It needs it's own board when weekly TV starts. Not a big ask, it could even make the place a bit more active which would be a bonus. I find that statement interesting cause why would a lack of AEW board stop anyone from talking about AEW. And whats the guarantee that the AEW board would be more active? When All Out happened, not one person talked about it, and the responses were "Oh, we dont want to deal to arguments about AEW. Oh, we need our own board for AEW". Well if more people talked about AEW, I could see a justification for an AEW board. And ill agree the TNA/Impact board shouldn't be there either. But guys, you want to show AEW should get its own board here, how about be more active on this board for AEW. Posts get lost in single threads. I only ever come to the WWE board on here but sometimes visit the classic section just because it's a sub board and catches my eye. Maybe if there was an AEW sub board it might attract a bit more attention?

The second largest promotion deserves more than one thread. If people posted it on the correct board in stead of on the wwe board it would have more thread. As for the original topic yes you can compare the two it doesn’t matter if Hogan was on stuff the fact is Hogan looked in better shape than Jericho at age 49. Although doesn’t change the fact that Jericho it 49 can still out perform Hogan in Hogan’s prime. yes, it does matter if he was on stuff and people are making comparisons. the reason being is that it's like comparing apples to oranges - one guy is running a serious amount of PEDs, the other guy is probably on moderate trt doses. that in itself explains the entire physique difference. wrestling should move away from that, as the pressure to be 'bigger and better' has literally killed a ton of talent young and hindered other's long term health.

People just don't want to take the effort to read back. It's not too much of an "ask" for people to read, nor is it too much of an "ask" for people to post where the discussion already is.

Now compare the mainstream popularity at those ages. Hogan still dwarfs Jericho in that department. Now I'm talking mainstream, how many non wrestling marks know who Jericho is? "Real people" don't know Jericho from acting, his band, etc.
Hogan was getting 10 minute standing ovations.

For AEW talk, theres an All Elite Wrestling thread on the other feds board. The second largest promotion deserves more than one thread. But nobody watches ROH

In meantime, you guys want more activity for AEW, start talking more about it. Idc, discuss the Road to videos on YouTube that they post. You guys really determine how much activity there is, not a board.

I think the OP hit a great point that by the 2000's (if not sooner), Hogan felt like a nostalgia act. He was way over, but he felt like a remnant of a bygone era. Jericho as a character still feels fresh to me.
I think part of that is that Jericho has reinvented himself time and time again, and this current version feels like a fresh take from his WWE characters. Hogan had the prayers and vitamins red/yellow gimmick and Hollywood Hogan. When he went back to red/yellow it just felt like a rehash of the 80's character.
But I think part of the issue is that when Hogan came back, there had been a decade worth of stars made in his absence. Austin, Rock, Taker had taken on a whole new life, Brock, etc. Jericho has never reached the tier that Hogan did (few ever have), but wrestling in general doesn't have the mega-stars it did when Hogan was on his last legs. So I think that helps Jericho stand out in comparison, simply because despite there being a ton of talent in the wrestling world, there really haven't been any true major mainstream breakout stars in recent memory.

Jericho looks a fair bit like James Corden dressed as Pennywise.
