goldberg will take on the Ultimate Warrior in a rematch.
At WrestleMania XX, the Ultimate Warrior shockingly returns to the original 1996 Ultimate Warrior gimmick; Goldberg can’t believe it. Goldberg hits Warrior with a Spear, then another Spear outside the ring, a Spear over the announce table, and a Spear through the announce table. Goldberg toses Warrior back in the ring and hits a Jackhammer: 1,2, Ultimate Warrior powers out and feeds off of the WrestleMania XX crowd. Warrior recovers and hits a Gorilla Press Slam, followed by three gigantic splashes for the win.
At SummerSlam 2004, the Ultimate Warrior returns, challenges, and defeats John Cena. Cena gets the early rub of being in the ring with a legend.
At Survivor Series, Ultimate Warrior joins Team Smackdown (Ultimate Warrior, Kurt Angle, Eddie Guerrero, John Cena, & JBL) to defeat Team Raw (Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Randy Orton, Chris Benoit, & Batista). Ultimate Warrior and Kurt Angle are the sole Survivors for Team Smackdown.
Royal Rumble 2005: Ultimate Warrior defeats Edge.
In the leadup to WrestleMania 21, Randy Orton claims he’s killed every legend there is to kill in WWE. The Ultimate Warrior returns and says he is the only legend Randy Orton will never kill. Randy Orton issues a challenge for WrestleMania 21, Warrior accepts and hits Randy Orton with the Gorilla Press Slam to end Raw.
At WrestleMania 21, Randy Orton retires the Ultimate Warrior. It takes three RKO’s to keep Warrior down. Randy Orton manages to kick out of a Gorilla Press Slam as well. After the match, Warrior sits in the middle of the ring and breaks character, thanking all of the fans for making his career what it is today. The Ultimate Warrior officially retires as a new generation of superstars is among us.

On Raw, Ultimate Warrior grabs a mic and tells his legion of fans that the Warrior is going to overcome all evil and prevail at the end.
At King of the Ring, Ultimate Warrior hits Mankind with the Gorilla Press Slam, but Mankind rises from the dead to lock in the Mandible Claw once again. Warrior manages to power out, but Mankind manages to lock the Mandible Claw back in- and Warrior passes out.
At Badd Blood 1997: after a four month absence, the Ultimate Warrior is found sitting in the middle of the crowd in normal street clothes. Warrior is sitting in the crowd, chewing gum, and expressionless.
The following night on Raw, Ultimate Warrior isn’t seen. However, Warrior is spotted two weeks later outside the arena, standing expressionless with black Aviator sunglasses on.
Ultimate Warrior is spotted outside the arena at Survivor Series. Jim Ross attempts to have an interview with Warrior. However, Ultimate Warrior glances at Jim Ross and walks off.
For weeks and weeks, no one can get a hold of the Ultimate Warrior. Even Vince McMahon attempts to lure Warrior back into the arena- but he’s unsuccessful.
On the first Raw of 1998, Ultimate Warrior walks to the ring in his normal clothing and black sunglasses. Warrior grabs a mic and speaks for the first time since June of 1997. Warrior says he’s sick and tired of the way WWE is. The way Vince McMahon screwed over Bret Hart, the way Shawn Michaels and Triple H run roughshod all over the arena, and most of all, the way Vince McMahon has treated Jim Hellwig over the years. Jim Hellwig says that Vince McMahon has made a fortune at his expense, and he’s emotionally exhausted with wrestling. On the other hand, Jim Hellwig says that he needs to make a change in this business. Hellwig claims that the Ultimate Warrior is dead, thanks to Vince McMahon. This 20-minute main event segment draws huge numbers for Raw and WWE.
Vince McMahon does not know how to respond to the Ultimate Warrior’s accusations towards him and WWE. Vince McMahon states that he has officially released Jim Hellwig from his WWE contract.
At the 1998 Royal Rumble, DX and Vince McMahon are teaming up to screw “Stone Cold” Steve Austin out of winning the Royal Rumble match. However, Ultimate Warrior comes through the crowd and cleans house. Warrior takes out Triple H and punches out Shawn Michaels, then knocks out Vince McMahon. Ultimate Warrior screws over Vince McMahon at the Royal Rumble.
Vince McMahon recruits the Nation of Domination to help assist him in dealing with the Ultimate Warrior. On the other hand, Warrior challenges Vince McMahon to a fight at WrestleMania XIV. If the Ultimate Warrior loses, he will never be seen again in WWE. Vince McMahon shockingly accepts the challenge and says besides the affiliation with the Nation of Domination, he will fight the match fair and square.
At WrestleMania XIV, Ultimate Warrior makes his entrance in somber, black pyrotechnics. Warrior wears black warrior face paint, black arm tassels, black wristbands, new full-legged black tights, and black tassels attached to his black boots. This is a new Ultimate Warrior. Warrior changes a majority of his moveset. The Ultimate Warrior still has the same intensity- except much more aggressive and vicious than before. Warrior fights off Kama, D-Lo, and Farooq. Then, Warrior hits the Gorilla Press Slam on Vince and retains his career.
