If/when AEW gets a figure deal, what would be your opinion of the first 3Series line-ups (6 singles figures each series) & tag team 2-packs (3 teams each series)? Here are mine:
Series 1 Cody Chris Jericho Jon Moxley Kenny Omega Hangman Page Pac
Tag Team Series 1 SCU (Daniels & Kazarian) Lucha Bros. Young Bucks
Series 2 Shawn Spears Jake Hager Scorpio Sky Dustin Rhodes MJF Sammy Guevara
Tag Team Series 2 Santana & Ortiz Private Party Best Friends
Series 3 Darby Allen Jimmy Havoc Joey Janela Orange Cassidy Britt Baker Riho
Tag Team Series 3 Jurassic Express Dark Order Hybrid2
Hopefully this happens 2020 and are in scale with Mattel & all the other recent ones.

Chris Jericho Riho Frankie Kazarian Scorpio Sky
Included, of course, are the Championship Title Belts of All Elite Wrestling.

Not sure they would do 2-packs right off the bat. I would think it might be safer to stick with single figure waves.
Jericho Cody Omega Dr. Britt Baker Nick Jackson Matt Jackson
Dustin Rhodes Moxley Pac Sammy Guevara Hangman Page Riho
Pentagon Rey Fenix MJF Darby Allin Luchasaurus Jungle Boy
Frankie Kazarian Scorpio Sky Shawn Spears Brandi Rhodes Santana Ortiz

The way AEW is pushing Tag Team Wrestling, they might start with 2 packs, and then single packs...and it will work, just like everything else AEW is doing.

The way AEW is pushing Tag Team Wrestling, they might start with 2 packs, and then single packs...and it will work, just like everything else AEW is doing. Lots of factors there. It would depend on the willingness of the company producing the figures and whether or not they're able to absorb the risk. It would also depend on whether or not they can get retailers on board. The toy landscape right now is much different than it was even a decade ago. If they have to sell them in a similar fashion to the Storm, Boss Fight, or Super 7 figures, you'd be looking at $80+ per 2-pack. That's not going to work. They'll definitely sell some, but those figures are going to be limited. People aren't going to be overloading a website to buy Dark Order and Hybrid 2 sets for almost $100 after shipping. If they push them to retail and they have to sell them for $40-$50 per 2-pack, that could also wind up being a one-and-done set. But if they can get quality figures that are close to Mattel's Elite figures in stores for around $15 a piece? That could end up being a big deal.

If it is a mass retail line, you will need the more affordable/less articulated $10 figures before they can make the deluxe ones.

I agree with this. But i would move Jurassic Express to series two, and MJF to series one.

Interesting question... would this theoretical toy maker even have the rights to make Pentagon and Fenix seeing as there are figures of them set to hit the market in the near future already?

In this specific instance, Masked Republic deal with the rights/licensing for Penta & Fenix, not the toy maker (Boss Fight). But seeing as Boss Fight have done a fantastic job of making the Fenix & Penta, I’d be more than happy with them getting the AEW contract.

Series 1
1 - Kenny Omega 2 - PAC 3 - Jericho w/ championship belt 4 - Adam Page 5 - Christopher Daniels 6 - Goldust ‘Flashback’
1 - SCU (Scorpio Sky & Kazarian) w/ championship belts 2 - Bucks 3 - Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus
Series 2
1 - Moxley 2 - Cody 3 - MJF 4 - Awesome Kong 5 - Orange Cassidy 6 - Jerry Lynn ‘Flashback’
1 - LAX 2 - Best Fiends 3 - Rock N Roll Express (if they could work something out) if not Bucks repaints I guess
Series 3
1 - Jake Hager 2 - Cody (in suit) 3 - Goldust (current) 4 - Sammy Guervara 5 - Shawn Spears 6 - Jim Ross ‘Flashback’
1 - Lucha Bros (if they are available?) 2 - Jimmy Havoc / Darby Allin 3 - Kenny Omega / Jon Moxley
Roster is pretty limited so it would be a lot of repaints, plus adding in guys like Hager, Joey Jannela, Malenko, Billy Gunn, Schaviane and the women
They could go after lots of these stars that Mattel refuses to sign and have Mattel collectors automatically grabbing their product
Rick Martel, Adrian Adonis, Midnight Express, Dunamite, Nikita Koloff, Ivan Koloff, and on and on for about 100 more names

Most of AEW are below the likes of skinner in the hasbro line
Outside of Cody, Jericho, goldust (who all made their name in WWE) they have no one marketable (bucks and omega would peg warm in a toy shop harder than Titus o Neil)

Has there been any signs from them that they would follow a Mattel model for this theoretical line? I always picture them doing AEW figures having an old-school feel, being bendies, maybe a Retro-ish feel at best.

Your post is painfully inaccurate.

I always picture them doing AEW figures having an old-school feel, being bendies, maybe a Retro-ish feel at best. They have scanned wrestlers, which would make me think they're doing something more modern. Old-school figures would probably be hand tooled to get the right look. I can definitely see retro-style releases, but I think modern figures are inevitable. Ratings have been pretty strong, and they're doing well with younger demographics. And you have to remember that toys serve two purposes - they're a money-maker, but they're also advertising and ways to build brand loyalty with young viewers.

MJF OC Jericho Omega Cody Hikaru Shida Shanna (gimme that big ol' butt) Bea Priestley SCU (all 3) Jungle Boy Aubrey Edwards
Those are my main ones I want. But will buy all. Be nice to buy current wrestlers, instead of Stone Colds, Bret, The Rock, and Warriors.

When have WWE C listers ever done as well as the Elite do on PWtees? They can't even do well on WWEShop. The Bucks are money.

You went from Titus and Skinner to Roman and Seth. Way to move the goalpost.
