It's actually kind of exciting that this is getting looped into the MCU, so we can get into some dark corners instead of the typical lasers and aliens and all that. Not that vampires are much better, but it was definitely fun to see him pop up at the end of that trailer.

Well my dad is probably the biggest Morbius fan there is and he seems pretty hyped for this lol. I have vivid memories about him telling me all about Morbius, Werewolf at Night and these other "horror" comics he enjoyed when he was a teenager when I was a kid I also remember him complaining non stop about Morbius in the Spider-Man animated series I watched. I think the trailer looks ok, in all honesty apart from my old man and the animated series, Morbius is a character I have never really paid a great deal of attention to. I have read the odd story here and there, but I would not say he is one of my favorites. I am fine with Spider-Man being in this world as long as this keeps him in the MCU. The way I see it is they can have Spider-Man be in the MCu for bg picture stuff and these "adventures" can be the stuff he gets up to while away from that.

Movie looked better than I expected. Can't be worse than Venom. But the MCU hints just confuse the s**t out of me. No idea.

I keep seeing people saying this but haven't really been able to talk to anyone about it. What confuses you about it? It seems pretty straight forward to me that it's a 'sidebar' from whatever the main Spider-Man movie is...if these characters don't end up showing up in those movies as well. Just kind of an extended sandbox, right?

I figured there would be a Venom reference and maybe hints to a Spider Man out there. But I never would have guessed Keaton's Vulture being in it. It's not a bad confused, more of a "oh I didn't see that coming" sorta thing.

Its such a pity they jumped the shark with Venom. Robbed out of some GREAT Spidey movies there.

As I'm reading more about it it doesn't seem fully clear as to what the deal is, but it seems like people are standing behind the idea that the 'Spider-Verse' can pull characters from the MCU as long as they don't reference the MCU at large, including Spider-Man. I have to imagine a few things we don't even know about have been discussed since that debacle with the contract negotiations so I think this is probably going to be more wait and see than anything. Exciting, though!

Well there's no kinda sorta....the Netflix shows are 100% in the MCU but just focus on a different level of activity....which is good.

Speaking of Dr Strange 2...Sam Raimi circling it as director & Rachel McAdams wont be returning as Christine Palmer. Pity about RM...I liked her in the 1st movie a lot. She brought a lot to it IMHO.

Based on all the small previews we've seen of WandaVision, I feel like it looks exactly like what this woman's pitch for it was on Movie Fights! Does anyone else agree that it could be something along these lines?

Seems Derrickson is endorsing Raimi to take the reigns of Dr Strange II now publicly. I wonder what exactly were the "creative differences" Scott bailed over?

I know this is not MCU related, but it is still Marvel movie related. My wife bought me the Sam Raimi Spider-Man trilogy on 4K for our anniversary and I have spent the week watching them. I think it is the better part of a decade since I watched this and I must admit I was surprised by reaction to these. Before I watched these again, Spider-Man 2 would have made my top 10 Marvel movie list, but now.... it would not even crack the top 20. I was very dissapointed in watching it again after all these years. I like Spidey/Peter and the inner turmoil that he is going through, but I hated Doc Ock, I remember thinking he was good when this movie first came out, but it just never clicked for me this time. I actually had the most fun with the first Spider-Man movie. This held up way better than I thought and I forgot how brutal that fight with Spidey and the Green Goblin is when Spidey gets the crap beaten out of him and his mask is all ripped. This scene is one of my favorites in the whole trilogy. Spider-Man 3.... is what is. My feelings towards this are basically what they have always been. I used to hate Topher Grace as Eddie Brock, but despite his similar stature to Peter Parker, I think he was way more Eddie Brock than Tom Hardy was. Also, we all give Spider-Man 3 a lot of crap, but that Venom transformation scene is ing awesome, it is near perfect in my eyes and my favorite scene from this whole trilogy. Just a shame the way Venom was forced into this movie. Overall, these 4Ks were great to watch, some of the CG looked bad, but for the most part these are still pretty fun movies.

I see Christian Bale is gonna be the bad guy in Thor 4 & Richard E Grant has been conformed for Loki. 2 great pieces of casting if true.
I watched The Winter Soldier again this afternoon....what an excellent excellent movie. Absolutely love it.