At SummerSlam 1998, The Ultimate Warrior finally gets revenge over Mankind with this new gimmick. As a result of the match, Mankind temporarily retires the Mankind gimmick and goes back to Dude Love.
Throughout the rest of 1998, The Ultimate Warrior and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin are the two performers that always have Vince McMahon’s number. At Survivor Series, Ultimate Warrior and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin team up against the Corporation and are victorious.
The final four of the 1999 Royal Rumble are “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, the Ultimate Warrior, Owen Hart, & Triple H. The Ultimate Warrior eliminates Triple H. Then, in a fit of retaliation, Triple H returns to the ring and tosses Warrior out of the ring. Both men brawl to the back.
At WrestleMania XV, the Ultimate Warrior defeats Triple H in a No Disqualification match. After the match, Ultimate Warrior disappears from WWE television once again.
The Ultimate Warrior returns to WWE at SummerSlam 1999 to team up with “Stone Cold” Steve Austin to take on the Unholy Alliance for the WWE Tag Team Championships. Ultimate Warrior manages to Gorilla Press Slam The Undertaker and score a three count to capture the WWE Tag Team Championships.
At Unforgiven, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and the Ultimate Warrior retain the WWE Tag Team Championships against Edge & Christian.
At No Mercy, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and the Ultimate Warrior would retain the WWE Tag Team Championships against the Hardy Boyz
At Survivor Series, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin is found run over backstage. Ultimate Warrior defends the WWE Tag Team Championships in a Ladder match against Edge & Christian & The Hardy Boyz. However, the Hardy Boyz would capture the WWE Tag Team Championships. The Ultimate Warrior disappears.
The Ultimate Warrior would return the night after the 2000 Royal Rumble and confront The Rock. In this booking, Cactus Jack wins the 2000 Royal Rumble, and will take on Triple H at WrestleMania 2000. Ultimate Warrior stares down The Rock, and Rock makes the WrestleMania challenge. Warrior accepts and the dream match is set.
At WrestleMania 2000, the Ultimate Warrior defeats The Rock in the semi main event.
At Backlash 2000, the Ultimate Warrior is challenged by Chris Benoit. Benoit manages to out-wrestle Warrior, but Ultimate Warrior manages to hit the Gorilla Press Slam with a bad right arm and score a three count.
At Judgement Day 2000, Shane McMahon challenges the Ultimate Warrior to a street fight. Vince McMahon tells Shane that picking a fight with a man of Warrior’s calibre isn’t the best idea, but Shane begs to differ. Even with the help of Big Show, Shane isn’t able to keep Warrior down and Warrior manges to kick out of a Coast-to-Coast and Gorilla Press Slam Shane onto a trash can along with picking up the win.
In the weeks leading up to SummerSlam, the Ultimate Warrior returns to challenge Triple H for the WWE Championship. At SummerSlam, the Ultimate Warrior wins the WWE Championship from Triple H, and overcoming Vince, Stephanie, and Shane McMahon in the process.
At Unforgiven, the Ultimate Warrior would successfully defend the WWE Championship against Kurt Angle. After the match, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin returns and hits Kurt Angle with a “Stone Cold” Stunner and confronts the Ultimate Warrior.
At No Mercy, the Ultimate Warrior retains the WWE Championship against “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and Kurt Angle in a Triple-Threat match.
At Survivor Series, the Ultimate Warrior retains the WWE Championship against Kane.
At Armageddon, the Ultimate Warrior successfully defends the WWE Championship inside Hell in a Cell against The Undertaker, The Rock, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Triple H, Kane, and Kurt Angle.
At the 2001 Royal Rumble, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin would beat the Ultimate Warrior to win back the WWE Championship while The Rock would win the 2001 Royal Rumble match.
In the weeks leading up to WrestleMania, the Ultimate Warrior is challenged by The Undertaker to a No Holds Barred match at WrestleMania X-Seven. The Ultimate Warrior proves to be a great adversary for the American Badass, but it takes three Tombstone Piledrivers to keep him down. Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross say the Ultimate Warrior is the closest to ever beat The Undertaker at WrestleMania. The Ultimate Warrior vanishes from WWE TV.
The Alliance has a 5-4 advantage at Survivor Series. Team WWE is The Rock, Kurt Angle, The Undertaker, and Kane and Team Alliance is “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Shane McMahon, Booker T, Rob Van Dam, and Chris Jericho. Right as the match starts, the lights go out. Then, the Ultimate Warrior is standing in the middle of the ring, and points at the Alliance. The Rock and Ultimate Warrior are the two sole-survivors to team WWE as Warrior eliminates Austin with the Gorilla Press Slam.
In the 2002 Royal Rumble, the final four are “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Triple H, Mr. Perfect, and Kurt Angle. Austin hits all three men with “Stone Cold” Stunners; then, the lights go out. When the lights are back on, the Ultimate Warrior stands in the middle of the ring and throws “Stone Cold” Steve Austin out of the ring, eliminating him.
