More faith is put in Orton's drive to the top. Universe diverges from What if Brock Lesnar stays.

Lesnar seeing the rise of this star on his own, helps Orton become his 1# contender. Taboo Tuesday swings by and these two tear down the house with Lesnar winning. Tensions are brewing on Raw after these past few months with old enemies of Lesnar. It finally built to a Elimination Chamber match, in which Chris Beniot won back his world title. Lesnar sought back the title, but it was Orton who would help Triple H become 1# contender.

Orton's swagger and parade of the title would light fire under Triple H, and Triple H would use the Pedigree as his resolve and faith at taking the title back with severe mind games ruling out the young inexperienced champion. Orton would walk out of Vengeance 2005 with a new respect to his name and World Title around his waist. Orton in this time would soon catch negative attention from Bischoff with Orton's mouth and the brash youth Orton conveys. Chris Jericho found his career on hard times, until a unlikely Eric Bischoff would seem to align himself with Jericho. Jericho was respected by Orton and vice versa, and Orton respected Jericho. Until, Jericho officially sold out, and ripped apart the idea of the rookie and questioned him. A bitter veteran and WWE's youngest Main event, were set for Summer Slam 2005. Orton shined on the biggest show of the Summer.
Jericho wasn't done, and Bischoff gave him final match placing both mens careers on the line. It was high stake, and emotional. But, Orton got the job done ending Chris Jericho's career. A angry Kurt Angle would storm the ring taking out Orton and beating the holy hell out of him. Kurt Angle finally beat Shawn Michaels at Summer Slam in the best of 3 series. Angle was back for gold, and Bischoff was willing to give Angle the chance due to merit. Angle would prove to get the best of Orton and injure Orton's ankle going into the event.
Orton under pressure and odds managed to leave Unforgiven 2005, as champion. The young rookie lived to shine another day, but only for Angle to add more insult to injury. Angle continue to make Orton's life hell with Bischoff stacking the odds for Taboo Tuesday in a Submission match. Orton found himself having to use submissions to combat the odds he was up against. Taboo Tuesday 2005, Angle managed to defeat Orton. Angle back as champion, claiming to have broke Orton's ankle and broke the cinderella story. Angle found himself a very disliked man on Raw, and contenders were stacking up. Orton formed a coalition to remove Bischoff from power of years of abuse. Angle found himself having to bribe off other heels for Survivor Series with title shots. At Survivor Series 2005 Team Orton took on Team Angle and the winning team would run Raw for each week. Team Orton managed to win.
All stars would abuse power creating chaos to the point when Bischoff returned he only saw one option of order and bringing it back, the Elimination Chamber. Angle was not a captain no more, it was 5 on 1. But in the end of the day, Angle was able to outwit Orton at New Years Revolution and retain the title.
The feud would come to blows for Royal Rumble with Orton's place on Raw on the line with Bischoff's management on the line as given by Mr.McMahon . The stakes could not be higher. Orton managed to defeat Angle and regain the World Championship.

Batista returned after injury ripping through SmackDown's US title scene. and made it to the Rumble last eliminating Triple H. The stage was set. The two break out stars, one title. Tension. Orton would insult Batista because of him staying loyal, and saying he never was brother. Batista would see himself set on the goal and the title and that the question of who was better was always talked about.
