I am super happy with the reveals. We finally get Sherri and Liz!!! Happy with Zeus also. I have to have brother love, so whatever I will buy it.
And… I think it was a good move to make the bloodline. I hope they are picky with modern guys and only release marquee names. I want Cody / Punk / Drew / Gunther next !!!

Surely there is no big market for this? Surely there is no big market for the hottest act in the hottest period of wrestling in 20 years. Surely. Roman Reigns is the most valuable figure in the entire retro line, but surely nobody wants him... Meanwhile, the Tugboat/Luger/Doink/Valentine wave that all the Hasbro experts said the collectors really wanted is the worst selling retro wave since the return. Junk Yard Dogg and Ric Flair are both more valuable than Roman. You could make a case for Savage too. All of these are from the golden era. That said I'm stoked for all of them. I am over the moon about Zeus, reminds me of my dog named Zeus! Then they top it off with Sherri and Liz! What a set! You know when Hogan is the least exciting figure of the 4 that you have a winner.

Really disappointed they wasted a spot in a already limited line to put out those bloodline figures.i thought the agenda after bringing them back as a MC exclusive was only to do older eras of wrestling. These things are supposed to hit the nostalgia spot for people who grew up with Hasbro's. Doubt anyone watching the bloodline storyline has held one in their lives. I was going to be a completionist with these and buy them all but now I'm rethinking.

He's one of the maybe 4 retros in existence I haven't bought yet, and didn't really have any plans too. But I do see him go on eBay for around $50, a little over half of what I paid for the flair retro.

Interesting. The Rip figure comes with a belt, didn't notice that the first time around.

Think that’s me done on Mattel retros, only one I would have taken was Brother Love but I don’t need a ring.
The other retro companies are doing a far better job for old school/Hasbro collectors, these just look weird to me and the talent choices strange too.

As someone who enjoys the Hasbro form factor but wasn't alive when they were released, I'm loving the Bloodline set. Between Mattel and all the independent companies making retro figures, I'm enjoying building a collection of contemporary wrestlers.

I am so happy to finally have Retro versions of the Sensational Sherri and Miss Elizabeth. If nothing else happened this week, those would be two of the most important. As a kid, I would use versions of Jeanine from the Ghostbusters to stand in for both of those women--so both women were a big part of my figure federation as a kid--but this is just so much better. Well done! Also, Brother Love is a huge get so I am very happy with him. Am I excited for the Bloodline? Not really, to be wholly honest. I don't really watch the modern product much but I understand others are probably very excited to have them. I would have preferred the Wild Samoans in Retro form but not everything is about me, I acknowledge. LOL. Thanks, Mattel Team! You did good.

I think no matter what Mattel do people are never happy. All of us have different favourites, Eras, opinions. I started watching from around 1990 so have no interest in 80's retros but others will. I will still buy them but they don't get me excited. I buy to support the line no matter what as we lucky to have them at all and by passing all the time and moaning about every series doesn't help any of us.The attitude era was huge to me and the more the better but others will say they not old enough etc for timeline. As for current I am all for it. just because they are retro style figures it doesn't mean they all have to be old characters. Many people in their 30's-40's still watch or have got back into WWE as its on fire and collect retros. For any that don't watch it now have no interest but a lot of people do. Mixing all eras is the best way, OLD SCHOOL / ATTITUDE / AGGRESSION / CURRENT. Everyone is happy and no one makes you buy anything you don't want anyway. Personally a good mix for me is the way to go and keep my interest. I think the Bloodline is a sign that Mattel understands where the money is and what a large part of the fanbase want. Common sense will tell you BLOODLINE SET or WENDY / HOGAN / ALI SET that the Bloodline set can do huge numbers. Bottom line is pick the right characters and a good mix. I neither want to go back to the days of a random Elias etc. Also mattel are the only ones who generally can touch modern / modernish talent. we have so many companies doing old school and plugging all the holes its not like there's nothing around on top of what mattel make too. this way everyone gets a good choice.I dont want another hogan or zeus but others may be jumping for joy. Lets just enjoy anything that comes

Ringside retros announced, Roman Reigns and some others who I've no idea! I don't watch it anymore, here for nostalgia! What a missed opportunity for ringside! Terrible! 100% agree, but they'll probably sell cause people have been asking for it for whatever reason. I have no idea why though, if you want modern guys why not just get Elite's and Ultimate's. I don't need Brother Love neither, and I already have pretty much an identical Royal Rumble ring that I painted, and of course has the real WWF logos not the fake WW logos anyway. I do need that Rip and Zues though. I hope we see something additional but I kinda doubt it unless they're going to up the amount of sets they put out a year.