The next night on Raw, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin wants blood, and looks for Warrior all over the arena. However, Warrior isn’t anywhere to be found. Austin claims he wants a match for the Undisputed Championship at No Way Out, then he’ll take care of the Ultimate Warrior later.
At No Way Out, the Ultimate Warrior re-appears and costs “Stone Cold” Steve Austin the Undisputed against Chris Jericho. Ultimate Warrior doesn’t attack “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, but distracts him long enough for Jericho to roll him up.
At WrestleMania X8, the Ultimate Warrior defeats “Stone Cold” Steve Austin in a Texas Deathmatch. After the match, Ultimate Warrior nods to Austin in respect.
At Judgement Day, the Ultimate Warrior defeats The Undertaker and Hulk Hogan- winning the Undisputed Championship.
At King of the Ring, the Ultimate Warrior successfully defends the Undisputed Championship against The Undertaker and Triple H in a Triple-Threat match.
At Vengeance, The Rock defeats the Ultimate Warrior, Kurt Angle, The Undertaker, and Rob Van Dam to win the Undisputed Championship.
At SummerSlam 2002, the Ultimate Warrior and Hulk Hogan have a legendary rematch. The Ultimate Warrior manages to pin Hulk Hogan with the Gorilla Press Slam.
The Ultimate Warrior returns at No Way Out 2003 to team up with Chris Benoit and Brock Lesnar to take on Team Angle in a 6-man Tag Team match. Warrior pins Kurt Angle with the Gorilla Press Slam. Then, the Ultimate Warrior stares down Chris Benoit, and they go face-to-face. The Ultimate Warrior vs Chris Benoit is scheduled for WrestleMania XIX.
At WrestleMania XIX, the Ultimate Warrior defeats Chris Benoit in a grueling match.
The Ultimate Warrior confirms no affiliation with any brand, thus making him and Hulk Hogan the only free agents in WWE.
The Ultimate Warrior returns at Badd Blood and confronts Triple H after his Hell in a Cell match against Kevin Nash.
At SummerSlam 2003, the Ultimate Warrior wins the World Heavyweight Championship inside the Elimination Chamber. The Elimination Chamber participants are: Ultimate Warrior, Chris Jericho, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Kane, & Rob Van Dam. Ultimate Warrior defeats Triple H in the final two by executing the Gorilla Press Slam- thus winning the World Heavyweight Championship.
At Unforgiven, the Ultimate Warrior defeats Shawn Michaels to retain the World Heavyweight Championship.
At Survivor Series, the Ultimate Warrior takes on Brock Lesnar in a WWE Champion vs World Heavyweight Champion match. Ultimate Warrior manages to kick out of two F5s and conquer Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series.
At Armageddon, Triple H wins back the World Heavyweight Championship by pinning Shawn Michaels in a Triple-Threat match.
The following night on Raw, Ultimate Warrior is speared by Goldberg through the barricade and Jackhammered through the announce table. Goldberg turns heel.
The Ultimate Warrior faces Goldberg at the 2004 Royal Rumble and gets destroyed. Goldberg spears him through the barricade, over the announce table, and Jackhammers Warrior through the announce table. Goldberg tosses Warrior back into the ring and hits one last Jackhammer to secure the win. Ultimate Warrior leaves the 2004 Royal Rumble bloodied and battered.
Eric Bischoff announces that at WrestleMania XX, Goldberg will take on the Ultimate Warrior in a rematch.
At WrestleMania XX, the Ultimate Warrior shockingly returns to the original 1996 Ultimate Warrior gimmick; Goldberg can’t believe it. Goldberg hits Warrior with a Spear, then another Spear outside the ring, a Spear over the announce table, and a Spear through the announce table. Goldberg toses Warrior back in the ring and hits a Jackhammer: 1,2, Ultimate Warrior powers out and feeds off of the WrestleMania XX crowd. Warrior recovers and hits a Gorilla Press Slam, followed by three gigantic splashes for the win.
At SummerSlam 2004, the Ultimate Warrior returns, challenges, and defeats John Cena. Cena gets the early rub of being in the ring with a legend.
At Survivor Series, Ultimate Warrior joins Team Smackdown (Ultimate Warrior, Kurt Angle, Eddie Guerrero, John Cena, & JBL) to defeat Team Raw (Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Randy Orton, Chris Benoit, & Batista). Ultimate Warrior and Kurt Angle are the sole Survivors for Team Smackdown.
Royal Rumble 2005: Ultimate Warrior defeats Edge.
In the leadup to WrestleMania 21, Randy Orton claims he’s killed every legend there is to kill in WWE. The Ultimate Warrior returns and says he is the only legend Randy Orton will never kill. Randy Orton issues a challenge for WrestleMania 21, Warrior accepts and hits Randy Orton with the Gorilla Press Slam to end Raw.
At WrestleMania 21, Randy Orton retires the Ultimate Warrior. It takes three RKO’s to keep Warrior down. Randy Orton manages to kick out of a Gorilla Press Slam as well. After the match, Warrior sits in the middle of the ring and breaks character, thanking all of the fans for making his career what it is today. The Ultimate Warrior officially retires as a new generation of superstars is among us.
