Why is it when RAW is number 1, 2, 3 for the demos on Monday night but the overall is down, we hear how bad they're doing. But on Wednesday's the demos matter more than overall viewers? Haha I mean that's microcosmic of the news industry as a whole

Just a coincidence you had just mentioned demos.

People love to point out the “falling” ratings but the truth is far less people are watching TV. It’s a fact, some of the stuff they should be absolutely be worried about but I just don’t think ratings are one of them. People love to point out that AEW and NXT both are considering successes but aren’t even close to matching “TNA’s” ratings high but we know a Million people were watching TNA but their house shows were drawing under 500 people. While both AEW and NXT were drawing several thousand people weekly to their live events. Everything is down with the exception of things like the Super Bowl, etc. but the oscars, MLB playoffs, hockey playoffs, the top five shows weekly are all significantly down.

My only complaint with NXT currently is I believe there is a few in the wrong position. By that I mean, Gargano (& Candice) doesn't work as a heel for me. Meanwhile Ciampa was the hottest heel just over a year ago. And he still should be. Pete Dunne is good as a face, but ****ing awesome as a heel. Dream (If he's still gonna be employed) is a natural heel. Aren’t those really all examples of guys that the fans turned though? I don’t think Ciampa or Dunne would ever want to be faces. But the fans turned them and the fans really really turned on Gargano there during the Cole feud.

That's an excellent question. No question, part of it is people trying to dunk on WWE without being totally truthful. I also think the larger picture is that people only point out Raw's overall numbers because those were so ginormous at one point and now it's scary low by comparison. People could easily say that Raw used to do X in the demo, but now they do Y.It'd be cool if someone found Raw's best number in the demo in the attitude era (if it was captured) and compared it to today. Finally, Raw isn't in a ratings "war" against another wrestling show on Monday. When football's on, that's a one sided battle with MNF winning every time.

I do think it's fair and ok to also say that WWE has ran off its fans over the last several years. Big picture, it'd be unfair to say that Raw is a failure compared to 90's numbers. It's also unfair to look at year to year breakdowns and ignore WWE's decline over the last 10 years.

Decent show.
- Glad to see Tegan win the opportunity. Honestly I would have been pleased with Dakota or Candice too. - Ryu on TV! About time he made his debut. - Sasha VS Io was a good match. It didn't live up to my expectations, but that's because I was expecting approximately 4,538 suicide dives and 2,361 meteoras each, instead of the slower pace we got. I'm hoping they're saving something special if they ever get a match on a big stage. But everyone else seemed to really enjoy the match from what I've read, so they clearly did a good job regardless of expectations. - I thought the match had a brilliant ending! I was honestly stumped as to how they'd book the match, given how neither Sasha nor Io could really afford to lose clean. But Asuka's interference was a good surprise spot with everyone coming out a winner. Io (kinda) gets put over, Sasha saves face for her upcoming match at Extreme Rules because of the screwy finish. Everybody wins. I thought it was Kabuki Warriors VS Golden Role Models that we needed, but now I know that it's Asuka & Io VS the Golden Role Models.

Whenever Santana Garrett comes out I think of that guy that was so excited to get her figure when she debuted....and you just know she is gonna come out and get her ass kicked again.

Can’t decide if I want Adam Cole to get moved up... or to see the reign continue.
I think I’d rather see Cole retain.

IMO the show was really on top of it's game tonight. Besides maybe Martinez's debut, everything flowed perfectly. So happy for Lee.

That was a fantastic two hours of wrestling. Wow.
The street fight was great. Candace and Mia were terrific in this match, and that finish was something else.
Swerve-Gargano was a terrific match between two great wrestlers. Would love to see that again.
The six man tag was fun. Breezango hit another home run with that entrance. Legado has a ton of potential as a group.
Reed-Nese was fine. Reed moves so well for his size.
Mercedes’ match was pretty much a squash. A bit slow in parts, but the women’s division just keeps getting better and deeper.
The main event was just awesome. What a match. One of the best matches of the year, no doubt. Amazing title run for Cole, but it’s Lee’s time. He is truly a once in a generation talent with that size-athleticism combo.
Awesome show. They hit a grand slam tonight.

