Stossel came off looking horrible in this. He wanted to ruin a business that people (fans) really liked and made other people money because he didn't like that it was fake and they were trying to present it as real, did he go after magicians as well? Seems petty. I'm not suggesting that Stossel deserved to be hit, but it's ludicrous that he's still defending his motivations back then. Mock combat has existed in various forms for thousands of years. I've never understood why the idea of staged fighting is so offensive to some people.Agreed, if you don't like it don't watch it. I just don't understand wanting to ruin a business that doesn't harm the public.

Same people who hate wrestling are the same people who love fake movies in which an action hero gets shot at 30 times and doesn’t get hit or the fast and furious movies where Vin Diesel’s character is unscathed after all those car stunts.

it’s a sport thing - ‘real athletes’ in ‘real sports’. same reason why bob costas had such a hate on for Vince and the WWF.

I'm sure the producers tried but, IMO, it was a glaring omission not to conclude the Schultz/Stossel episode with them meeting again..if not in person then through Skype or something.

In a way it’s sad how many episodes of this show I can come up with lol. Like I can easy make a list up of 15-20 more episodes to do, and that’s without there being obvious stuff I may not know about.

I agree that Stossel did come off as a jackass in the documentary. I wouldn't mind having Schultz, the guy seems like a chill guy just living his life the best he can at the moment. It's a shame WWE didnt want no business with him, he could have been a huge heel.

He was robbed of what couldve been a great career, but does anybody else think he wouldve looked out of place in the Hulkamania Era? He wouldve been a better fit for the NWA.

I like Doctor D but I also think he's a star in his own mind. Dont get me wrong he's a fantastic heel and a solid worker but he was brought into WWF to be just another guy fed to Hogan. He essentially was just another Bob Orton. However, I feel like he thought of himself more on Hogan's level then Orton and then after he was blackballed/fired from WWF, he ruined his own career thinking he was a bigger draw and when it came time to talk turkey, he over valued himself whereas someone like Crockett or Gagne would just want him as a "hand" he thought of himself as a main eventer & nightly draw.
McMahon has always been "the guy" but even he doesnt have enough stroke to keep someone from wrestling all over the country, even in rival territories like JCP & AWA etc.

Dr D's claim to fame is slapping the reporter. He even states it in this episode. So really once he did that, his career kind of peeked. He wasn't going to be WWE Champion, or IC Champion. He will always be remembered though for slapping a reporter on TV when the question was asked, "is this fake??"

I found the Dino Bravo & Dr D episodes just so so. Much like most of the 2nd series If I'm honest. I agree that Schultz would have been fed to Hogan and been another Orton, Bundy, etc etc etc. No real reason for why he didn't go to JCP....

I don’t even have to watch Dark Side to conclude that Herb Abrams was in over his head!

"Wild Thing" Steve Ray somehow looks identical to Jon Moxley!! Even sounds like him too.
I learned nothing new with Herb Abrams, I believe everything that was talked about I read years ago in wrestling magazines or on the dirt sheets. Still a fun episode to watch though!

Herb seemed like a good guy, but the cocaine made him crazy.

Btw what did they say Vince McMahon refused from Abrams? Probably an offer for co-promotion. Remember when the WWF would never acknowledge that other wrestling companies exist?

B. Brian Blair’s deadpan “Herb Abrams left this world doing what he loved: cocaine and hookers” ing popped the hell out of me.
