You can easily see here Shawn was a real pain in the ass backstage He almost seems like a good human being though when he tends to the special needs fan during the match.

We really got robbed of seeing a much better Steve Austin as the top guy in the company. Damn that neck injury.

Fun memory of this show. I remember getting into a last minute bidding war for the Coliseum Video back in '99. I think I ended up paying nearly $50.

Said this in the past here but I could only imagine what was going through Vince's mind when he saw Austin lay motionless after the piledriver His next big megastar who he put everything into could be paralyzed

You figure in the middle of the Attitude Era he missed nearly a full year. Came back and had a good 2001 and by mid-2002 was pretty much cooked.

Yeah, from all accounts he was pretty good with fans, especially children. Bret even said that during this time, Shawn treated his family with nothing but respect and kindness, even though he and Bret were at each other's throats. It seems Shawn's rudeness was saved for WWF wrestlers and employees.

If Austin did get paralyzed, the best bet was to strap the rocket to Shamrock Over like rover although he wasnt good on the mic...