Great night of action
Swerve and Gargano was even better then I thought it was gonna be. Wouldn't mind seeing Gargano and Balor again.
Mia and Candice was fun and the rest of the night was ok to good nothing great but Champion/Champion and Gargano matches made up for them.
Happy for Lee really wish it didn't get spoiled and couldve had fans that match deserved it. Really liked seeing Kross and Scarlet watching from a distance.
NXT has been so good last couple months and doesnt look like it's slowing up with Io and Nox next week.

That was a great night. I enjoyed week 1, but it didn't feel like a 'special' event. This week felt much more like a special event.
I haven't seen it pointed out yet, but one thing had me in tears laughing, and god I hope it was intentional. I know I'm vocal about blatant counter-programming driving me nuts, but I love little tiny digs at the other guys. To me super hardcore counter-programming if it becomes hot-shotting leads to worse products on both ends, but little fun ribs at each other makes it hilarious to me. As long as its not over the top. Tonight had what I think, was a perfect example of it. For those that don't watch AEW, there was a segment where Chris Jericho hit Orange Cassidy (Aka mr. Freshly Squeezed) with a bag of oranges, beating him to a pulp, becoming blood orange cassidy. (Get it? Pulp? Blood Orange? Just in case you didn't Jericho explained it a few more times lol. God he's a gem). Tonight in the street fight when Mia and Candace were getting to the table spot, I heard one of the Performance Center guys shout out "Hit her with the mandarins". God I hope that was an intentional rib at Jericho and the oranges. I was in tears laughing and almost missed the table spot because of it. Low-key highlight of the night for comments. Whoever that random PC fan was, he (I think, sounded masculine) is now my favourite PC wrestler in training. It's funny enough on it's own, but the second I heard it I was sure it was a rib and I lost it.
Speaking of which, that street fight was a banger. I love a good street fight outfit too. Solid match and balancing on that table on the ropes must have been no easy feat. Glad Candace got the win.
I never really liked Bronson, here or in the indies, but he's grown on me last 2 weeks. I'm down for the gentle giant sportsman gimmick. Usually I don't like the bigger guys like that, the match style tends not to do much for me, but his character is evolving a bit and I'm enjoying it.
Stone is so goddamn funny. Sounded like he was dying when Shotzi ran him over with the tank.
6 man tag was good, worth it for the Breezango entrance alone as per usual. Mercedez match did what it needed to.
Swerve-Gargano was obviously a clinic.
Glad they pulled the trigger on Lee, and I'm a huge Adam Cole fan. It was time though. Lee is the right guy to lead the brand right now. Good match, honestly probably better than I'm giving it credit for, but that was the end of 4 very good hours, so my endurance for subtleties was a bit worn.
What a great night for wrestling. 4 solid as hell hours that I thoroughly enjoyed. I freaking love Wednesdays.

I know it’s a common gripe, but I really can’t with all the false finishes. Less is more, and with Mauro on commentary especially, the 10th pin attempt is less exciting than the first 5 or so. There are so many times where the lack of full crowd and Mauro aren’t invested enough so you know that pin won’t be THE pin.
Or kick out at 1-1.5 more often. Every kick out shouldn’t be 2.5...
Have things mean things...

Have things mean things... I think they've actually gotten a bit better for this lately. When they first launched on t.v. in October I was completely burnt out on the false finishes in NXT, but I haven't been noticing it as much lately. A match like Lee/Cole should have some real false finishes, because that match is where they belong. Historically that was definitely my number 1 complaint for NXT, it seemed to be the worst out of almost anywhere. (PWG is probably the only place I can think of where you would see more of it) I might be just numb to it, but I thought NXT has been getting better for not having as many now. I always looked at the 2.5 kickouts differently. Sometimes it's because it's a near-fall and they just escape at the last second, but often I figured it was just grabbing every possible second of rest as you can. Why kick out at 1 when you can wait another second? Also seems like it would be more frustrating to your opponent because you get them thinking "oh my god I'm so damn close what do I have to do for that extra half a second" when in reality you're basically trolling them and could have been out at 1 the whole time. Not saying it's what they're going for with it, but it's how I've viewed it so it never really bothered me.
