Great stuff! I really appreciate the deep dive into the line. You did a great job getting a ton of info out while still keeping it very conversational and an enjoyable listen.

Thanks very much for the feedback stc13It was a fun chat and it hopefully answered a few questions that people had, including some of those asked in this very thread. I’m really happy we’re able to provide some prizes too. Those signed art sheets look great. We’ve got a number of other wrestling figure related interviews (and comps) ready to upload on to our humble pod page. So please give us a follow and keep your eyes on our ‘Hands Off The Merchandise’ playlist 👍

Grapple Arcade I really enjoyed hearing that interview. Gives me more excitement for this line. The one thing that got my attention was the mention of the possibility of a 4/ 6 sided real scale ring. I would love to have a 6 sided real scale ring ever since jakks gave us hope when they showed concept for their TNA line and then it never seen the light of day let alone see an actual prototype. It would been something new and just awesome! Great interview and I look soo forward to their line.

But a 6 sided ring would be an instant buy. Other highlights that jumped out at me: -"Basic" figures are coming and they will try not to repeat characters between the basics and premium lines in short order. So the roster they have to work from must be a decent size. -The company sounded very accessible and open to sharing news. A welcome change from Mattel, and something that I hope helps them develop a fan base. -Vampiro was specifically mentioned. He'd be a huge want for me. -Non-masked heads are a possibility in the future. Wolfpac style Konnan would be a huge hit, imo. I was worried they'd stick to masked figures only because they are easier to sculpt. -Price point will be between $35-40. $35 is the sweet spot, imo. At $40 I'd probably be very selective in my purchases. Overall I really liked what I heard, and hope can't wait for these to go live.

Yeah, the potential of a 6-sider is interesting. I think the ‘majority’ will prefer a standard side, saying that, that’s if you look at the general mass market. As these are likely to be aimed at collectors, and in some cases purists, 6 sides may indeed work... if you have a decent size/shape shelf 😆
One thing I can confirm that we discussed off air, whilst most of his team worked for Hasbro, none were there before 97, you can imagine I had A LOAD of questions ready to go.

Looks absolutely awesome. I know I’m possibly being a bit biased but this line are looking to be pretty special.

Looks absolutely awesome. I know I’m possibly being a bit biased but this line are looking to be pretty special. If these are in pretty accurate scale to Mattel, I think you're right. I'm excited to get these anyway--especially if the likes of La Parka are possible--but being in accurate scale will put it over the top. Between these and the potential of the NJPW figures, this is a great time to be a collector.

So, yeah, exciting times 👍

So...yeah...AAA Retros! Squeeeeee!! Are these real or just customs? They're legit. Boss Fight is working on a full line of products, from basic and elite style figures to the Hasbro and 3.75 in figures. Licenses are through Masked Republic, who have pretty close ties to AAA.

Sorry to disappoint, but those Hasbro mould’s are indeed just customs that were on display. Boss Fight have confirmed as much. The 3” to 4” scale they have been contemplating are more like GI Joe style.