Nostalgia isn't just the characters from back then its also the style of figure. Why would people who like current wrestling who only collect retros want to buy an elite or ultimate, surely that's obvious. Why would people want the bloodline? I'm pretty sure way more people want the bloodline then rip and zeus that's for sure

Great set of reveals IMO. I was hoping Ringside would maybe do the Nation or a WCW set, but I will likely pick up Bloodline and I didn't get D-X. Zeus, Liz, and Queen Sherri were such missing figures this is a homerun, and Hogan as Rip I can live with Yeah me too, I really want WCW stuff. I don't know how well that modern pack will sell, I wouldn't care if it wasn't at the sake of actual retro names, but it sucks that we're pretty much only getting 8 per year again now. Twice a year 4 pack is too few, and it really takes the wind out of things when we need to go 6 months in between releases.

Was gonna say, I think alot has to do with how many were produced. Roman and KO (who had a repaint so the OG isn't as valued as Roman) were short productions. Macho and Flair are very valued but the 3 modern guys that accompanied them in their respective 4 packs don't sell for much at all.

As you say with so few releases people are desperate for what THEY want (including myself) and it's deflating when you have no interest in certain figures or eras and know you have to wait another year. more releases would help this issue

I am SO disappointed by the Bloodline. If this becomes a current/retro trade off, it means we only get half actual Retros each year.
Why would I want to put Roman Reigns next to a Hasbro figure from 30 years earlier. This really sucks. I understand some collectors might want it, but I hope it's the worst seller ever and we never see it again. Sadly, I'll probably be wrong.
Hate to be negative, but Hogan and Zeus are total flops for me. Hogan is basically a repaint from two sets ago. I'll get the set anyway for Sherri and Elizabeth -- but I was hoping both would look better IMO. I hope they look better in person.

So, as for what's coming out, only stuff I'm into beyond the set for next month would be Rip and Zeus. So that's probably it for the next year for me, 6 figures counting the Shawn/Alundra set. At least as a good thing for me, others are clamouring for Liz and Sheri, so shouldn't be a problem for me to resell those and keep Rip and Zeus. I absolutley had the idea of the bloodline set, and probably not getting anything else from RSC. Thank god for the indy companies keeping things exciting, just wish more legends wouldn't be exclusive to Mattel anymore, or at least would have lapses in contracts so they could get pumped out by the other companies. Imagining if Epic or Hasttel could get guys like Bret, Hogan, Anvil, HBK, Warrior. And they're actually willing to go the extra mile of doing proper sculpts and detail that collectors really want.

Pretty great reveals overall I think - Mattel have been good to us again this year, and I appreciate them for it. Never perfect of course, but we all know the realities at play here so take the positives. The Royal Rumble ring is something I would've ordered anyway as I have the completist sickness with the line, so I guess I could look at Brother Love as an extra in that respect. I hope that he will be on a separate card in the box like they do with the ring exclusive Ultimate Editions - I want to have them all in my MOC display. I would also will need to buy a second for the loose figure if he does have separate carding in the box. But do I need a third though in that case? One loose, one on display MOC, and one in the sealed box with the ring? Damn that Ozer and his evil marketing genius The Bloodline is a surprise - we spoke in this thread about if they could've done a WrestleMania XL main event package to build on the nostalgia of that event, but I didn't foresee them doing this set in the Ringside slot. I wonder if they tried to get a Final Boss Rock in the set, or a Hayman to better bridge the gap between the eras? I like them overall though, but wish that the Usos didn't have the same pose/attack; I get that they are twins but they could still have distinct moves; especially in a two-pack. It'll be interesting to see how the Bloodline sells - it's a gamble that I don't think will perform as well as say a Nation set or a Hart Foundation set, but there's no denying the Bloodline's domination in recent years, so lets see how the modern fan reacts to the set. The first 2025 Creations set is little short of incredible: Sherri and Miss Elizabeth!! Amazing. I'd like it if they'd introduced a completely different female body into the mix, but we have to take what we get. Hogan being a repaint is similarly disappointing, but him as Rip and with the title is outstanding. Zeus is a good addition to the line as well; before my time slightly but no doubt in my mind he is worthy. Most importantly we've seen that there is still commitment to the line - Ringside is getting another set despite the first two still being available; Creations is carrying another bundle of the product, and we've seen them commit to another ring so soon after the last one, as well additional accessories like the belt; so my thanks to Mattel and the team responsible for the Retros continuing.
